Hi @CloudSway thanks for asking. Sounds like your partners doing really well. How are you? I'm doing okay. Have been reading but didnt want to post too much. I've had my booking appointment and waiting for 12 week scan date now.

@squirrelnutkins1 well done on the work issue. Noone likes confrontation but it's always rewarding to be assertive and clear the air.
@GreyC sounds positive!! Fx for you.
@VenusStarr I have been thinking of you and glad you left your appointment hopeful. It's good to have a plan.

Im fed up today took an opk last nite and it was + meaning af is due on a fri and the clinics closed over the weekend! They said i need a scan on cd2 or 3 thats sat and sun i just feel like giving up at this point its been about13months since we ve been told we need IVF and still no meds!! I just want to get on with it, i know alot of u ladies r feeling the same i wanted to have the 1st round done by the end of the yr so i can move on one way or another fuck2019 seriously!

@CloudSway It was my first ever blood test, it wasnt too bad! 😊 I did try and ask questions but the nurse was in a bad mood and wasnt very helpful, she just kept telling me it's a long process and she didnt know 😔

I've had my appointment through this morning for my ultra sound its the 17th October.
I've been reading alot about the smep technique which we are going to try this month!

Well we got the results but only when I chased them up, it wasn't until I told them we were private that they jumped into action (as if that should matter!).
Wish I hadn't bothered, they are awful, worse than before. Our only hope is that due to me having af then us thinking you needed 5 days abstinence, it ended up being 2 weeks of abstinence in the run up, which may have slightly skewed it. They have recommended another test with 3 day abstinence instead, which is on Monday. This weekend is our window but tbh we are both feeling so crap about it that I don't think we're fussed about missing the pressure of dtd. We had an oxidative stress test on it as well and no idea of the units, but apparently a good score is less than 1.5 and DH was 17.2. It is highlighted in red and says clinically significant....!
Feel so completely gutted, especially after all DHs hard work too. Urgh.

@CloudSway my DP has a diabolical SA (it’s mfi anyway!) but we had abstained for similar to you and the next time it was four days it’s was much better - not great obviously as having ICSI but better. I’ve told DP he needs to sort his business out three days before he has to go to the clinic for his official one hah!!

@2fingers22018 reply was very good and polite and took me through it very step by step. Constantly having migraines at the minute which is unbareable

@cloudsway sorry your results were bad!two weeks is rather a long time the usual is 2-5 days I think so hopefully next time they will be better! Not sure what the stress test shows so can’t help you there!

@greyc 10days seems like an awful long time I was scanned every other day and I think o only had meds for 12dauys in total cant remember exactly why do they wait that long? Drink lots if your not at least 2l and they should go in a few days!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I only have 12 days worth. I think because I have low ovarian reserve they stim you for a good chunk first. 8 days to go today.
Thanks; I forgot my water bottle today so was having glasses but as a teacher it’s not ideal. I’ve been making sure I drink plenty

@greyC @finallytakingtheplungewithivf thanks, fingers crossed you're right. Its good to know your OH improved with a shorter run up to the test, I really really hope thats the case.
@soph1974 sorry you had a grouchy nurse. Sometimes the blood nurses just do everything so maybe tgey wouldn't have been a reliable soyrce to get answers from anyway lol. Good luck with your scan in october

@2fingers22018 you'll be changing your name to 2fingers22019 the way its going! Seriously though, surely that doesnt mean you skip a cycle completely, if you tell them in advance can they account for an additional day? Or can you just pay for the scan at a private place that might be open? Not ideal I know but could be better than missing out altogether, surely with this whole thing being time sensitive they must have ways round it... dont write off the year yet!! 🤞

@CloudsSway i think ive got totally confused😳the 1st time i was to phone it says call on monday if u get af at the weekend nxt cycle(of af) it has a phone number for nurses at the weekend but they didnt explain it properly at the appt cause my OH was confused aswell lol i just feel soo stressed out atm which doesnt help not in a gd mindset at all i just feel like running away to a desserted island ive got alot of personal stuff goin on work is soo stressful AND the IVF im just like cmon give me a break in one area lol i 2nd what everyone else said about ur OH SA i know its easy for us to say but if u dnt ejaculate in the right timeframe it will def affect your results so i would honestly take that as a false reading x

Do you think it is because they have minimal staffing at the weekend and you don’t actually have to do anything at the start of cycle, you are just informing them..... so it can wait until the Monday?

