Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time Smile

@41trying everything still on course for egg collection on Monday? Hope you are doing okay :-)

41trying · 11/01/2020 10:16

@LucyLucyT, yes thank you. Scan went well. I had 3 at 18, 2 16, 1 smaller, so still had to take meds last night. Trigger is thos evening for EC 830 Monday. I have fingers and toes crossed.
How are you, doing ok I hope

fool11 · 11/01/2020 11:00

That’s great news @41trying. Have my fingers crossed for you. Hope all goes well.

Hope your nausea is better LucyLucyT.

LucyLucyT · 11/01/2020 14:06

Ahh good news @41trying I hope it goes well for you. I got so nervous with the trigger and making sure I did it dead on time hehe.

I'm alright thanks, I actually feel slightly less nauseous this morning, hoping it's a sign of things to come!

@fool11 how are you?

41trying · 11/01/2020 21:17

Thanks ladies!
Trigger is done, no more injections just tomorrow to get through now till Monday, a nice early night I think, I have to be there at 830 with an hours drive as traffic will be a nightmare.
Wish I could sleep through tomorrow ha ha

fool11 · 12/01/2020 09:07

Glad you feel better @LucyLucyT. With my daughter I was nauseous for 7m..could barely eat so lost some weight ;which wasn’t a bad thing 😄). I’m ok now, just very hungry during the day , eating too much and then feeling nauseous in the late afternoons, evenings. Do you have any cravings? I can’t stop eating oranges, pineapples , grapefruits..

Hope you got some sleep @41trying.

LucyLucyT · 12/01/2020 11:48

I have been the same @fool11, eating too much and then being nauseous! It's like a vicious cycle. I just had eggy bread for brunch, not sure why as it always makes me a bit refluxy after but really wanted some!

I have also wanted quite a lot of fruit, I'm always partial to pineapple but are loads on Friday. Been wanting oranges and orange juice a lot too.

Glad the trigger went okay @41trying, not long now!

fool11 · 13/01/2020 09:44

Hope your EC went all well this morning @41trying.

LucyLucyT · 13/01/2020 15:06

Yes me too, been thinking of you!

41trying · 14/01/2020 08:35

Morning both!
Sorry forgot all about letting you know.
They collected 3. Had call this morning that 2 were viable to inject and 1 fertilised. Booked to go for transfer tomorrow as there is only one. Still have to wait for a call first thing to make sure it's still dividing. Another waiting day with fingers and toes crossed.
I hope your both ok

fool11 · 14/01/2020 14:23

Hope you will have some good news tomorrow @41trying. Will they delay the ET to later day - D3 or D5 if it's dividing strongly tomorrow morning (not sure if that's the right word) or do you prefer just have it back in...i know many say that the best environment for it is back inside..have my fingers crossed x

i'm good, thank you. had my harmony test results via email this morning and it came back as very low, less than 1 in 10 000 which is great, so very happy, although still have to get through 12w scan (this Thursday) and 20w for psychical abnormalities, but at least we are getting closer day by day. We are having a boy.

41trying · 14/01/2020 16:29

@fool11, that's great news, so happy for you.
As long as it's still dividing they will put it back at 10.30 tomorrow, like you said, they say that's the best place. So I will be waiting at 830 for the call

fool11 · 15/01/2020 08:40

Thank you @41trying. Hope all goes well today x

41trying · 15/01/2020 08:53

@fool11 I've had the call I have a grade 2 so I'm leaving shorty

fool11 · 15/01/2020 08:59

That’s great, good luck x

41trying · 15/01/2020 11:50

Well it's all done and I'm home. Got the dreaded TWW now. They want me to test on 30th, its feels so far away.
Did you guys test early?

fool11 · 15/01/2020 12:40

Well done. I didn’t, we did transfer on d5 , DET and I tested 12d later, as per clinics instructions, and if I’m honest I didn’t mind 2ww, weirdly I was happy to wait as I told myself that I’m technically pregnant, at least for those two weeks..I know prob strange but I wanted to enjoy those 2w as it would be last chance for me to be preg..on day 12 I got a very very faint line so I’m glad I waited otherwise I think I would be very stressed out if I tested early and there would be no line..I did on same day also clear blue digital which confirmed the faint line as said preg 1-2w...did another test a week later and it was much stronger..I would recommend to enjoy it as you are pregnant until proven otherwise 🙂 but understand it might not work for you x

41trying · 15/01/2020 12:53

@fool11 thank you. I suppose your right, it's in there now so I cant do anything else.
As I only had one fertilised they put it back today so have to wait the full 2 weeks.
I suppose I will just keep myself aa busy as I can.

LucyLucyT · 15/01/2020 21:21

Sorry I haven't been in touch, had a manic day yesterday, my partner is starting on a drug trial that could be really important for his health and we had to go and get a load of tests done, spent the day traipsing around London between hospitals!

@fool11 many congratulations on your harmony results, what a relief for you!

@41trying pleased you've got that precious embryo transferred, like fool11 said it's in the best place now. I really hope that it starts bedding in!
I didn't test early either, I know a lot of people do but I also had a very faint line initially which may not have been there earlier on. I also tested again about 4 or 5 days later to see the line getting darker (I only bought standard Tesco own tests so nothing fancy). I found the TWW gradually more difficult as I went along but tried to keep busy with various things, although I did spend too much time worrying about it, that's my habit though!

41trying · 17/01/2020 09:50

Hey ladies, did either of you have acid reflux while using progesterone pessaries. Its diving ne mad

LucyLucyT · 17/01/2020 11:04

I don't think I did at that stage but I know the hormones affect how you digest food so I think it could be related. Might be the HCG from the trigger as well.

I'm certainly getting reflux at the moment 🙈

fool11 · 17/01/2020 11:06

Hi, I had a burning sensation for weeks, it was painful, although found bloatiness and constipation worse..must say I hated them and was very happy to stop at 8w..took about 2w to get back to normal.. how are you finding the 2ww?

41trying · 17/01/2020 11:53

Thanks both.
I keep peeing so much, but I am drinking lots. I had reflux so much yesterday, nothing yet today. Tww is a nightmare I dont really feel like doing anything. Also going bed 10.30 -11 and not sleeping that well, which before IVF started I slept so well.
I know constipation will come and it did last time taking the pessarys so I'm going to take sena from this evening as it's horrible.

LucyLucyT · 19/01/2020 21:19

@41trying @fool11 how are you both doing?
I think I'm starting to turn the corner with my nausea, but still getting it from time to time.

fool11 · 20/01/2020 11:03

Hi @LucyLucyT, I’m well, thank you. Glad to hear your nausea is better. I’m still more nauseous in the evenings than mornings but it might be because I’m eating way too much during the day, my belly is already bigger at 12w than when I was 5m with my daughter ..just feel constantly hungry. I was told during the 12w scan that the baby is bigger, I think nhs measured 6.25 , private clinic 5.9cm, at private scan they said that ivf babies are usually bigger at 1 and 2nd trimester, in hospital consultant didn’t say much, he was useless..did they say anything similar to you? My husband and I are average height 5.6’ and my daughter was very small when born so was surprised to hear that baby is big..are you going to find out the gender? I was told that you get more nauseous with girls than boys..which seems correct for me..

Hope you are well @41trying.
