I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure Sad

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

OK so I caved and did a test this morning 7dp5dt and now sitting here wondering whether this positive line could be left over from Trigger shot which is why they say don't test early. Trigger shot was 2 weeks ago today so can it still be that? Will have to wait to Wednesday now and see if line gets darker so trying not to be too optimistic in case it all comes crashing down but was definitely feeling a few symptoms over the weekend. My OTD is not until 15dpt which seems a lifetime to wait and why wait that long as surely at 9dp5dt is the same as what would be 14dpo in a normal cycle? Plus I need to increase my thyroid medication as early as possible when pregnancy is confirmed to reduce risk of miscarriage which is making me test early to find out as I could be nearly 5 weeks by the OTD the clinic have given. Should I het my hopes up by my test today? Sorry for long post!

@Tiger86 I have everything crossed for you that line will just keep getting darker 🤞🏼 I'm only 5dp5dt and I'm so tempted to do an early one but my husband is like no chance 🤦🏻‍♀️

What symptoms did you feel over the last few days?

Tiger86 · 29/11/2021 06:40

@ivf1sttime first felt cramps on like Friday night but then Saturday woke up with a headache that wouldn't go away and just feeling very tired Saturday I know it seems minor symptoms but just felt something was happening which is why I caved and took a test today. Now the wait until Wednesday seems a long time 🤣

Ivf1sttime · 29/11/2021 06:42

@Tiger86 oh I know the waiting is so hard honestly wish u all the luck in the world that Wednesday test is a nice dark double line 😁

want2bemum · 29/11/2021 06:53

Hi everyone, sorry I've been a bit absent the past week or so!

I had my BFN almost two weeks ago (first cycle ICSI, male factor), but just popped on to see how you're all doing... hope everyone is OK today and especially fingers crossed for those in the TWW.

I'm feeling quite optimistic and really glad that my body is back to normal. We will try again in the new year with our final NHS funded cycle, we didn't get any frozen embryos so it's quite scary to think we only have one more shot before we have to start paying lots of money. At that point we may just decide on a sperm donor.

It's all so emotional and struggling to get my head around things, but I'm trying to just look forward to enjoying the Christmas holidays now and get some space away from it all.

Is anyone else with a BFN trying again at some point? How long do they make you wait? (we are waiting for our follow up still).

@Tiger86 That's very exciting to see a line!! You won't know for sure until OTD but it's looking promising for sure :) There's a chance it could still be the trigger shot but at this stage it seems less likely doesn't it? Please update us in the next few days!

Reefy · 29/11/2021 07:18

@want2bemum glad your body is Back to normal. On my last round August they said I had to have a bleed between cycles so had another round starting in October. I'm not sure if what area you are in or how it would stand but I've seen my clinic have posted a video on Instagram saying that the CCG have changed their rules & say about 3 cycles or sperm donors but not sure if that covers your area & if it would be for new NHS patients & I think it's unfair if it is but might be worth trying to find out. I haven't had my follow up yet but it's booked for 14th December.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 29/11/2021 08:00

@firefly37 thank you, super nervous this morning... hopefully you will get some answers Tuesday, it's really good they don't make you wait too long to speak to someone! It's so hard when you expect it to work, I was the same. My last cycle was my first ever IVF, and everyone I had spoken to in real life that had been at the same clinic it worked first time/ so I took it as a given it would work for me, was devastated when it didn't. Just such a rough journey, mentally and physically!

@Tiger86 I will be testing Sunday, which will be 6dp6dt lol, I also stand no chance waiting lol. I defo think that's a true positive, I cannot see that trigger would still be in your system 2 weeks later.... congratulations 🎉

@Ivf1sttime I tested from day 4 everyday last time lol, will be better this time (or I plan to be as I have work every day before), and will be testing on day 6 😂 sending you loads and loads of baby dust, and hoping you continue the positive vibe going on :)

@want2bemum glad you are doing half ok, and really pleased you are optimistic.... that's where I really struggled was getting back on track after the BFN :( so when I came off the drugs I had a withdrawal bleed, then I was told I had to have a natural bleed before I could start again, and as I was having FET my meds started 21 days after that. My transfer is exactly 15 weeks from my last... I hope that gives you a rough idea on timeframes... I think that pretty standard for all clinics

Looking for some help from fellow bournhall clients..... it's transfer day, how likely am I to get a call to update me on how the thaw went? I am debating calling in first thing this morning, although transfer isn't until 2.30.... any advise from previous experience? X

Ivf1sttime · 29/11/2021 08:10

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 that's exactly the way I would be too but I promised my husband I'd wait till day 14 and he was like you won't last so I'm too stubborn to prove him right 😂😂 so I'm gonna wait it's only 9 more days haha xx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 29/11/2021 08:12

@Ivf1sttime lol, you are stronger than me lol 😂

Ivf1sttime · 29/11/2021 08:14

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 it's defo not gonna be easy 😂😂

firefly37 · 29/11/2021 08:19

@Tiger86 ... thats a good line! Everything crossed for you!
@ExhaustedPigeon1988 ... I had a frozen transfer with Bourn Hall in 2018. I had to call them! My transfer was around 1pm and I remember panicking walking about town waiting to hear! Just call embryology ... I remember them being really friendly and they are used to us crazy mummas calling!
@want2bemum .. May I ask the issues with your DP sperm? My partner also had issues but hes been taking supplements and they are all fixed amazingly! Now completely normal!

