Hi everyone!

I’m new to these boards but you look like a lovely friendly bunch so I just wanted to ask some advice!

I’m on my first round of ICSI and on day 17 of burserelin injections but I still haven’t had a bleed. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m not due to go back to the clinic for a scan until next Monday so hoping it’ll come between now and then!

Thanks for your help! x

Wow EC tomorrow! You must be feeling so excited/nervous/millions of other emotions right now! 😂
I’m sure it will go perfectly for you and you’ll get some top quality eggs but will be keeping everything crossed for u tomorrow! I definitely agree about it being quality over quantity, hopefully your little heart shaped egg is one of the front runners! 💓
Thanks for your support but AF’s still a no show and no signs of it coming either! 🙈 It’s driving me demented now, I just want to get on with the stims now but seems I may be down regging forever!
I’ve had a lovely few days off thanks, nice and relaxing with plenty of afternoon naps! Back to work today though
I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow and I hope u enjoy the little snooze during the collection and don’t feel too rough afterwards! x

Hey @LauraC1984
Sorry for the late reply, I was a bit out of it yesterday!
Well, we got 3 eggs. I knew we wouldn't get as many as last time but we were a little disheartened at first at the low number. Trying to remain positive for their phone call later this morning to see how things have gone overnight 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I've been a little uncomfortable since the retrieval but nothing too bad and nothing a few paracetamol and rest hasn't cured!
How are you feeling sweetie? When is your next appointment at the clinic? X

I’m so pleased everything went well and you aren’t in too much discomfort today! Make sure you take plenty of time to relax, it’s a good excuse to get your DH to do all the housework too! 😂
I’m sorry you’re a bit disappointed but 3 eggs is great and fingers crossed you’ll get some positive news this morning that will lift you’re spirits a bit! 🙏 Like you said it’s quality over quantity and praying your’s are the best quality!
I’m good thanks, I’m working all weekend again so just relaxing before I start at 1pm, feeling a bit crampy this morning but still no signs of AF, got another scan on Monday morning but I’m pretty sure there won’t have been much change if any!
I have everything crossed that you get good news this morning hun, sending big hugs! 🤗 x

Hey!
I am really hoping these cramps are a good sign 🤞🏻 see what they say at your next appointment, is there a possibility they might put you onto stimming anyway?
Well we've had a positive start as 2 of the eggs have fertilised! Such a relief because we have to have AOA (artificial oocyte activation) at the time of ICSI as DH's swimmers are lacking a specific enzyme crucial for fertilisation to happen. So it's double the anxiety! We're so very lucky at this stage and keeping everything tightly crossed they continue to develop over the next few days ❤️❤️
Thinking of you lots at work this weekend, maybe it will keep you busy and take your mind off things at least a little bit 😘 x

Ah that’s amazing! I’m so so happy for you!!!
I can’t even imagine how relieved you must feel but then also super anxious about the next stage, you are honestly a superhero to be coping so amazingly well with everything!
Sending lots of positivity your way and praying your little embies develop well! x

Morning @LauraC1984
How are you feeling? How was your scan yesterday? Been thinking of you lots!
Well I'm booked for transfer tomorrow afternoon 🤞🏻both our little embryos were doing well yesterday so fingers crossed they've continued to blossom. I'm feeling a bit crampy, almost like my period is coming, the last few days and really sore boobs but I'm really hoping and preying it's down to the progesterone pessaries and nothing else. I'm going to speak to the clinic today though just in case. X

Morning! @Helsbee16
I’m so happy for you! I’ve been wondering how you were getting on. How exciting, only one more day to go until your embryo’s on board! 😬 I have everything crossed for you that they’re both progressing nicely, I’m sure they will be!
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling great, I hope the clinic are able to put your mind at rest today and it is just side effects of all the meds.
I’m good thanks, had a mini meltdown yesterday morning when I realised that I had originally been scheduled for EC yesterday but then went for my scan and things are finally looking up so that cheered me up! AF still hasn’t arrived but my lining has thinned down a lot and my hormone levels are really low but there’s still one follicle hanging around on my left ovary.
The consultant seems to think that will disappear over the next few days so I’m back for another scan on Friday to hopefully start stims at last. Will just have to keep everything crossed that it all goes to plan this week! x

Morning sweetness
@LauraC1984
I honestly got goosebumps a little when I read your lining has reduced down a lot and you're feeling a bit more positive. Honestly this process can be so bloody tough at times but you're a right trooper ❤️ I really hope and prey that they say stims can start very soon lovey 🤞🏻you need this now!
Eek I'm sat on the sofa in my PJ's watching crap telly before setting off to the clinic at 11ish. We had an encouraging call first thing from the embryologist to say that both embryos are of very good quality so suggest we have just the one put back today and we can freeze the second. We're a bit overwhelmed at the moment and feel so very lucky to have got this far, especially having one to freeze.
Please let me know how you get on on Friday when you can, I'll be thinking of you and of course keeping everything tightly crossed 😘 X

I can’t believe you’ll now have a little embie on board, I’m so excited for you! And to have one for the freezer too is amazing!!! Well done you! Although I’m really preying you won’t need it for a long time! 😂
Thanks so much for your support, it really helps! I will be so so happy if I can finally start stims on Friday! x

Hey @Helsbee16 how are you feeling? I hope you’re coping with the 2ww okay, I bet you’re dying to test!
Unfortunately it wasn’t good news for me today! The scan showed my lining was thin enough but the follicle is still there and hasn’t got any smaller. Got the results of my blood test this afternoon and somehow my hormone levels have increased very slightly! How does that even happen???!
I’m be got to go back for another scan and bloods on Tuesday, unfortunately if my hormone levels aren’t low enough then the cycle will be cancelled because the clinic closes over Xmas so I wouldn’t get my ec and transfer in time. Not a good day! 😥 x

