I was going to order some FRERs just now to keep in the house for test day (which will be the end of the month hopefully) but I think I'm going to avoid it and instead order nearer the time. Going to trrry hold off until test day even though I have always known I will never manage

When do most people usually test?

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/04/2021 14:21

@willithappen what stage are you at? Good luck with everything. Yes best to wait or test on the test day. I've only ever been late like once or twice but knew period was coming so never really tested before maybe once or twice. This is obviously different so I will buy some probably Friday to come Saturday in time for first thing Sunday. I'm scared of the result though like @beachbum85 I'd rather be waiting to know it's a negative if that makes sense x

@willithappen just like @6543336787gesgvjhg I've never really had a reason to test except maybe twice in the whole time we've been TTC, so I'm not really into early testing or anything like that. My clinic has asked me to test 10dp5dt, and I've taken the day off as an incentive to wait for that day so I have some to process it, no matter what happens. Now that I beat temptation yd, I know I can make it to Fri :)
But I'd suggest waiting to get the FRERs - knowing they're sitting there waiting to be used does not help, in my case at least!

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/04/2021 14:46

@willithappen @beachbum85 see my clinic said to test 13 days after embryo transfer and I had 5 day transfer! Why do they make us wait so long. I won't feel too bad testing one day early then if you've been told to test 10 days past transfer 😁😁

The tests you're talking about they are the pink early response ones aren't they?

OP posts:
beachbum85 · 06/04/2021 14:51

No, sorry, it's 12dp5dt!! That was my wishful thinking... Although I know others who have been told to test at 10dp5dt!
Yes, exactly, the pink early response ones. My clinic gave me a ClearBlue with blue lines, but I've read that pink lines are more reliable. TBH I have no idea but I just want to eliminate all doubts from my mind when the time comes :)

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/04/2021 15:28

@beachbum85 haha I thought that was quite early. I now feel like I've got period cramps 😟 what will be will be 😔😟

@6543336787gesgvjhg
I had egg retrieval back in February so away to start frozen procedure now - well I have started it, day 4 of progynova today and lining scan on the 14th (hopefully transfer on the 21st!)

Bells3032 · 06/04/2021 16:42

hi all. update after our retrieval yesterday. 6 collected, 5 matured and 4 fertilised. which is the exact same pattern as last time with one less egg.

I can't help but feel a little disappointed. We have 3 PGS tested embryos in the freezer from the last cycle and we wanted to get plenty more for a backup for a second child. I am 32 and my AMH is 6.5pmol. No idea why so low - i have zero risk factors for it and by all tests would be able to get pregnant easily with another partner (my dh has severe MFI due to cancer).

All my family have a habit of getting pregnant no issues and all get pregnant first time...their husbands just have to look at them and they're pregnant.

I know things are better than we dreaded (my DH's first SA two years ago was 10 immobile sperm and we are now up to about 1million per ml) but still can't help but feel a tad disappointed at how low my egg numbers are :'-(.

Looks like cycle 3 will deff be on the cards

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/04/2021 16:59

@willithappen that's good news that you've started. I've wondered how frozen transfers work as if this doesn't work then that's what I'll be doing in a month or so. Do you have injections for so long then go for the transfer? Are you NHS? We would have to pay if this one does work but have 5 in the freezer. Do they "defrost" all 5 and then they all are no good or just one? Any idea?

@Bells3032 I hear you! I felt disappointed when we had our results as before we started I have 30 follicles apparently and then the month we start it's now 11 seemed unfair. All I would say is think positive at least you have some available xx

@6543336787gesgvjhg I feel like I have the beginnings of period cramps as well but I know this can be both a good or bad thing 😂 are you with Care by any chance as my otd is also 13 days after transfer.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/04/2021 17:52

@Narwhal88 mine is Nuture Fertility in Nottingham and they sent like a theatre instruction pack and it said in 13 days and it was highlighted.

I've since become super bloated and again this is a sign of both. Mentioned it to hubby and he's like what will be but it's still disappointing isn't it. Do these tablets/ "pussy" pills as my husband calls them delay period anyway. Who knows. Back to the waiting game.....

How you getting on?

