Evening ladies, i hope you are well. For the 7 week scan do you need a full or empty bladder. Thank you x

Lou8319 · 09/09/2021 22:44

@PurpleUnicorn01 my 7 week scan was transvaginal, so didn’t matter about having a full bladder.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 10/09/2021 07:51

Thank you x

Lou8319 · 27/09/2021 08:20

Hope everyone’s doing well. Is it just me or is time flying?

Sungirl11 · 27/09/2021 12:01

Morning!
@Lou8319 i'm doing great! Getting big and fat. Time does fly... you must be on third trimester already right? Not long to go now 🥰

Lou8319 · 27/09/2021 15:59

@Sungirl11 yep week 30 already. I feel massive, and sleep is pretty uncomfortable. But I wouldn’t change it for the world!

I just consider myself extremely lucky, and am going to miss being pregnant. But can’t wait to meet my little one.

Sungirl11 · 27/09/2021 16:10

@Lou8319 i'm 25w and still going pretty well. I do feel the same way as you, can't wait but will miss my belly as I love it 🥰
And I feel super lucky too, to be pregnant, to be healthy and have such a fabulous pregnancy all this way. X

@Sungirl11 @Lou8319 good to hear you are both keeping well. I'll be 30 weeks next Wednesday. Time is flying! Have you got much for baby yet? We ordered the pram last week due 1st December and car seat coming in the post. We are thinking of ideas for the nursery. We've been given loads of clothes so haven't had to buy much for him yet! Xx

I got way too excited once we hit 20 weeks and write a list and went for it. We’ve got our travel system, bedside cot, papoose (husband was desperate for one!).
The nursery is decorated, and we’re just waiting on the cotbed and chest of drawers and baby monitor to turn up end of October.

I also couldn’t resist buying some clothes, but my mum and sisters are also buying, so I suspect we won’t need much more!

What we havent got is all the actual essentials like nappies and wipes and stuff like that!

Sungirl11 · 01/10/2021 09:57

@6543336787gesgvjhg lovely hearing from you too! I'm heading towards 26w 🥰 i'm a month behind you both.
We have everything... at 20w my brother gave us loads of stuff and clothes form my niece and grandma bought buggy, cot, nursing chair and bits and bobs!
We have almost everything! Just need to get like bath bubble and other little bits.
We are painting the room now and getting it ready to put all the furniture and deco.
How are you getting on with the nursery? X

6543336787gesgvjhg · 06/10/2021 09:22

@Sungirl11 @Lou8319 you two seem very organised and ready. We've currently having the living room hall and landing decorated. Once that's done we can start babies room, which is empty already so shouldn't take long.

I need to get nappies and stuff - thinking of Aldi nappies, I've heard good things!

We are going to order cot, drawers abs wardrobe once we've painted so hopefully in the next 3-4 weeks 😁 excited.

Just waiting at hospital for my 30 week check up. Feel so anxious about it for some reason x

@6543336787gesgvjhg i believe that is with the consultant again right?
I now only see my midwife, had a visit at 24w and next one at 28w where I need to have bloods done too.
But from now on it's just her, and i'm not seeing anyone else. I don't understand why it's different protocol in the same country 🙈

Lou8319 · 06/10/2021 17:27

My next consultant isn’t until week 36! It’s very random around the country.
Although my first consultant appointment was pretty pointless. Measurement and a couple of questions I’d already gone through with the midwife.

I’ve heard good things about Aldi nappies too. I’ve got a voucher for a free pack, but I might get some Flo and Fred ones too as I’ve read they’re pretty good. And maybe a pack of pampers so I can definitely know which ones are best.

Sungirl11 · 06/10/2021 18:12

@Lou8319 have you collected the free packs from Emma's diary and Bounty?
Bounty at Tesco's has a pack of 26 Fred&Flo nappies and Emma's (purple bag) at Boots has a pack of 22 Pampers. X

Lou8319 · 07/10/2021 08:37

I managed to get the first Emma’s diary and bounty bags from boots a few months ago. I nappies though. I think they vary what’s on them. It was a struggle getting them full stop, no where seemed to have any!
Funnily enough was going to try for the 2nd Emma’s diary one today.

Sungirl11 · 07/10/2021 11:05

@Lou8319 ask for all of them! They give you all three at one at boots and they are totally worth it.
The Bounty one download the app again and sign in with a different email and get it from Tesco's. X

Lou8319 · 07/10/2021 14:52

Just picked up my purple Emma’s diary bag and there’s pampers! Wahoo.

Lou8319 · 09/11/2021 11:00

How is everyone doing in these last few weeks?!?!

Can’t believe how quickly it’s gone.

Sungirl11 · 10/11/2021 03:45

@Lou8319 hi!!! How are you doing??
31w for me and still doing ok! Starting to feel heavy but not too bad yet and all going perfectly fine 🥰

Lou8319 · 10/11/2021 12:18

Week 36 for me. Walking more than about 5 minutes is fun now, and sleeping has got a bit trickier, but all good. I’ve had a super easy pregnancy so far, which I find fairly ironic because of the lack of ease getting here!

Finished work last Friday, which is weird, but just getting the last bits together.

Got a consultant appointment today, just to double check everything I guess, but have been low risk the whole way through so 🤞

6543336787gesgvjhg · 12/11/2021 11:04

@Sungirl11 @Lou8319 good to hear from you. I'm 35 plus 2 today. Got a scan next Wednesday at 36 weeks to check position and should be told when they will induce me or might have to wait until 38 week midwife appointment. Have you guys been told they won't let you go over 40 weeks as we're consultant lead care?

Have you been doing any Hypnobirthing? I've found a really good website and signed up to the course around a month ago.

Sungirl11 · 12/11/2021 11:23

@6543336787gesgvjhg nice to hear from you too! I'm 31+3 today.
We had a private scan yesterday to see her, but no important info (let me show you one of the pics haha).
She is already head down. I'm having a completely normal pregnancy, haven't had any "special" appointments just the normal 12-20w scans and my midwife appointments, so i'm going all the way to my 40weeks or over as any non IVF low risk pregnancy.
I haven't started hypnobirthing but I have to contact a woman who does this close to home (midwife recommendation) when i'm back from our babymoon next week.
I am going to the pool, really enjoy that.
We also did our maternity photoshoot yesterday, really making the most of this pregnancy we are!! Hahah

@Sungirl11 haha I love the peace sign picture!! The two midwifes have said he is head down so hoping he has moved for the scan. My best friend is a midwife and came around last night and we've gone through loads of stuff which is really good. I'm really excited to meet our little one. All the nursery furniture has turned up this morning so hubby will be busy this weekend building it all. Have you been getting lots of movements? Any heartburn?

OP posts:
Sungirl11 · 13/11/2021 10:12

@6543336787gesgvjhg exciting! We have the nursery and everything ready! Hahah
She is a wiggler... since week 20 she is non stop! I even got a bit worried as she is moving all the time and doesn't rest! But midwife said some babies are very active and that is also ok. Hope she settles when she's out or we are going to be veeerry busy.
No heartburn for me at all
What about you? X

Lou8319 · 13/11/2021 16:15

@6543336787gesgvjhg we’ve been told we’re low risk too. I’ve had the two consultants appointments which weren’t any different to my normal midwife appointments. They did however give me the option of going to 41 weeks and being induced, but I think that’s the same as normal!
