3dp5dt and I have no symptoms this time. I can’t tell if this is a good or bad thing!

I’m 3dp5dt on transfer #4. My clinic doesn’t do betas, so I have to do an FRER 14dp5dt.

Transfer #1 was fresh and failed. I had zero symptoms really. I felt totally normal.
Transfer #2 was a chemical (VVV faint positive 5dp5dt which got a tiny bit darker for 2 days before getting lighter). I had mild cramps from 4dpt.
Transfer #3 was a chemical (waited to test until 13DPO and got a strong positive, but not as dark as control line. Didn’t get any darker the next day. Requested beta 18dpt which was 14). Some mild cramps on and off then pink discharge 9dpt. Cramps from 9dpt, but got much worse 14dpt.

Anyway, this time, I feel completely normal. I was a little crampy for the first 24 hours, then now no cramps at all really. No twinges or pains or cramps. Nothing.

I’m driving myself crazy thinking about whether this is a good or bad sign! I guess I’d view it as a good sign if I still feel normal by 9dp5dt, as that’s usually when it starts to go downhill with cramps, spotting or fainter tests.

Any thoughts? Anyone else had this?

Thanks.

It's much easier said than done I know but I don't think symptom spotting is going to help and at this stage it's unlikely you would get any strong signs either way. So many people on these forums had zero symptoms or feeling AF was coming and bfp or several symptoms that could be pregnancy (progesterone can cause them too) and bnf.
Good luck for 2ww, I'm in it now too and it's torture!xx

dogmam · 28/11/2021 16:10

I am also 3dp5dt from a FET! I also have no symptoms, think I may have had a couple of twinges but that's about it, completely normal otherwise.
My last FET (I had a freeze all cycle) resulted in a chemical, although positives for a good 5 days from 9dpt onwards but second hcg blood test didn't increase.
Is this a fresh or frozen round for you? My clinic likes me to test at 9dpt so next weekend. 14dpt seems a long time to wait, will you test early?
I'm on estrogen tablets, progesterone pessaries plus this time I'm also using lubion progesterone injections so hoping that helps.
This waiting is awful but at the same time I don't want bad news so happy to wait for test day.

Thanks for sharing!
Eugh. Chemicals are the worst! They're a difficult rollercoaster of an incredible high, then it all comes crashing back down.
It’s a frozen transfer! We were very lucky in that we ended up with 6 embryos, so all transfers so far have been from my first retrieval.
Ooo 9dpt is so much earlier than my clinic! It is a long time to wait, but I definitely won’t be testing early. We learnt our lesson after the second transfer when I tested from 4dpt and spent the next few days freaking out that the tests weren’t getting much darker. It was absolutely awful. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Similarly, I would have missed the chemical on the last transfer if I’d taken the test like 17dpt, and not 13dpt. So yeah, the later I can test the better for me!
I’m on that combo too: oestrogen tablets, cyclogest pessaries twice per day plus Lubion injections once per day!
Good luck!!! 🤞🏻

Yes, the chemical was awful as the tests were so convincing, but after about 5 days the line stopped getting darker so I requested bloods which were low, the clinic made me wait over a week to retest which confirmed the chemical. So it was kind of dragged out for about 2 weeks since the test date which ment staying on the medication too.
6 embryos wow! That's a great result. So you still have 2 frozen?
Yeah not sure why my clinics test date is so early, they only prescribe the medication up to test date too, so couldn't do it any later even if we wanted to. I'm the same as you though, no plans on testing early, the fear of a bfn is too strong, I'm dreading testing as it'll mean it all over until another full round.

How are you finding the lubion? I think they really hurt, more so than any other injection.
How have you felt today? Any 'symptoms'? Nothing on my end.

Damn. That sounds so hard. Yes we still have 2 frozen after that. They aren’t tested or anything though, so they could all be non-viable for all we know! I’m finding Lubion absolutely fine to be honest! Maybe 1 in 5 it will sting a little, but nothing bad. It’s also bruised me pretty badly a couple of times too. That’s so odd how everyone reacts to it differently! I started getting my usual pre-period pains last night, which are very characteristic of my period (I get cramps only when I move after then for a few second after sitting back down). They’re not bad and they’re only every now and again, so I’m trying to stay positive. I haven’t had any twinges or anything. I feel pretty normal other than those few seconds of period-like cramps once I sit back down after moving around. That’s me 4dpt now. You still not had any ‘symptoms’ at all?

