Hi all

There was already a thread for people cycling in October that i wanted to join but canny find it anywhere.

Im about to do my 6th (jeez) cycle of ICSI.
I already have a 4 year old DS from cycle number 4 and we decided we would try for a sibling.

Im currently just about to ovulate (getting the flashy smiley face on OPK) then i will start stimming on my next period at the start of October.

I had an awful cycle last November (my 5th) where i only got 2 mature eggs and non fertilised. This was because the wrong dose of drugs were given at the start of stimming.
So, with this slightly in the back of my mind, im still optimistic for a better cycle this time Smile

@fool11 I know what you mean, there always seems to be something to wait for and be apprehensive about! I am still getting the bloating, sometimes my tummy feels so tight. It's all worth it hopefully!

fool11 · 02/12/2019 06:47

Good luck today @LucyLucyT..hope all goes well and you hear some wonderful news xx

LucyLucyT · 02/12/2019 08:04

Thanks very much, feeling more nervous now unfortunately. Yesterday developed some light pink discharge, it's not all the time, just had two small episodes, really hoping it's not a sign of bad things to come. Have hardly slept and feeling so anxious about it. Not too long to go at least but just dreading bad news.

fool11 · 02/12/2019 08:20

I know what you mean, it is very stressful ..I actually found every stage of pregnancy stressful..was worried with my first pregnancy if will be ok..I guess that’s what you do if you don’t get pregnant easily and it’s very precious to you..hopefully it will be fine, they say it’s normal a bit of bleed, pink discharge..have my fingers crossed for you. Good luck x

LucyLucyT · 02/12/2019 11:00

Phew! Scan was good, saw the little heart beating, quite clearly a tiny baby already! Measuring 8 weeks exactly which is what I am today. So relieved, just hope things stay okay now! Hope you are doing okay @fool11

fool11 · 02/12/2019 11:22

That’s amazing @LucyLucyT, really pleased for you! Congrats. I have my scan next Monday, really nervous.

LucyLucyT · 02/12/2019 12:08

Thanks so much, it's hard not be nervous but I'm sure you'll get a similar result, and it's a great moment to have :-D xx

LucyLucyT · 07/12/2019 07:55

@41trying hope are you getting on at your new clinic now?

@fool11 how are you feeling? I'm finding work hard going at the moment, so tired and I've had a cold which hasn't helped. Or heating is broken as well!

fool11 · 07/12/2019 08:59

Hi @LucyLucyT..sorry to hear you have a cold, I had it just after ET and it’s not nice. I’m ok, had a rough week, think got a mild food poisoning last Monday (dodgy egg sandwich I think..not sure why I ate it as so constipated so eggs would not help)..so barely ate last 5days, having headaches and feeling nauseous. Had a burning pain under my rib cage, central part and shooting cramps in upper stomach, under ribs..feel exhausted if honest. Having my 6w scan on Monday and really nervous, don’t have other symptoms, especially my boobs don’t feel sensitive like they were with first pregnancy..will see, but getting anxious. When is your next scan? Is it 12w one?

Hope all is well with you @41trying and @Violet180..did you start new treatment?

41trying · 07/12/2019 10:09

@morning all
Hope you start to feel better soon. I start buserlin tomorrow, it's been a long wait. New clinic seem great, I have also had a mock transfer to check everything before it starts. I only ever did natural cycle before so this is going to be so different and longer.
AFC was 11 and AMH was good so all fingers crossed to get to the transfer stage this time

Violet180 · 07/12/2019 10:37

@fool11 Hi, yes I have started another fresh cycle and am on day 10 of stims. A bit worried because they are growing slower than usual. The main bunch of follicles still only under 8mm. Everyone on forums recommended I wait a cycle before trying again. But I really felt that it was the only thing getting me through the hard time.

fool11 · 07/12/2019 12:17

Hope it will work for both of you this time. Can they adjust somehow your meds @Violet180 to stimulate the growth? I’m sure they know what they are doing..my follicles were growing slow and had to have extra 3days of jabs. Fingers crossed x

LucyLucyT · 07/12/2019 13:50

@fool11 sorry you are feeling a bit rubbish, good luck with your scan on Monday, try not to worry about the symptoms, I think they come and go anyway.

@Violet180 I was the same I wanted to crack straight on last time as well, fingers crossed your follicles pick up the pace soon, when is your next scan?

@41trying so pleased you are happy with your new clinic, hope the cycle goes well, give us an update now and then if you can :-)

41trying · 09/12/2019 19:31

@fool11 had did it go today?

fool11 · 09/12/2019 19:46

Hi @41trying..thanks for checking on me..it went well, there was a heartbeat , tiny little thing, amazing what nature does. Still have a long way to go but we are one step closer, 2m ago I never thought this would be happening. How are you getting on with your jabs? How long do you have to take them for?

41trying · 09/12/2019 20:09

@fool11 well that's great news, have to think positive.
I'm only 2 day in. I have to phone for scan when AF arrives which they say could be anything from 1-2 weeks, then from there I will start stims. So it's all a awaiting game I suppose.

fool11 · 09/12/2019 20:19

Didn’t realise that long protocol takes so long ...sounds silly what I just wrote, I know..hence the long protocol. So presume after AF arrives, you then go for a scan on d1,2 or 3 and then you start stims like in short one..the rest of it should be similar if all goes well and as planned..fingers crossed you won’t have to wait too long for AF so you can start soon.
I’m trying to be positive, we got further than expected but don’t want to get too excited as worried it can all turn wrong like last time, just can’t stop worry.

41trying · 10/12/2019 12:43

@fool11, bless you, I totally understand.
Yes after AF arrives scan then stims. It has felt like forever already to be fair, but hey ho, need to try and get further than EC

LucyLucyT · 10/12/2019 16:24

Great @fool11 lovely news about your scan, it's so exciting to see it!
@41trying you are probably more keen for AF than ever before! Good luck x

fool11 · 10/12/2019 17:54

Thanks @LucyLucyT. How are you doing?

41trying · 10/12/2019 18:05

@LucyLucyT, well I would like it to come Monday, that will fit on ha ha.
Hope your doing ok

LucyLucyT · 10/12/2019 20:13

Thanks both, I'm okay, still nauseous a lot of the time as well as tired and can't shift an annoying cold! But overall I think things are going okay :-)

41trying · 29/12/2019 18:39

@LucyLucyT and @fool11, I hope you both are well.
Finally have my scan tomorrow and if all ok I will start stims

fool11 · 29/12/2019 20:12

Hi @41trying, I’m well (kind of) thank you, don’t want to moan about nausea, and other things..I’m having an appointment with midwife on Tuesday, and a 10w scan and harmony test next Monday, feeling nervous about it as last time I went, 2y ago, we found out there was no heartbeat. Glad to hear you are ok, hope your scan will be fine and the lining nice and thin ( I think it needs to be thin before you start stims?) what meds/stims will you be on?

41trying · 29/12/2019 20:27

@Fool11 glad to hear, I'll keep all finger crossed for you.
I've been on buserilin since 8th Dec. Went for scan 24th and lining wasnt thin enough, so back tomorrow. Feels like forever as only ever done short protocol before.
Hoping to start with Menopur tomorrow. Then I will take them for 7-10 days before EC
