I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure Sad

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

I bet it is I'm not looking on Google this time as Google isn't my friend 😂. Maybe it's worse as you have already been through it once.

Welcome @heasmanne and good luck to you. Eep I haven't got the the TWW yet but imagine it's torturous. Do you have any distraction strategies?

I was also wondering what everyone is doing Covid-wise at the moment? I keep thinking I shouldn't do too much social stuff but then it's so hard when you really need a distraction from all this! Are you guys all isolating/ being careful or not so much? My clinic has told me that if I get Covid the whole thing will be abandoned :(

@want2bemum We are only going to work & home, having our shopping delivered & we are doing lateral flow tests everyday. We have no social life at the moment 😂 not even seeing the in laws but luckily I work in my family business so I get to see them that way but they test everyday too. It's really tough but we just want to be really sure we aren't putting ourselves at risk!

@Reefy Yeah, that sounds really sensible. It is tough though isn't it?

I've only been doing outdoor things with one or two people at a time, but I think I would find it soo hard to stop entirely, so trying to get a balance. It all feels very isolating sometimes doing this.

Me and my partner have totally gone against the grain and have told all of our friends and family about it. We'll probably regret it if/ when it doesn't work, but I think I'm just someone who really craves a support network! We have had a mix of reactions, some really supportive, some kind of confused that we have told them I think lol. But I like to talk Grin and also think it's good to raise awareness.

But yeah with Covid I'm just trying to balance things and not be indoors with groups of people. Plus working from home is a blessing and we have shopping delivered too! I love it :)

Well, off to do my injections.....

@want2bemum yes it definitely is. I just feel it gives us the best chance of keeping safe.
Well if you have told people then they will understand. I have only told 1 friend as she has been on the journey too but unfortunately had quite a few failed transfers but she really has been amazing & I feel so lucky to have her. I do have a few other friends who have had IVF & been successful but I just don't feel I want everyone to know, I'm quite a secretive person 😂 (my family call me a secret squirrel) 🤣🤣 it's totally everyone's own choice & there is no right or wrong way to do it.

Scan all looking good there are 13 follicles that are between 11-16mm & a few smaller ones of 8mm or so. Next scan Monday so hope some of the smaller ones catch up.

@want2bemum hope scan goes ok today.

@heasmanne I've just been having a nosey through a few threads and noticed we had ET on the same day! I'm also on my 2nd round!!! Is your OTD next Friday?

@Coops0406 my OTD is next Wednesday. I tested this morning I don't know why I did it lol got BFN. How are you holding up? Xx

@heasmanne that's quite early isn't it for OTD? I think we'll test next Wednesday as I'm at home rather than in work so gives me a day to deal with whatever happens. Was yours a fresh or frozen transfer? I'm trying to forget it really, which I'm managing quite a lot...but then have zero changes in me so feel like nothing is happening. It's rubbish isn't it, but like you say, too early to be reliable. Will you wait until Wednesday before you test again?

@Coops0406 Yes so at the clinic they do OTD 2 weeks after egg collection. That makes me feel better yours is Friday we still have lots of time! I had fresh transfer what about you? Oh I'm so glad you messaged, prior to my ET the progesterone was making me feel sick and have sore boobs but since the ET I've had absolutely nothing lol I feel back to my old self before the ivf round. X

@heasmanne yes fresh transfer too! Last time I had only 1 embryo and it didn't work. This time I'm lucky enough to have got 5 Frosties...such a complete turnaround to the first round!! I've had sore boobs since starting my injections and that's just stayed so it's not really a change. The progesterone is a hassle isn't it! 🤦🏾‍♀️

@Coops0406 ah amazing! Yes my first transfer only got 1 embryo got to transfer but it didn't stick. We have another one in the freezer but we only got 2 this time still better than the first! Yes I'm on progesterone injections as well as pessaries as AF came before OTD first round. Fingers crossed for us both second time lucky xx

Hi All,
I'm currently on Day 5 of stims of my 3rd IVF round. This time I'm doing a duo cycle of back-to-back retrievals at CRGH, London. My day 4 scan didn't go great and it sounded like they counted only 8 follicles, most measuring under 6mm. They were all business there, much less personal than my other clinic. Seems weird as in my previous rounds the follicle count was much higher at this stage. Was told to up my dose of Meriofert (mixing with Fostimon). I haven't had these drugs before so maybe I'm just responding slightly differently. Scan tomorrow and hoping for bigger/more follicles! It's such a rollercoaster!

@Reefy Ooh good news from your scan :) Mine went fine as well, all looking good, one of my ovaries is much more active than the other! But it's OK as there are lots of follicles overall. With us the issue is male factor though, so we sort of knew that I would probably be OK.

The tension for us will be when my partner does the sperm sample, and seeing if the embryos can develop as he has a lot of problems.

Fingers crossed for us all!

Is anyone doing anything nice this weekend? I'm mostly staying home (working) but meeting some friends for a walk this afternoon which I'm looking forward to way more than is normal/ reasonable for such a low key activity haha.

Hope everyone is feeling ok and looking after theirselves x

@want2bemum glad your scan went well. My left ovary was hiding as usual so I had to keep pressing on my left side for them to find it on the scan 😂. Do you know if you are having ICSI?
Work later but no plans for the weekend in this awful weather!
That will be nice, well when you have been having to pretty much stay home it's exciting just getting out 😂. Hope the weather improves for your walk later (who knows, where you are it might be ok)

Just wondering I don't have enough menopur in my vial for tonight but I have a whole new pack, do you think I can take out what's left & mix with the fresh one or would you do just the fresh one? I guess it's no good after 28 days anyway so not saving anything so maybe all fresh would be best?
