@Sungirl11 that's great news. What protocol are you on? What medication do you start tonight?

Sungirl11 · 07/04/2021 12:58

@6543336787gesgvjhg so i was planed for a short protocol but went on the 2nd of March (day2 cycle) and I was everywhere! So was put on Long protocol and i had my Prostap injection on day 21, and first scan today (18 days after). I start today with Pergoveris injection and GonalF 450. Next scan on Monday Smile

RedFaerieBoots · 07/04/2021 15:31

So bleeding was cyclogest related but still got a BFN. So will have more bleeding soon apparently.

Feeling a little numb to be honest.

@Donimo - so sorry to hear that. Hope you are looking after yourself.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 16:01

@RedFaerieBoots so so sorry to hear this!! 😟😟 is that what they said then it can cause bleeding? I had a tiny bit of blood when I wiped this morning but nothing since!

beachbum85 · 07/04/2021 16:06

Oh @RedFaerieBoots I'm really sorry to hear that :(
I'm sending you a big hug, and I really hope things go better next time round - take some time for yourself to process it all, it's a lot to take in x

RedFaerieBoots · 07/04/2021 16:09

Yeah. It says in the med info one of the side effects is bleeding. Internet says it can irritate cervix. I genuinely think it irritated mines. Have said for their review I'd rather not use it again. It was fine for the first week but post transfer I felt uncomfortable sitting (like I had a wee tube in there), the bleeding, and I had a sore of weird pulsing sensation inside on one side of vaginal walls.

I'd rather stab myself with progesterone injections than have the pessaries again.

I don't blame the pessaries for the BFN but the bleeding really really messed my head up. I started feeling like my body was gaslighting me Confused

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 16:14

@RedFaerieBoots I know what you mean. I really don't get these tablets I would prefer doing injections still then the side effects they can give you.

It's such a rollercoaster of emotions isn't it. It's hard to stay off the internet. I was Googling bloating last night as it hurt so much and it's like it could be your period, because you did IVF or pregnancy... so so tough.

Thinking of you and your partner 😢😢 xx

And I was doing so well until the bleeding Sad

Freya2015 · 07/04/2021 17:57

@beachbum85 i feel a bit better asthma has badly flarred up my boobs are killing today they feel so tender and testing on monday fingers crossed

Lclarke111 · 07/04/2021 18:30

@RedFaerieBoots so sorry to hear you have been going through all that, I will be on the injections when we start for transfers, they really do need to prepare anyone on the pessaries for the side effects as that's worries you don't want on top of the tww x

Narwhal88 · 07/04/2021 18:52

@Donimo so sorry to hear this. Really hope your next cycle is more successful for you. ❤️

@RedFaerieBoots so sorry about your bleeding and Bfn. I knew cyclogest can irritate but didn't know it could cause bleeding. I've been alternating between vaginal and rectal to try and give it a break inbetween! I'm also on progesterone injections as well and they are easier though I have had a fair bit of bruising.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 19:11

@Narwhal88 ohhh didn't realise you could get progesterone as injections as well. I've done the same mixing between the two. The nurse did suggest this to me as well. When are you testing again? I know we are close!

OP posts:
Narwhal88 · 07/04/2021 19:52

@6543336787gesgvjhg yeah the injections have just been approved by the nhs apparently, they are called Lubion. I'm testing this weekend, probably Saturday but I'm so scared. How about you?
Been getting a fair amount of what feels like period cramps starting the last couple of days and my normal AF due date is Saturday as well so who knows.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 20:18

@Narwhal88 see my period would be due today/tomorrow and I'm the same I feel slight cramps, very snappy, I am bloated and tired though which I don't usually get. I'm trying not to think too much into it though 😖😟😖😟

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 20:19

@Narwhal88 I'm meant to test Monday but will test Sunday because back in the office from working from home for 7 months so won't be the test timing 😢

Hey sorry been a busy few days with everything so playing at catch up.
nothing really to report from me yet, although a few of you are better than me, both my and DH are POAS addicts so I’ve been doing a test every morning this week as if they are negative every time we can manage our expectations. It’s still super early for a d3 transfer anyway as our official date is Sunday but I find it more of a safety blanket if we know each day (strange but everyone is different I guess). Won’t lie though we don’t half spend a small fortune on tests, thank goodness for Prime.

I don’t usually get cramps for AF but the effects of cyclogest is something else! I can’t stand them and can’t believe people get these cramps every month, I didn’t realise I was lucky.

@Donimo so sorry it didn’t work out for you this time x
@RedFaerieBoots so sorry for your bfn. The cyclogest info was interesting, the side effects are not the best on it at all x

Hope everyone is doing ok x

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 21:43

@Itstime1 I think I'm scared to take a test at the minute as really don't want to see a negative. Well the blood I saw when I wiped earlier hasn't turned into anything else just yet so trying to feel positive again. Think I'll just test one day early but I understand why you are testing and yes it all adds up. I'll buy the pink first response ones and then maybe a clear blue one x

So sorry to scan through the thread and see a flurry of bad news. To those who have had bfn's - please take the time and steps you need to look after yourself. @Donimo - really sorry to read your update - I hope that whatever you decide next has a better outcome eventually. For those still waiting and working through the stages - keep holding on!

Re progesterone injections - this fresh cycle I've had the joy of both 2 x cyclogest each evening and a Lubion injection each morning as I bled before testing day on the last frozen and shortly after test day on the first frozen. So far, no bleeding but am very nervous about the scan as worry little embryo is just sat there (esp given lack of symptoms) and also about the idea of coming off them as I've convinced myself they are keeping it going and my body won't take over if it's still going! They are easy injections with a fine needle (not the progesterone in oil you read about) and my clinic has said if ok at scan I'll stay on them till 8 weeks. That said early on when I started on all the progesterone I definitely felt the effects and had a very upset stomach after about a week (possibly around the same time as implantation?)

beachbum85 · 08/04/2021 10:48

I think I'm out... I had a little bit of bleeding last night, and now I'm spotting as I usually do before my period. No cramps and no sore boobs either so I don't know what to think but I'm not feeling positive at all :( Less than 1 day till we find out, at least!

6543336787gesgvjhg · 08/04/2021 11:00

@beachbum85 try and stay positive and stay off google! I had a down day yesterday but trying to bounce back today, I know it's hard. I keep feeling I'm coming on but just try and wait it out. I know it's so so hard 😭😭