I am feeling a bit rubbish today as had my flights booked for later today :( ... hoping my chat with doctor goes well tomorrow and we can start a long protocol soon.

LivingonaPrayerandGin · 29/11/2021 09:18

Morning! Fingers crossed that line sticks @Tiger86!! Good luck today @ExhaustedPigeon1988 🤞
Sorry to those not getting the news they'd hoped. We had our 3rd scan this morning and they're thinking its likely EC Weds but will confirm with the consultant it may be Thurs, meaning I'd be out of drugs and have to go back to get some this evening. So limbo again and disheartened we're clearly not passing with flying colours...

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 29/11/2021 19:09

Thank you to all of you for your thoughts today. @LivingonaPrayerandGin @firefly37 I have survived :) was alittle uncomfortable as he couldn't get the catheter through first time, but great news on embryos. They both froze at 3BB, but after thawing and allowing to recover ended being 3ab and 4bb, so feeling hopeful :) have had mild period pains since, although I'm sure they will settle by tomorrow. hope everyone is doing well. Signing out for a couple of days. Will be back soon to check in with you all... sending positive vibes to each and everyone of you x

firefly37 · 29/11/2021 19:20

@ExhaustedPigeon1988.. Yay congrats!! My little bourn hall boy was a beautiful 4bb and my little Czech girl was a perfect 4aa Grin... I've got a good feeling for you!!! X

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 29/11/2021 19:30

Thank you @firefly37 I feel strangely calm, and randomly positive, which is very unlike me lol x

firefly37 · 29/11/2021 19:35

@ExhaustedPigeon1988... Ur Christmas miracle.. Everything crossed that I can cross xx
I'm super worried about my doctors call tomm... I still think she will push about donor eggs which we have decided we won't do... I may get angry if she does Angry I'm on a Facebook group where some of the ladies sadly have a much lower amh than me... I must have a teeny little chance Confused xx

BlueSilver23 · 29/11/2021 20:42

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 sending lots of good thoughts your way! Flowers

IVFfirsttimer · 29/11/2021 20:45

Hi All, just been reading the thread. I had 10 eggs collected, 6 fertilised and then had a phone all to say none were developing as expected at day 3. On day 5 had a poor blastocyst transferred plus another embryo that hadn’t reached blastocyst stage. None of the rest were suitable for freezing. I’m now 3 days away from official test date and had a real wobble today. Convinced myself any symptoms I’ve been having had stopped. Some definitely have - boobs are no longer sore for example. Bought a test to put me out of my misery but haven’t taken it. Not sure whether to do it or wait. This bit is hard.

BlueSilver23 · 29/11/2021 20:47

@firefly37 I’d just be firm with the doctor and thank her for advice and that you understand that donor eggs may be the best option medically but that you have already considered it carefully and feel continuing to try with your own eggs is the best thing for you and can we discuss the best options around this.

BlueSilver23 · 29/11/2021 20:54

@IVFfirsttimer Im sorry you’re going through this, I haven’t been in position of 2ww and I’m sure there are others on here who can emphasize better but I’d try and keep positive as even the lowest grade embryos have been successful for people! Symptom spotting is such a hit and miss thing it seems! Only you can make the decision whether or not to test early and I’m sure you have a gut feeling on what to do for the best. I’d follow what feels right for you. There is some old saying that says things always seem better in the morning so perhaps take tonight to think on it a bit more after a bit of a bad day? Make a decision on whether to test with a bit of clearer head?

Ivf1sttime · 30/11/2021 06:04

Hi everyone I'm 6dp5dt and I've just woke up from the worst dream ever. In my dream I got my AF and was just sobbing now I feel like it's way come 😭😭 went straight to bathroom when I woke up but now in my gut I'm like it's a sign!! I sound like a crazy person but it felt so horrible and real my dream.

Tiger86 · 30/11/2021 08:05

@ivf1sttime I think vivid dreams can be a early pregnancy sign so you never know obviously not nice to dream what you did but just your mind going into overdrive x

Tiger86 · 30/11/2021 08:07

@ivffirsttimer if you have managed to wait this long I think waiting until your otd would be a good thing. Try not to think too much about symptoms. With my son I didn't have many symptoms at all and paranoid the whole first 12 weeks that something was wrong it is only natural to worry. Really hoping for a positive for you x

Ivf1sttime · 30/11/2021 08:07

@Tiger86 it was so horrible. This part is killing me waiting for test day. Xx

Ivf1sttime · 30/11/2021 08:14

@Tiger86 yeah I'm waiting for my OTD seems forever away but I'll get there. Yeah the symptoms are hard cos half the symptoms I have can be from all the different medications and progesterone it's so hard. Only another 8 more sleeps before test 😭