Ow my darling @LauraC1984 I feel so gutted reading your message. Seriously, our bodies seem to just do what they want sometimes even when they're being controlled!! Please please try not lose hope, I know that's easier said than done as I know it must just feel like crap at the moment 😔
Are you doing anything weekend? I know it won't take your minds off things but I might help a little to focus on something nice?
I'm not too bad thank you, although really feeling like it's not going to work as I'm pretty sure my period is coming 😔 not much else I can do except wait.
Please try and have some relaxing time if you're not working this weekend. I'll be thinking of you lots. X

No way! I really really hope it’s just the side effects of the medication making you feel that way and your period doesn’t arrive for a good 9 months! I’m so sorry you aren’t feeling too hopeful, although I have seen a lot of people say the same but then go on to get a positive test so will keep everything crossed for you lovely! I hope you’re having a nice chilled weekend.
I’m still trying to stay positive but it’s not that easy now! Although AF has finally showed up so I’m hoping that might help things, although I’m not sure whether it would have an impact on my hormone levels, who knows!
Im working all weekend but I don’t mind too much, it keeps my mind off things and it is absolutely awful weather here, torrential rain and freezing cold 🥶 x

Morning sweetie @LauraC1984
I'm so pleased to hear AF has finally entered the room....the little madam! I know it's easy for me to say, but when this process throws curve balls at you left right and centre it really does make you stronger, even when you don't think so. I really bloody hope this means that things can move to the next stage for you but IF the cycle does get postponed because of the clinic closing get back in the saddle when you're ready after Christmas. This emotionally and physically draining road will all be worth it, I feel it ❤️
Yeah, I'm really hoping it's down to the progesterone and all the prodding and poking over the last few months but what will be will be I suppose. We have a frostie which we're so grateful for and I can't stop thinking about it in its little freezer 🙈 There's nothing more I can do at this stage....except wait!
Hope work is keeping your mind busy lovely. X

Hey @Helsbee16,
Work is keeping me busy thankfully, got a 3pm to 3am shift today and then my scan in the morning so work should stop me overthinking things anyway! I’ve kind of accepted now that there’s nothing I can do to change things so just got to wait and see!
How are you feeling lovely? I hope you’re feeling a bit better! Are you working this week too? I hope you are able to relax a bit this week and find some nice things to do to keep your mind busy.
How many days past transfer are u now? Does your clinic do a blood test or are u just testing at home? I’m not sure if he able to hold out until otd! Thinking of you lots and sending lots of positivity your way! 💓 x

Hi @Helsbee16
I hope you’re okay and your period didn’t show up, I still have so much hope that this cycle is the one for you! How are u feeling now?
This round was cancelled for me yesterday, the buserelin definitely wasn’t working! Even though I’d had a bleed my lining was getting thicker and there were more follicles appearing on both ovaries! Not good! 😥
I feel slightly relieved to not be in limbo land any longer but also really sad and a bit heartbroken! My clinic have said to ring when I start a natural period which could take 4-6 weeks and then they’ll start me down regging again but on day 21, fingers crossed it helps!
I really hope you’re doing okay lovely, you so deserve a positive ending! xx

Morning sweetie @LauraC1984
Oww I'm so sorry to hear this. It must be so heartbreaking after everything you've already been through my darling. Give yourself some time to be pissed off and then try to pick yourself back up when you're ready. I can actually imagine you feel ever so slightly relieved, even if it is to just not feel in limbo all the time and to know where you stand for now.
I've only ever down regged from day 21 in my cycles so I'm more familiar with that route. I'm glad they're changing things up, everyone is so different and sometimes the first round will give the doctors an indication of how to proceed next.
Please be good to yourself from now on, have a good Christmas and get back to it in the new year. I'll be thinking of you so very much but please talk to me if you need/want to ❤️😘
AF hasn't arrived just yet 🤞🏻but I feel she is on her way. Symptoms are up and down, coming and going but could be down to many things including the progesterone and the amount of prodding and poking over the last few months! Difficult not to read into them all but I'm trying 😩 OTD is on Sunday, so only 3 days to get through!! Thank you soooo much for all your support lovey, I really appreciate it. Xx

Morning lovey @LauraC1984
Well it's sad news I'm afraid. I started spotting yesterday so we tested twice last night and they were both negative. The bleeding has got heavier this morning so I know for sure it's over for us this time.
I'm sad but OK, we will move on with our frostie when we're ready but at the moment we just feel sad.
Ahh it's just so good to know I could be there for you. I know everyone's situations are so different but it really does help to have someone to talk to who has been through similar experiences. I'll always be here if you need a rant whenever!! It's a tough journey and everyone needs support.
Thinking of you lots and lots 😘 x

Hey @Helsbee16
It’s lovely to hear from you, I’m so sorry you’re having a tough time. You’ve been through so much I can’t even imagine how difficult this must be for you. Look after each other and allow yourself some time to heal and we can come back fighting in the new year!
I’m okay thanks, just a bit frustrated! Feel a bit like I’m in limbo again waiting for my period to turn up so that we can hopefully get started again. Trying to take my mind off things though and I’m sure the next few weeks with fly over with Xmas and New Year. I’m going out on my works Xmas party today so going to let my hair down and have a bit of a blow out I think! 🥂
Have u got your tree up yet? I’m mega disorganised and haven’t yet, still got Xmas shopping to do too! 🙈
Take care lovely xx
