No bleed on Down Reg

Hi everyone!

I’m new to these boards but you look like a lovely friendly bunch so I just wanted to ask some advice!

I’m on my first round of ICSI and on day 17 of burserelin injections but I still haven’t had a bleed. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m not due to go back to the clinic for a scan until next Monday so hoping it’ll come between now and then!

AF proceeded to follow through with a vengeance so hopefully all good. So tbh my cycle is exactly the same as normal on the Buserelin except for the much improved mood lol!
I'm actually finding the injections fine although my skin seems to feel "tougher" as the days go on...I dunno if that's the right word but I'm definitely seeming to struggle more to get the needle in last few days. Plus I find it easier one side of my stomach than the other. But I'm generally finding it a bit tricky to find a space I've not injected before, plus I have a few big ol scars to avoid from historical surgeries! xx

I'm glad AF arrived for u and you're feeling okay, I totally know what u mean about your skin feeling tougher too! I've been changing the needle after drawing up the liquid the last few days and using a new one to inject. I'm still bruising tho, I think it must just be like Helsbee said and it's because I'm running out of space that I haven't already injected in to!
Is this your first round of IVF? x

If it makes you feel any better I had 32 days of DR and no bleed. Went straight into stims, retrieval and transfer with no problem and a lovely little one born this year as a result! My clinic we're not at all concerned about it. Good luck!

Congratulations Springb0ks! And thank you for replying, I’ve been for my baseline scan this morning and my lining is still thick and there’s 4 big follicles in my left ovary, the doctors just told me to continue with the injections and I’m back for a scan next Monday. I’m just praying it improves and hoping they won’t cancel the cycle if not! x

Yes this is my first round of IVF. We are slight male factor/unexplained... my baseline scan is Friday morning so just have to see whether the Buserelin has done it's magic and then the plan is to start stims that evening but who knows!
I'm really really trying to just take each day as it comes xxx

Ah sounds like you definitely did the right thing telling your work especially working for the emergency services. How amazing by the way!! It's so good your new manager is aware of the situation as well. You'll get lots of support by the sounds of things.
I've just seen that you had your scan and they've said your lining is a bit thick still....awww really preying that it's reduced down when you have your next scan lovey. Everything seems such a long wait doesn't it! How are you feeling in yourself though? I hope you've managed to get some chill time in for yourself!

Ah honestly my job is not that amazing, I work for the least liked emergency service! 😂
I’m feeling good today, thanks for asking! 😃 I had a bit of a down day yesterday after the scan but pulled myself together today and feeling a bit more positive. I just really hope my cycle doesn’t get cancelled, they haven’t suggested that but I’m just a worrier!
I’m really hoping you’re responding well to the meds and you see some lovely big follicles on your scan! It must be such a scary time for you but I’m wishing you all the luck in the world! x

Honestly this journey is so full of ups and downs. Of course you're going to worry, I just wish our bodies would behave themselves!! I'm glad you're feeling a bit more positive now my lovely, be kind to yourself though.

I know exactly how you feel, our bodies never seem to play ball do they! Although things with me are always awkward in some way and more difficult so I don’t know why I’m surprised really! 😂

I feel you @LauraC1984 I often feel that way too. Things never seem straight forward but I've just accepted that this is our journey so let's get cracking! Bloody hard though when you feel like there are obstacles in your way all the time!
My scan went OK thank you 😘 I've got 3 follicles on my right ovary and 4 on the left. The 4 aren't developing as well as the 3 but it's still early days. Back on Friday so fingers crossed there's some improvement 🤞🏻the nurse said one of the follicles looked like a little heart so she printed a picture off for us ❤️ so cute.

Aww I’m so pleased for you that it’s all looking good! And the heart shaped follicle sounds adorable, fingers crossed it’s a sign and that will be the one that works for you! 💓

Still no bleed here! It’s so frustrating! Not really much I can do though so just continuing with the buserelin and praying it miraculously arrives over the weekend! 🙏 x

Morning lovely! Gosh, no worries at all. My body clock likes to wake me up at around 4:30 naturally 🙈 been lying in bed with DH chatting since then 😂
I'm a bit of a dreamer too....its hard not to be at times!
It went OK, not a massive amount of improvement so have to keep stimming and go back Monday, which I fully expected. How are you feeling? X

4.30 start on a Saturday is super early! I think I’d be needing a nap by now! 😂 I’m not a morning person at all, I have to drag myself out of bed most days!
Will keep everything crossed for you and sending lots of positive vibes your way for Monday’s scan!
I’m okay, a bit despondent now I guess, I really don’t think my period is going to come anytime soon. I feel like my body just hasn’t switched off like it should have done so will just have to wait and see what the clinic suggest on Monday 😔