I wouldn't worry too much about them not being tested, especially with all the recent updates on if testing is actually accurate. For now at least you have two safe and sound in storage.

I have only heard good things about period pains so fingers crossed it's a good sign for you. I've feel absolutely normal. Tiny bit dizzy today maybe but that's about it. Last time with the chemical I felt lots of twinges, almost every day, so now it's trying to reconcile in my head if it's a good thing or a bad thing not to be feeling the same as last time as obviously it worked but then resulted in a loss so..?!

Are you working or have you taken any time off? Is this your first? What's the reason for you needing treatment?

Roo45 · 29/11/2021 18:01

I'm 4dp3dt and going crazy with symptom spotting! I've taken a few days off work as it's so busy at present but I'm back later in the week and already getting stressed and then stressing about being stressed running my chances of implantation lol x

dogmam · 29/11/2021 18:18

@roo45 aw it's mental torture this isn't it! I'm not exaggerating when I say I've googled all day today! When are you testing? How are you feeling?

tiggerwhocamefortea · 29/11/2021 18:23

I didn't have any symptoms in the cycle that ultimately worked for me - i used to keep a log of everything in the 2ww after all 4 transfers - my successful round i didn't have any cramps no nausea no sore boobs no lightheadedness nothing at all - I didn't sleep at all for googling symptoms and looking for success stories of BFPs with no symptoms ....I had twins

Roo45 · 29/11/2021 20:36

@dogmam not until next week! I'm getting random abdominal twinges but I know it's too early to mean anything either way! I do feel as if AF is coming but that could be the progesterone too! I stupidly tested yesterday but it's only been a week since my trigger so that doesn't mean anything either way! So silly lol. Good luck to you all and thanks @tiggerwhocamefortea xx

Yeah you’re totally right! Thanks. I’ve gone from no symptoms much at all (some mild cramping after movement but nothing major) to constant cramping since mid-day today. I have a constant, crampy ache deep in my groin tonight. It’s so uncomfortable and it’s giving me a really, really bad feeling. Feels like the last time when my tests started lightening 👎🏻 Still only 5dpt so fingers crossed it’s implantation. I totally get what you mean though. Because I had lots of cramps and twinges with my chemicals, I don’t want any cramps this time. Haha. I haven’t taken any time off, but I only work 3 days per week and it’s from home and not stressful or physical. Have you taken any time off?
Yes, we have no children so far. What about you? I have endometriosis and I don’t often ovulate. My husband and I are both in our late 20s and his side of things is great. For some reason though, our embryos just don’t seem to stick. We conceived while I was on clomid, but had a chemical, then transfer #1 failed completely, while the following 2 were chemicals, then here we are! What’s your reason for treatment?

Thank you for your reply! That’s good to know. Unfortunately, my lack of symptoms didn’t last very long. I’m reeeeeeally crampy today. I was getting intermittent period-like cramps all day, and now I just have a constant moderately sore cramp deep in my groin. I no longer feel moderately hopeful, as cramping like this is how I felt at this time when my tests started lightening 🤷🏻‍♀️ We will see!

@IAmSickOfWaiting @Roo45 how are you both doing?! Have either of you caved and tested yet? I haven't, I'm waiting until my OTD on Saturday. 7dpt today and honestly the anxiety is unreal. I think I've been feeling tiny crampy pains really low down almost top of my leg so probably completely unrelated!! Also felt a little bit sickly laat night but again probably completely unrelated as I'd been out for tea so probably just ate too much.

@IAmSickOfWaiting are you tempted to try Clomid again? Me and my partner are both 31 and we have male factor, everything with me has been fine although to be honest once the male factor was identified I didn't get any other tests as it was just straight to ICSI. Yeah I'm back at work but from home so not too bad.

I’m doing ok thanks! Driving myself mad with symptom spotting when I know I really shouldn’t! I’m 7dp5dt too and haven’t tested. I will definitely not be testing until OTD, which is 14dpt. Not long for you to wait now until OTD! Fingers crossed!
I had really bad cramps for a few hours in the evening of 5dpt and since then, I feel pretty normal. Some mild cramps intermittently. But nothing crazy. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not, as my chemicals always came with lots of bad cramping.

