@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF thank you!! I really hope is is a lucky thread for everyone 🤞🏼

HJF84 · 04/10/2019 21:24

Hi all!

I'm joining as I'm in my tww, well I'm currently on day 3 after blastocyst transfer from my first fresh IVF cycle.

I test on the 11th Oct, trying super hard not to overanalyse every cramp and twinge I get!

Sending lots of good luck to everyone during this stressful/exciting time

X

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 05/10/2019 08:31

@HJF84 good luck! Your test day is only 2 days behind mine, but I'm already 9dp5dt, funny how clinics are so different.
And good luck not analysing everything. I was and still am driving myself crazy
I took another test today, still bfp. I'm ever so slightly concerned that for 2 days in a row I have had a tiny amount of brown blood on the applicator when I insert the pessaries. My rational head says its brown blood which is a good sign and its only on the applicator. My irrational side is freaking out a little...the nurse I spoke to yesterday said she wasn't at all concerned about it but that's easy for her to say lol

@HJF84 Good luck! Such a bloody terrifying and exciting time!

Caved today and tested - 7dpt and my OTD is Monday which seems really early now I’ve been researching. BFN today, literally stark white, and feel like AF is coming, boobs aren’t sore anymore and feeling pretty sad and hopeless.

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 05/10/2019 10:21

@HJF84 welcome!
@mollyD88 don’t give up hope yet might just be to early!

I’m still having spotting am trying to think of it as a positive sign as it happened last time but who knows only 3dp5dt!

mouse1234567 · 05/10/2019 11:17

@Namechangerextraordinaire1 i know ya hard but I would try not to worry about small amounts of brown blood -implantation bleeding is very common with ivf I think -and the pessaries can cause it a bit I think?

@MollyD88 I’m so sorry -it’s all so disappointing. Hope you are ok. Hope it changes in a few days but also understand you want to manage your expectations.

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I think the spotting could certainly be a good sign. I have no signs which makes me think it’s prob going to be a no but I guess who knows?!

At home with my parents as distraction -Doing a puzzle with my dad and off to lunch soon. What is everyone else doing for distraction? As much as I find work stressful I kind of do prefer being there during the tww!

What’s everyone eating? I’m trying to be really good but also feel like maybe a bit of tasty dessert at lunch could be nice.

mouse1234567 · 05/10/2019 11:18

@MollyD88 7dt is early though-was it fresh or frozen? Apparently frozens can take longer? Does your clinic do bloods? I think they read it earlier?

GreyC · 05/10/2019 12:00

I’m 4 days post transfer. Had some cramps Wednesday; and odd dull pain most of the day yesterday which turned into back ache but the progesterone does those symptoms too. My boobs have blue veins I can clearly see which I didn’t have before but again think it’s the progesterone. Had nothing today so far. And I feel normal. I know you don’t really get symptoms this early but I’m feeling positive 🙏🤞 as it’s all we can do right?!

SHarris90 · 05/10/2019 13:15

Hi, this is my first time writing into these thread (though I often read them).

Having a bit of a down day having just had a BNF. I have hypothalamic amenorrhea and I've had 3 cycles of Menopur (the first two failed as my ovaries went into overdrive) this last one went well and I took the OV injection on 21/09 (2 weeks ago).

I was advised to POAS 18 days after this but couldn't wait any longer! It's so hard not to symptom spot! Has anyone ever tested negative 14 days after OV and later retested for a BNP or am I just being delusional?

Thanks

MollyD88 · 05/10/2019 14:12

@mouse1234567 no, just been told to test on Monday and let them know the result. Can’t see it changing by then at all.

HJF84 · 05/10/2019 20:13

@Namechangerextraordinaire1 Ah congrats! That's so lovely to hear this as you're the OP. Let's hope that means it is good luck for all of us. Clinics are strange! At what dpt did you test?

@MollyD88 Thanks! You too 🤞🏼 Don't give up hope yet until your test date. I've even heard of people testing on the date as a BFN but bloods have come back BFP.

@GreyC Your post could have been me writing it! We must be transfer twins. I'm 4dpt and I had cramps yesterday. I've had a couple of twinges today but not like yesterday. Trying to wear my positive pants at all times! I've had two friends have significant bleeds at day 4 & 5 so I'm eager to get past this weekend. It's so hard not to overthink everything.

@SHarris90 Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. Sending you a big hug. This is my first cycle so I have no experience to offer up.

GreyC · 05/10/2019 20:29

@HJF84 I don’t know what to think! Some people had bad cramping where as I’ve been pretty fine today minus a full twinges and sharp pains in my pelvis and my continue blue veins in my boobs and chest. I want to feel that something is happening but quality people have nothing and have a positive experience. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Wales81 · 05/10/2019 22:53

@kate higher congratulations so sl happy for you. Gives hope to us all 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Been a weird day for me, yesterday boobs stopped hurting, assumed trigger shot must be coming to its end.
Woke up today super moody, really irritable. Broken out in spots and had a horrible one on my neck!!! (Never had that before).
Convinced myself not preggo, then started feeling teary and have slight boob pain again.
Thinking its PMT but even that's tough as due to PCOS dont even have that many periods to tell what normal looks like.

