I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure Sad

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

Hello @LivingonaPrayerandGin and best wishes for your cycle

@ChocolateinBrugges - that's great that they managed to find so many 🤞for good news today

@want2bemum- that's annoying about the infection. How have they found that now? Do they routinely test for these things? I would think the one in you has a good chance though seeing as it did manage to get fertilised and was growing quickly before they transferred it 🤞

Hope EC goes well today and involves nice biscuits afterwards @PositiveeVibes

@Gensola Sounds like you've got a good plan for today 🤞crossed everything goes smoothly

I am down to one embryo from this cycle and will find out tomorrow whether it has made it to blastocyst and can be put back. I'm sat here willing it to keep going - it's so hard when everything is so out of our control isn't it?

want2bemum · 16/11/2021 08:42

@Gensola Good luck for you too and hopefully those little frosties will be fine xx

@Reefy Haha I love cheerios. The good side of it is that if it was an infection, it can hopefully be treated and we might do better next time. Hope things are going OK with you.

want2bemum · 16/11/2021 08:45

@KatRee Thank you. No it wasn't a routine test - we had suspicions before we started but the basic tests came back clear. We had to wait for more in depth testing so decided to go ahead anyway.

Everything crossed for your embryo xx

I think I've got some period cramping today... no blood yet but not a good sign! :(

Gensola · 16/11/2021 08:54

@want2bemum could be a very good sign, could be implantation 🤞
@KatRee willing your embryo on - it only takes one 💕
I am nervous as hell, need to calm down!!

want2bemum · 16/11/2021 09:10

@Gensola Aw thanks for the optimism :) I'm not so sure, I'm 13 days past egg collection so I think it would be late for implantation, but will see tomorrow

Shaj123 · 16/11/2021 09:17

Good luck @want2bemum, I hope its a positive test.

@KatRee and I hope the embryo makes it to Blastocyst stage tomorrow, so hard when you're relying on that one embryo to make it.

Good luck @PositiveeVibes on your egg collection today!

And good luck @Gensola on your transfer today!

Ivfnewbie1 · 16/11/2021 09:29

Good luck on all tests transfers and EC this week lovelies 😊
I am 13dp5dt today, test day…faint line 😬😬

Shaj123 · 16/11/2021 09:50

Eeeel @Ivfnewbie1, good luck with test today! But that looks like a great line

Gensola · 16/11/2021 12:30

@Ivfnewbie1 that isn’t faint that’s a BFP!!!! Congratulations!

Transfer done and dusted - two embryos back in, they said lining was perfect and much thicker than last time. OTD is the 27th Nov, feels like it’s a million years away!

Shaj123 · 16/11/2021 13:25

Glad it went well @Gensola, lots of baby dust your way x

ChocolateinBrugges · 16/11/2021 18:10

@KatRee sending you so much baby dust for your embryo!

@PositiveeVibes I hope your egg collection went well today 🤞

@want2bemum Wishing you so much luck for a positive test ❤️

@Gensola Glad your transfer went well today! Sending lots of luck your way

@Ivfnewbie1 Congratulations! Amazing news

So for us out of the 8 eggs collected, 5 fertilised which is better than we were expecting but there is still a very long road ahead so I don’t want to get my hopes up. I don’t want to be negative but I also don’t want to come crashing down if this fails. I’ve got to say though the egg collection was the most chilled I’ve felt in years, I loved it, lol, so spaced out, kinda wish I could be as spaced out as that for the rest of the cycle!!!

ChocolateinBrugges · 16/11/2021 18:17

Oh and I liked the biscuits too, we haven’t been to a hotel since before covid, just done self-catering so it’s the first time I’ve enjoyed free niceties. It boosted me up 😂

Ivfnewbie1 · 16/11/2021 18:33

@ChocolateinBrugges amazing news! 5 fertilised eggs is brilliant! Must say I agree with you, EC was a very chilled experience 😂 hopefully next few days your not feeling too sore following collection 😬. I’m testing again in the morning just to check it’s real! Scan booked 01/12 hoping if all that goes well I can let myself get excited, until then another long 2ww for me 😞🤞🏻

want2bemum · 16/11/2021 18:34

@Ivfnewbie1 OMG, congratulations!!! That's amazing. Hope you have a very healthy + happy pregnancy :) :) :)