Owww I'll be thinking of you so very much tomorrow poppet, hopefully they can make some suggestions. How was the thickness of your lining when you last had a scan? I can't remember 🙈
I've been feeling very bloated and a bit uncomfortable the last few days which is weird considering there want an awful lot going on on Fridays scan. Hoping there's been some improvement since then. I spent most of the day on the sofa yesterday shamelessly watching Christmas movies in my PJ's 😂
DH and I are treating ourselves to brekkie out this morning, then a trip to my parents for a cuppa then probably a Downton Abbey marathon. Weather is awful. What have you guys been up to this weekend? Something relaxing I hope 😘 X

Sorry to hear your feeling a bit uncomfortable, obviously I have no experience of it but everything I’ve read suggests that’s a really good sign so fingers crossed you’ve had a big growth spurt and your scan will be amazing tomorrow! 🤞
Last scan my lining was still thick and there were 4 big 3cm follicles on my left ovary 🙈 Still no AF and no other symptoms to speak of so I’m trying to prepare myself for this cycle being cancelled tomorrow at the scan! (I’m failing miserably but I’m trying!)
Ah a pj day with Christmas movies sounds lush and I hope you enjoyed your breakfast this morning! I’ve been working all weekend so just finished at 3am this morning, 4 days off now though so going in to Newcastle for Sunday lunch shortly and then probably just a chilled night at home. It’s quite a nice day here, makes a change from all the rain we’ve had recently! Bad weather just makes me want to hibernate! x

I really hope your scan went well today and you’re feeling okay 🤗

I had another scan this morning, there’s been a bit of improvement in that 2 of the follicles have gone but there’s still 2 hanging around and my lining is still thick. I’m just so happy that the cycle hasn’t been cancelled, the consultant said it will definitely happens, it’s just taking longer than normal so just continuing with the buserelin injections for now. It’s ironic that last week I was devastated I had to continue down regging and this week I’m over the moon to continue, it’s such an emotional rollercoaster! x

I'm sooooo glad that your consultant is positive it will continue, that must be a relief. You've obviously got a lovely naturally think lining that doesn't want to budge and hopefully soon will be a snuggly home for an embryo ❤️
I'm nearly there!! A little improvement and my lining is a good thickness so back for (hopefully) one last scan Wednesday and then all being well egg collection will be on Friday 🤞🏻
You're right, it really is a roller-coaster...my emotions are so up and down at the moment but trying to keep level headed and calm. Watching a bit of Downton to chill me out 😂
Hope you're OK lovey. Your Sunday lunch sounded lush by the way. Hope you got to relax a little after working all weekend. Try and get some rest in over the next few days you're off. X

Ah thank you! I’m feeling much more positive about things now, the clinic rang this morning to say the hormone levels in my bloods are decreasing well so that’s good, just need AF to show her face now!
Im so so pleased your scan went well! It’s all exciting now! The beginning seems to take forever and then all of a sudden everything is moving really fast for you! Only a few days until EC! How are you feeling? I hope u managed to have a nice relaxed evening last night and are able to make some time for you over the next few days. I am literally so excited for you! 💓 x

It's so good to hear you're feeling more positive...and you should. That's great news! Honestly, it's like information overload and you end up looking back and wondering how you managed to process it all! But you do.
You're so right....the first 3 weeks or so seem to drag, you feel tired and warn out, then all of a sudden you're preparing for EC and it's all systems go. Just keeping everything crossed right now (except my legs obviously 😂) 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks so much for your kind words, it helps so much to have someone to talk to! I have a really supportive DH and family but I still think the whole IVF journey can feel really lonely at times if that makes sense so it means a lot to have someone who understands! 💓

I totally understand what you mean. I too have an amazingly supportive DH and family and I'm so grateful for that but sometimes you just need to talk to someone who has physically gone through it/is going through it. There are so many questions whirling round in your head and sometimes it just helps to rant to someone whose been there. I'm so glad I've been able to help you a little on your journey 🥰

Scan went well, it's all systems go and EC is going ahead tomorrow 🤞🏻 the nurse said there are a couple of front runners in terms of size. We're not expecting loads of eggs but it does only take one so trying to stay positive. Can't believe I'm saying this but kind of looking forward to the nice little kip during EC and someone bringing me a hot cuppa afterwards 🙈
