I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure Sad

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

good luck for the next stage @Tiger86

BlueSilver23 · 17/11/2021 14:26

@want2bemum
Thanks everyone for the reassurance about EC, just got to get through these next few days of stims as it seems the drugs very much do not agree with me! Currently itching like mad all over from the cetrotide Sad

@PositiveeVibes @Tiger86 Those sound like good numbers to me! lots of luck for the next stages

BlueSilver23 · 17/11/2021 14:28

@LARBB0707

Hope EC today went well!

Shaj123 · 17/11/2021 15:43

That happened to me @BlueSilver23, I realised I didnt take it out 30 minutes out of the fridge before using it.

LARBB0707 · 17/11/2021 16:23

@BlueSilver23 4 eggs collected which is quite worrying but I did only have 7 follicles. The procedure was absolutely fine I was so nervous the worst part for me was having the cannula put in and the walk to the theatre. I arrived at the hospital at 7.30 was taken to the ward, a nurse came and talked me through and I went down at 8.50am. I don’t remember a thing I came round about 9.50 and had small cramps. I was so worked up about the procedure but it really was nothing to worry about. Good Luck for this week Xx

PositiveeVibes · 17/11/2021 16:45

@LARBB0707 aww fingers crossed those 4 make it! Yep I hated the cannula that was worst part for me! They put it in a right awkward place!! Get plenty of rest and drink lots x

Lpagp · 17/11/2021 19:26

Hi,

What is everyone experience of trigger shots? How long does it take for them to be out of your system. I had 10,000 units 14 days ago and got a bfp today. Could this be my trigger still?
Thanks

LivingonaPrayerandGin · 18/11/2021 07:12

@ChocolateinBrugges and @Fingerscrossedfor2021HK thank you!

Sorry I asked to join and then fell off 🤣 our house sale FINALLY went through this week so been distracted (for the first time! 😅)

How's everyone's weeks been? I'm due to start stimms tonight and only just sat down to watch the patient video on how to administer...and it's dawned on me I only have Meriofert vials of 75u - the nurse told me to take 225u but said that I'd need two vials...I think I should have 125u and 75u delivered 😰 of course its now very last minute I wouldn't get anymore delivered!! Anyone take 3 vials x 75u??

BlueSilver23 · 18/11/2021 08:30

@LARBB0707

All you need is one 1 good one! Keeping all my fingers crossed that those are fantastic eggs Smile

BlueSilver23 · 18/11/2021 08:32

Disaster with cetrotide this morning, injection site pouring of blood after I pulled it out, ran down my legs, ruined all my clothes and soaked through an entire tissue paper

Really hoping I haven't done anything awful with it

Tiger86 · 18/11/2021 09:34

@BlueSilver23 oh no doesn't sound nice sorry don't think I had this injection so can't really shed any light but hope you are ok. Did it twist or something when inside?

Update on my eggs I have 8 that fertilised as normal, 2 possible ones they aren't sure what they are going to do yet and 2 that didn't fertilise at all so I'm pleased with that result this morning that we have something to move forward with x

Tiger86 · 18/11/2021 09:35

@want2bemum hope you are doing ok this morning how is the bleeding today? X

KatRee · 18/11/2021 10:26

@Tiger86 That's a good day 1 update, hope they continue to progress well

@BlueSilver23 oh no, that sounds nasty! Did you maybe get a bit too close to the bit directly below the belly button rather than off to the side? The nurse at my clinic has told me that's the only big vein in the area

@LivingonaPrayerandGin congrats on the house sale!

I've only ever mixed 2 vials myself, but pretty sure I've seen on videos that you can do up to 4. I'm sure 3X 75 will be fine, although would be slightly less fiddly if you had some 150s as well and only needed 2 vials

@Lpagp not 100% sure, but think 14 days after trigger you should be safe, so tentative congratulations

@LARBB0707 Glad EC went well and hope you've had good news on the 4 eggs this morning.

@PositiveeVibes I think 9 is a great number- tbh, there always seems to be a big drop off when people have lots and lots of follicles or lots collected. But should mean you are left with only the better ones- hope they make good progress for you

@want2bemum I'm sorry you got a negative test this time. I hope you are able to take some time to look after yourself - hopefully if you go again you will have a better result knowing now about the infection that was affecting the sperm. When things don't go as hoped the best we can hope for is an identifiable reason that can be treated x

KatRee · 18/11/2021 10:33

@Reefy , I'm sorry, I've just seen your news as well. It can be such a heartbreaking process. I hope you're doing ok x

PositiveeVibes · 18/11/2021 10:45

@BlueSilver23 sorry not had that before but hope you’re okay!