@ChocolateinBrugges So glad the EC went well, the sedative is great isn't it, I loved it too, I felt like I'd had a whole night's sleep when I woke up! And 5 out of 8 is an amazing fertilisation rate - but I know what you mean about getting hopes up. Fingers crossed for you xx

Ivfnewbie1 · 16/11/2021 18:37

@want2bemum thank you!! Positive vibes for you and test day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🥰 x

KatRee · 16/11/2021 20:23

Congratulations @Ivfnewbie1 - that looks like a very clear line

@Gensola Glad transfer went well and they are both now on board- sending good vibes your way!

@ChocolateinBrugges Very happy you got five fertilised- hope they do well over the next few days

LARBB0707 · 16/11/2021 21:32

Hi Could I join this thread, I am 33 with low Amh of 7 this is our first IVF cycle. I have been on 450 bemfola for the passed 11 days, triggered yesterday EC tomorrow. My last scan we had 7 follicles 1 at 20mm 2 at 17mm 3 at 16mm and 1 around 13mm. I’m so nervous for my EC tomorrow as I have to go in alone my partner is dropping me off doing his part then he has to leave. Just worried I won’t get any good eggs due to my low Amh and 5 previous miscarriages xx

KatRee · 16/11/2021 21:46

Hi @LARBB0707
It sounds like you have a good number of follicles all at a good size for EC, so you have a very good chance of getting some good eggs. As I understand it AMH is linked to quantity, but quality is more connected to age, and I'm sure the staff at the clinic will have told you you're very young in ivf terms!
Don't worry about the procedure itself, as you can see, we all quite enjoyed our ECs on this thread!

KatRee · 16/11/2021 21:48

Also, very sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages, that must have been so hard. I hope your cycles goes well x

BlueSilver23 · 16/11/2021 21:48

Hello everyone,

I can see lots of talk about collection on here and I have my first egg collection at the end of this week all being well! I have no idea what to expect and I am worrying a bit about it, what actually happens? Are you in a gown and a theatre? are there pessaries involved? is it painful? Slightly concerned abut the pain factor as I've never been pregnant/had a coil so nothings been 'up there' past the cervix ever Confused. Any advice on what to expect from the more experienced of you all? Smile

BlueSilver23 · 16/11/2021 21:49

Best of luck to everyone with upcoming ECs!

PositiveeVibes · 16/11/2021 21:59

Thank you for all the well wishes for EC today! 20 eggs collected! Long road ahead it’s what we started with last time and ended up being poor quality.. so we shall see what happens!

@KatRee thank you the biscuits were lovely! Good luck with your little embryo!

@Gensola glad your transfer went well!

@ChocolateinBrugges that’s really good! It’s such a weird feeling isn’t it! I feel totally lost now not doing injections etc. Ha ha!

@Ivfnewbie1 congratulations!

LARBB0707 · 16/11/2021 22:06

@KatRee
Thank you for your reply and reassurance. My biggest worry is the egg quality as I feel this is what may have caused our miscarriages.

@BlueSilver23 I have my egg collection tomorrow morning it will be my first time also so I will update you.
xxxxx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 16/11/2021 22:26

@BlueSilver23 yes it's in a theatre, with scrubs and everything, but to be honest it doesn't really feel much different to a scan room, same chair things rather than a couch/bed. It's all over very quickly, and the recovery isn't as bad as expected. Just try to take each day at a time, you will soon be at the tww which is the worst part of the whole process.

Love hearing everyone's updates, hoping you are all staying strong and doing well. @TheSnufflet how are things with you? X

want2bemum · 17/11/2021 07:40

Welcome to @LARBB0707 and @BlueSilver23 :)

I've taken my test but am feeling no less in the dark about whether or not I'm pregnant.

Test was negative, but I had a small amount of bleeding - bright red spotting last night and now pink/brown this morning.

I am simply clueless about whether this is implantation bleeding or the start of my period which is lookng different to usual because of the progesterone I'm still taking. My periods have been very light the past few months anyway, so it could well be that, but I can't be sure, so I have to assume I could still be pregnant.

I guess I won't know for sure for another few days Confused

Feeling pretty low today and glad that I have the day off work :(