It's interesting to see the difference in test day variations! My clinic have asked me to test on the 14th which would be 9dp5dt and I thought that was a long time! Was thinking about testing a day or two early but I won't now I've seen some test days at 14dpt!

willithappen · 06/04/2021 18:10

I think my clinic is test 14 days after 5day transfer so a good while!

beachbum85 · 06/04/2021 18:23

@Bells3032 I'm very sorry you didn't get the numbers you hoped for! If you get another couple of embryos this round and have 3 tested ones in the freezer, that's not too bad at all so I hope these 4 stay strong. It is really disappointing and stressful to have low AMH (mine was 5.8 at 34) and it's all a numbers game... we had 8 fertilized but none to freeze, and we're unexplained so no reason for that either. Wishing for good news for you over the next few days.

@6543336787gesgvjhg and @Narwhal88 everything seems to be a symptom of both... so frustrating this tww!

@Bethpalmer20 wow 9dp5dt is nice and early! Glad for you that you won't need to wait too long :) earliest I've heard is 10dp5dt, but I've seen some women on here test even 6dp5dt and get a clear result, so who knows?!

Ganiyatou · 07/04/2021 07:43

@TTCbabyH congratulations wowww so happy for you.

All my symptoms has gone since day 9 post transfer but unfortunately got BFN yesterday. need to do blood test to confirm. All the best for the journey and keep everything crossed for others.

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 08:22

@Ganiyatou sorry to hear about your BFN. I saw blood when I wiped today. I feel like I'm out very down today. Going to be long day 😟

Hi everyone!
Day1 for me! Off to my scan, see what we get told...

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 08:44

@Sungirl11 good luck, let us know how it goes x

ForeverHopeful17 · 07/04/2021 09:36

Thank you @Bethpalmer20 and I agree, I would do it a million times over if it meant I get to hold my baby in my arms

@beachbum85 thank you! Out of 18 eggs only 7 fertilised which left me feeling extremely down but the end result was a complete miracle and so unexpected. Sorry TMI but the Crinone has been giving me constant thrush, it is so uncomfortable. I switched to cyclogest this morning which so far seems to be so much better for me.

@Ganiyatou and @Hazza2021 I'm so sorry you haven't got the results you wanted. I'm wishing you both the best of luck in your next cycles

@Sungirl11 good luck with your scan today, I hope it's a positive outcome

beachbum85 · 07/04/2021 09:54

I'm so sorry that it didn't work out this time @Ganiyatou :( Best of luck for your next cycle x

@6543336787gesgvjhg really sorry to hear you're bleeding! You're not out yet though if it's not fresh blood and not heavy... could it be implantation bleeding? I've never experienced it myself but I know that light bleeding is very common in early pregnancy. Big hug x

@Sungirl11 good luck with your scan :)

@ForeverHopeful17 ah that's not nice at all! Glad Cyclogest is better - my nurse suggested to use it rectally and I find it much better.
it must have been such a wonderful surprise in the end after the fertilization rate! Really goes to show that it's all about quality :) very happy for you!

Thinking of you @Donimo x

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 09:59

@beachbum85 thank you. It was there when I wiped first thing and now gone. So confusing isn't it. My mood has completed changed since though and feel really negative. Oh what a journey this is! 😢

OP posts:
beachbum85 · 07/04/2021 10:05

It is such a tough journey... and it seems to be getting harder as the days pass! Don't give up yet!

@RedFaerieBoots thinking of you too x

Sungirl11 · 07/04/2021 10:17

Hey! Thank you girls! I'm very happy atm! My layer is 1.9mm and I have 8 & 10 follicles between 2-4mm (so 18 total). The scan looked perfect! Just waiting for bloods and if that is all good we start this evening Smile
(Starting to feel it's real)

Donimo · 07/04/2021 10:21

So my embryo hasn't made it. So I have nothing to transfer. Just trying to process it all at the moment. But had a mad evening and morning which has distracted me due to my 92 year old neighbour having 2 falls. We had to break in to get her to hospital. And I've now gained a foster dog for awhile.

Hope everyone else gets the results they are so wishing for. Thinking of you all x x

6543336787gesgvjhg · 07/04/2021 11:27

@Donimo so sorry to hear this 😟 thinking of you both! Time for some "me time" I think!

A dog isn't a bad distraction to be fair. Hope your neighbour is ok! Good job you were on hand to help xx