@Tiger86 that is great news!!!

@KatRee I am grateful for those 9 and I told myself I wouldn’t get bothered by numbers, but that’s clearly harder said than done! How you feeling?

@want2bemum @Reefy hope you’re both okay!

Started my cyclogest pessaries this morning.. by far the worst part!!!

Tiger86 · 18/11/2021 11:02

@Reefy sorry it hasn't worked out. This process is really difficult each stage you get your hopes up a little more but I'm trying to be realistic too. Hope you can take some time for yourself.

@PositiveVibes I think 9 is a really good number. I think 20 eggs is a high number to collect and it would be unlikely to get so many mature eggs in one go probably but it must be hard to see the numbers drop too. I really hope your 9 all do well. I feel we are both at the same stage together and hope our little eggs go on to have success 🤞

Shaj123 · 18/11/2021 11:04

@Tiger86, great number of eggs to be fertilised,

@PositiveeVibes, yes so glad I'm not on them anymore, a bit annoying with the discharge afterwards.

PositiveeVibes · 18/11/2021 11:05

@Tiger86 yes that’s what I have to remember that the best ones are still going! Was just hard to see the massive drop.. but still so grateful for those 9! Will get another update tomorrow! Yes it is nice to have someone at the same point as me! Let’s hope we get our successes! 🤞 x

want2bemum · 18/11/2021 12:15

@KatRee @Tiger86 and @PositiveeVibes Thanks for the kind words. Still bleeding lightly unfortunately so even though they've told me to test again tomorrow, I know I am out. It is good that we can pinpoint something wrong (infection) but we have had no further updates yet about the details or if anything can be done.

Feeling a bit blah today tbh and like it's only been one cycle so I don't know how I will feel after the next one or any more we might have.

We've already been talking about sperm donation which we're really struggling to get our heads around :(

@Reefy So sorry to hear your news as well and I hope you are OK xx

Reefy · 18/11/2021 12:24

@PositiveeVibes @Tiger86 @KatRee thank you. I'm doing ok. It's been hard, I feel like this whole cycle has been tougher then the last (first) one. I'm taking each day as it comes & if I wanna cry I do!
I'm going away on Monday with the family for a few days so it will do me good. I hope all of you are doing ok with the waiting for news about embryos!

LivingonaPrayerandGin · 18/11/2021 13:35

@BlueSilver23 that sounds awful! Hope you're OK, I'm getting nervous about starting this evening!!

@KatRee thank you! I rang the clinic and they said 3 vials is fine thank god, trust me to leave it till the last minute!

I've tried to read all your posts and work out who is where in the cycles but can't keep up! Have we any BFPs yet? Where's everyone at in their journeys? Sorry to hear @Reefy and @want2bemum things haven't gone well for you both, hope you're both OK x

Gensola · 18/11/2021 14:50

@Reefy i think I must have missed your update, so sorry 😞 xx

PositiveeVibes · 18/11/2021 14:55

@want2bemum aww so sorry to hear that! It doesn’t make it any easier but at least you have an idea why!

@Reefy aww so sorry! I have to say I have found it way way harder second time around I am absolutely drained! Enjoy your few days away much needed!

@LivingonaPrayerandGin it’s very hard to keep up! I’m currently day 2 past EC transfer should be Sunday if all goes well! How are you doing?

BlueSilver23 · 18/11/2021 16:15

@Reefy
Sorry to hear that, hope the few days away helps a little to recharge after everything and perhaps try again. As I keep hearing on here, its a numbers game
@want2bemum
Hope youre doing ok with everything and start feeling a little better, but as you say only cycle in so lots of time for tweaking and different options.

Haven't got many words of wisdom for you both as its a bit crap all round for everyone on this journey! Just lots of positive thoughts for everyone and don't give up hope Smile

BlueSilver23 · 18/11/2021 16:20

As for me, another scan today is only showing a possible/likely 8 viable follicles out of 30 on the previous scan so feeling a bit deflated, still got a couple of days to go but think thats probably it if I'm lucky. Waiting to hear from doctor if I need to up stims for these last couple of days after these results

And I now have a swollen and hugely bruised and sore tummy after this mornings disaster with my cetrotide.... just to add to my A&E trip and allergic reaction to one of the stim drugs. Feeling both deflated at the low number of follicles and bloated and generally all round fed up with the whole thing. How those of you on longer protocols or 3-4 goes have coped I don't know. Hats off to you
