I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure Sad

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

@want2bemum oh yes I’m definitely over blood tests and needles!! I know during my first cycle it didn’t hurt at all doing injections etc this time I’ve bruised etc and it’s just because it’s different have to tell myself it’s fine! Think it’s hard because you compare to others!

@GodspeedJune yes can definitely drive you mad! Yes like when my other half does them I don’t think twice when I have to do them I’m like nope that surely wasn’t right! I think I was like nope they neeed this test so got to keep going!! Ha ha! Oh yes I keep telling myself it will all be worth it 😊

Reefy · 25/10/2021 13:51

@GodspeedJune thank you 😊

Yeah that's a funny thing to have been told. I was told when I had my tubes if I was lucky enough to fall naturally that I was at high risk of an ectopic pregnancy.

Yes they have been really good. He comes into reception with me when I have my scans too they have never asked him to leave. He never used to on last cycle but others were turning up with their partners so I told him too. We are really careful & both test for covid everyday & only go to work & home literally nowhere else at the moment 😂.

Is your appointment next week face to face or on zoom as all mine have been on zoom?

Reefy · 25/10/2021 13:54

@want2bemum yes they weighed me as I was gowned up ready to go 😂 nothing was gonna stop that! I'm sure it's only to do with the amount of sedation.

GodspeedJune · 25/10/2021 14:01

Will definitely all be worth it PositiveeVibes 🤞

Haha I don’t blame you Reefy if you can’t beat them then join them! Yes I’m pretty much in isolation now too, just can’t afford to catch covid and end up with any delays! DP has to work on site but I’ve warned him to keep a distance from all his pals Grin

We had the choice of video call or phone. Went with phone as my Wi-fi can be temperamental. Will be odd doing it by phone, I feel like the conversation and questions flow in to my mind easier in person. Have you found the zoom meetings ok?

Reefy · 25/10/2021 14:13

@GodspeedJune absolutely! Yes my DP works for a prem football club so over 32,000 fans on match days so I'm like stay away from people he is like but how there are too many people & how can I do my job 😂 luckily when it's not a match it's pretty quiet & it's only if it falls on his shift so it's not every game luckily 😂. I'm currently waiting for my shopping to come as not even going & doing that just don't want to risk it.
Yes I found them pretty good.
I wrote down my questions as I thought of them but they covered most of them anyway. Anything you think of just pop it down & ask it as silly as you might think it is still ask. My doctor said to me on my last zoom I was a lovely patient to treat & I have a very positive mental attitude towards it so that was nice to hear.

PositiveeVibes · 25/10/2021 14:35

@Reefy wow sounds like you have been through a lot and still going!! Hope this all works out for you!

Reefy · 25/10/2021 15:20

@PositiveeVibes thank you 😊

GodspeedJune · 25/10/2021 15:44

Always lovely to have a compliment like that Reefy , can really lift your mood, can’t it? That’s so funny about him trying to stay away from people on match day Grin

Yes I need to start jotting my questions down really, my memory is of the sieve variety and I’ll lose track of them otherwise!

Reefy · 25/10/2021 15:50

@GodspeedJune yes it was & I was smiling for ages.
Il have to get him a morph suit for March days 😂😂.
Yes definitely start jotting them down, I used to just put them on my phone as I thought of them until I got home to put them all on one bit of paper.

Reefy · 27/10/2021 13:09

How is everyone getting on in their cycles?
I had a scan today & they said it all looks as it should & I have some good follicles so I have to start my fyremedal injection tonight as well as my menopur.
Next scan is booked for Friday.

PositiveeVibes · 27/10/2021 16:28

@Reefy glad you had a good scan sounds positive! I’ve got my first one tomorrow to confirm down regulation then hopefully start stims! But feeling good and positive! How you doing?

Reefy · 27/10/2021 16:57

@PositiveeVibes good luck. That's good you feel positive, best way to go!
Yes absolutely fine. Just got everything crossed I get some Frosties this time. Everything just seems the same as last time at the moment so I'm finding it ok, just 1 less injection which I'm not complaining about 😂.

PositiveeVibes · 27/10/2021 17:33

@Reefy aww good! Yes that’s in back of my mind too I Hope I get some Frosties too!! Ha ha yeah I wouldn’t complain either, know when your EC will be yet?

Reefy · 27/10/2021 17:43

@PositiveeVibes fingers crossed we have some. They told me during my nurse consultation either 3rd or 5th November so not long! Last time they gave me 2 dates too but it was the later one so I reckon it will be the same again. How about yourself?

want2bemum · 27/10/2021 17:58

@Reefy Wow, we are literally in alignment!

I had a scan today as well and was told to start fyremedal when I got home. Everything looking good so fingers crossed. I have my next scan Friday too!

Reefy · 27/10/2021 18:13

@want2bemum oh how weird. I ended up like that with someone on the August thread too 😂
Yep my next scan is Friday too 😂. They only had to try 3 times for me today for my blood test 😂 (that's pretty good)

PositiveeVibes · 27/10/2021 19:02

@Reefy let’s hope so! Oo not long at all then! Nope haven’t had any dates yet hoping I’ll kind of know tomorrow! Glad I’m not the only one who struggles with blood tests ha ha!
@want2bemum hope all is going okay and fingers crossed for Friday!

PositiveeVibes · 28/10/2021 09:40

Been for my down regulation scan this morning and still showing some fluid so to continue on Bueserlin and rescan next Wednesday! Although I’m a little disappointed I’m glad they’re holding back as last time it wasn’t where it needed to be and they went ahead anyway! (That nurse has left since and I have to go to main clinic for this scan!) see what next Wednesday brings!

Reefy · 28/10/2021 09:43

@PositiveeVibes sorry to hear that. Yes it's good they are doing the right thing & holding off. Fingers crossed for scan next Wednesday

PositiveeVibes · 28/10/2021 10:00

@Reefy thank you! Wishing you luck for your scan tomorrow!

Reefy · 28/10/2021 10:50

@PositiveeVibes thank you ☺️

want2bemum · 28/10/2021 12:06

@PositiveVibes Thank you and good luck to you too. It must be frustrating having a delay but they know what they're doing and hopefully will get you the best results this way, fingers crossed.

@Reefy Good luck for tomorrow to you too!
Ugh I needed three goes for the blood test on Weds too, I don't have easy veins. The nurse must have thought I was really unsociable cause I was just sat there staring at the wall with my teeth gritted going... "It's OK.... don't worry....!" as she was trying to get the needle in. Lol. Yuck.

I went out to the park yesterday with my friend who has an 18 month old girl who is just the sweetest, playing on the swings and climbing frames with her and other kids. It made me sooo broody! But it's nice to have a reminder of why I am doing this and that is will be so worth it to have a child.

Reefy · 28/10/2021 12:18

@want2bemum thank you. I'm sure the nurses are used to it as not everyone is good with blood tests. Oh absolutely! I struggled doing my injections last night for some reason they didn't wanna go in & I was like no there is a reason I'm doing this!

PositiveeVibes · 28/10/2021 13:20

@want2bemum yes it is a little frustrating but I know it’s for the best and last time they just went ahead with it so glad they’ve delayed it!
I’m no good with blood tests either but you keep going so they have all the information they need!
Aww it will be so worth it! I hope we all get the outcomes we deserve! X

heasmanne · 28/10/2021 15:03

Hi everyone I hope you don't mine me jumping on. I had my ET Monday so I'm in my TWW and my anxiety is through the roof. This is my second round I thought I would be more relaxed.
Thinking of you all on your cycles Xx