Could just cry 😭

Otd is week tomorrow so still got ages to go 😞🤯🤷🏻‍♀️

Namechangerextraordinaire1 · 05/10/2019 23:36

@littlepeaegg you're still very early so hopefully it's just needing a few more days to turn to a bfp
@MollyD88 sorry to hear of your bfn. 7dp is still early. I know it won't help me saying it, but try not to worry cos you're not out yet
@mouse1234567 hope your weekend with your parents is nice and relaxing still. As for eating, I'm trying to be good and eat atleast my 5 a day. It may be heavily supplemented with crisps and chocolate though 🤭
@GreyC it is dtill very early but it sounds like you're having much the same as me...i hope you have a bfp too
@SHarris90 hello and I'm sorry you've not had the greatest day. I think at 14dpo it's probably an accurate result, but you never know. It could be a late implanter
@Wales81 it's a horrible mixture of feelings and really hard. Hopefully the next few days go wuickly and it's good news

Tries again this morning and absolutely nothing. OTD tomorrow so I’m sure I’m out now.

Good luck everyone.

MollyD88 · 06/10/2019 08:23

@mouse1234567 and it was fresh so should be clear by now I think.

HJF84 · 06/10/2019 08:49

Woke up this morning and my boobs aren't sore anymore. I thought it was the progesterone making them sore, but I read elsewhere that it was the trigger shot. Anyone know any more about this?

Also, I read somewhere (I know that you shouldn't believe everything you read online) that the progesterone supplements can delay AF. This is my first IVF cycle so I'd love to know other people's experiences. Two of my friends had AF arrive on day 4/5 past transfer. Does AF usually arrive whilst taking progesterone supplements, or can it be delayed?

Kate2461 · 06/10/2019 09:27

@Wales81 thank you, it's defo still sinking in. I had|have spots too, and weirdly one on my neck which I've never ever had before. Keep the faith x

@HJF84 this was a FET for me but I had 2 failed fresh transfers previously and each time AF came exactly per my cycle. Spotting to start with then a full period a day or so later. Not sure if that helpful or not, good luck x

@MollyD88 I'm so sorry, I know exactly how you'll be feeling. Give yourself a major break today and just relax as much as you can, you just need to take it easy before deciding on your next step. Sending you lots of love x

MollyD88 · 06/10/2019 09:36

@Kate2461 thank you - first go and everything looked top notch so had so much hope.

Really happy it’s finally worked for you - gives me a little more hope!

Kate2461 · 06/10/2019 09:58

@MollyD88 I was exactly the same, everything that was textbook and I had high expectations first time. 2nd time I was more realistic and third time I was the same. It's just the journey as my fiancé kept telling me. Take care

mouse1234567 · 06/10/2019 10:28

@MollyD88 I’m so sorry it was negative again. This process is so tough. Try not to lose faith though -unfortunately sometimes it just takes a few goes. So much seems to be down to luck. Look after yourself.

@HJF84 in my experience progesterone holds off AF-or that’s the intention. Saying that I know some ladies bleed through it and get their period sooner-but I think that’s not meant to happen. I think once you stop the progesterone you get your period a few days or so later.

Re the boob soreness -I had a fresh freeze all with a small HCG trigger and this is the only time I have had very sore tingly nipples for prob 4-5 days after. I have then done two frozen transfers only with oestrogen and progesterone and no boob ache. So I think on a fresh transfer the boob soreness is prob not a symptoms initially and actually a result of the trigger.

mouse1234567 · 06/10/2019 10:44

Anyone else finding the weekends really drag in the wait? Don’t get me wrong I usually love being off work but somehow during the tww I think it’s easier and more distracting at work.

MollyD88 · 06/10/2019 11:30

Now I seem to have thrush as well just to top it all off - has anyone else had this from the pessaries?

HJF84 · 06/10/2019 12:16

@mouse1234567 Thanks for confirming what I had read about the boob soreness and delayed AF.

I agree about the weekends! I haven't taken any time off, apart from ET but I've been taking it easy at work (no stress). I had a lovely day with my MIL yesterday at the theatre but today I decided to have a sofa day. And I'm bored already. I need to keep my mind occupied or I keep symptom assuming 🤔 Maybe I need to get into a good book.

GreyC · 06/10/2019 12:52

I’m struggling this weekend. Got myself really down and upset for no reason. I have no symptoms at all apart from my slightly blue veiny boobs and some burning/twinge feeling right pelvis. My DP is trying hard to get me out of this mood but I can’t help it! Feel sad and upset today and I don’t know why. I’m 5 day post transfer. I also did a test with random urine (not FMU) and then decided to Chuck it away before seeing the results (I haven’t looked!) and I’m not going to as even though I feel sad today I still feel like there is some hope as it’s another 8 days before my OTD even if it was negative I do know it is still very early.
Does anyone else feel this way?