Nah we definitely wouldn’t try clomid again. IVF is the gold standard, so if this doesn’t work, it’s very unlikely clomid would work, especially when the first time resulted in a chemical and I’ve had more of them since. That’s good they managed to pinpoint what is likely the issue. Hopefully this is the one for you guys! 🤞🏻

@dogmam I'm 7dp3dt and BFN and an early clear blue, I stupidly used my last frer to test the trigger! I know it's early but it did upset me, OTD isn't until next week but I thought something might have shown up by now?
I wish I had your willpower!
Been getting lots of sharp abdo pains which is a little weird for me but it's not anywhere specific just all over and some bad abdo cramps today but that could just be constipation from the pessaries lol sorry tmi!
Good luck xxx

Damn. I’m really sorry. That’s so disappointing. You’re not totally out at 7dpt, but I completely know how I feels. I believe 90-something% get their positive by 7dpt 😕
Haha I only have this willpower because I couldn’t handle the stress of daily testing out another chemical!
Ohhh that’s odd then. I hope it’s good signs and you’ve just tested too early 🤞🏻
I woke up this morning to awful, awful period-like cramps, but I went to the loo (TMI) then felt better within an hour. I’ve had a few mild one off cramps throughout the day today, but nothing major. My body is confusing meeeee 😩😅
Good luck to you too ❤️

Tested today on a FRER and nothing, I know it's not impossible but not particularly hopeful

IAmSickOfWaiting · 06/12/2021 07:48

Update:

I caved and tested 11dpt. It was positive. All my positive tests in the past have resulted in a chemical and I did have one instance of red discharge last night, so I’m not hopeful. Testing again on OTD, which is 3 days away. Unfortunately, betas aren’t common here, so will just have to be a HPT, then I will take it from there.

@Roo45 I'm so sorry. Look after yourself x

@IAmSickOfWaiting we are in the exact same boat! Your test looks very positive to me though, I don't know about your past chemicals but mine were a lot fainter than that.

My official test date was Saturday and we got a positive! Much darker than my chemical last time however the same day I also had a little spotting. My clinic don't routinely do bloods but I rang and because of what happened last time, they agreed and took bloods today so just waiting for them to ring me this afternoon with the result. I tested again and the line is darker and I got 2-3 weeks on a clear blue digital. The spotting stopped too so I'm just hoping this is it.

IAmSickOfWaiting · 06/12/2021 13:05

@dogmam
Congratulations on also getting a positive test! I know what you mean. My first IVF chemical was faint, but my last one was quite dark at 13dpt then didn’t get any darker 14dpt and I had constant, intense period-like cramps so I requested betas from my family doctor. This is what my 13-14dpt looked like. I haven’t had any major cramps at all yet that I’ve had on all of my chemicals (I’ve had little singular, cramps though) so am hopeful that continues. The fact you got 2-3 weeks on a digital is amazing! That sounds very positive and I truly hope your bloods come back good. Please let us know how they go! 🤞🏻❤️

3dp5dt and I have no symptoms this time. I can’t tell if this is a good or bad thing!
OP posts:
dogmam · 06/12/2021 17:03

@IAmSickOfWaiting wow those 13 and 14dpo test are very strong, was that when you beta was 14?
I think all you can do is keep testing or maybe ask your clinic to do bloods, especially with your history they may be more willing?

Clinic called and beta is 474 so I'm very happy. No repeat bloods though which make me nervous so just waiting for my scan at the end of the month. I've been feeling very crampy, but I am just assuming this is a good thing. I don't really get period cramps so can't compare but they aren't painful just very noticeable.

IAmSickOfWaiting · 06/12/2021 17:58

@dogmam
Yeah they’re 13dp5dt and 14dp5dt from my last transfer. The beta that was 14 wasn’t taken until 18dp5dt though! The pain started 13dpt but my family doctor couldn’t see me until 18. I’m going to test on OTD and take it from there. Probably request at least one beta from my family doctor regardless. If it’s the same or darker then I will be happy, but if it’s lighter then we will know it’s failed.

Yay!! That’s a brilliant beta! Awww now you’ve got to wait for your scan. That’s going to feel like such a long wait. Haha. Amazing news though!