Hi everyone, sorry haven't caught up properly, just popping on to say scan this morning confirmed the miscarriage is complete 💔 think it's just starting to sink in, that combined with my hormones dropping leaves me feeling really sad, been crying a lot today.

Dh and I have decided to stop ttc for now, at least until I've had the hysteroscopy. I just can't face getting pregnant and losing it again. Quite looking forward to having non-ttc sex, although no looking forward to condoms 😑 it is the right decision but it hurts, we've been trying for a baby for nearly 2 years, but I think my body and my heart need a break 💔❤️

I'll still be lurking and cheering you guys on though 😘 xxx

@2fingers22018 - yes, but if you are day 1 on a Saturday, and phone Monday morning, they will bring you in for a scan that day, or the Tuesday if Sunday.

@VenusStarr - I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage but hope the scan today can start to bring some closure. Hope your wait for a hysteroscopy isn't too long, and you can enjoy some "not tttc time"

@2fingers22018 don’t panic I’m sure the clinic will sort it maybe just ring and say af is likely to appear on a Friday what do I do?

So af has turned up in an almighty fashion comple with being a vile human to my dh all weekend and today awful crams and literally the heaviest flow ever (sorry tmi) but on the plus I hope this means when I do got my scan on Thursday I will be able to start the progynova and be restored to a less hormonal mess!

Thank you for thinking of me @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I'm not sure how I am to be honest. I flit between relief that the miscarriage is over, then guilt for feeling that way, then sadness that we're in limbo because we aren't trying, then a bit of excitement that I can focus on my wellbeing for a bit but then I feel scared for the future in case it never happens to us 😢 the GP has signed me off for another 2 weeks, hoping I can try and get into a routine. How are you getting on? Xx

@2fingers22018 yeah, I'd second ringing the clinic to ask what the procedure is, it must happen all the time so I'm sure they'll give you advice.

@VenusStarr big hugs. Hope you are managing to rest. All your feelings are bound to be all over the place but in the words of my ex counsellor, it's ok to feel whatever you feel.

We've just had a weekend away so I'm feeling fat and tired today! Clinic appt tomorrow. Got to go alone as DH is working away ☹️

I always like it better when its a morning appt to get it over n done with let us know how u get on fx they can give u a better idea of timescales etc or better still the letrazole works(sorry i know ur on ovulation meds but not 100%sure if thats the right name)💜

@2fingers22018 I remember you saying that you had a number I just meant if you ring up to day and say this and then they can put your mind at ease before you get to that point might make it a bit less stressful if you know in advance what they will do!
My clinic is closed at the weekends but are always working as they can’t always predict when ec is required and people might need extra scans so hopefully won’t be too much of a problem for you!

@VenusStarr your bound to be all over the place and your allowed to feel all those things! I know what you mean about getting excited about something and then feeling guilty about it! I have those moments to ❤️

I had my first acupuncture session last night not sure of o enjoyed it or not lol anyway she got lots of information about my situation so she is going to come up with s treatment plan not sure how far we get as hopefully transfer will be in about 2-3 weeks but at least I feel like I’m doing something as my eating habits have gone down hill again it’s so annoying lol!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF It's def a good feeling to know you're doing all you can to help, even if it's just for relaxation purposes.
I've had three lots of reflexology and enjoyed them but not sure if I can justify spending any more on it.
I've been in touch with a lady who does the fertility reflexology and she suggested a treatment a week until my cycles are regulated. She offers a little discount for block booking but it's still expensive, £35 before the discount and about £30 after.
If we end up with IUI I'd imagine I'd still be on the stimulants so my cycles will be regulated that way so I may just go for relaxation purposes.
