Hi all

Well, I’ve gone ahead and done something silly. I tested at 2dp5dt and it is a stark negative, not even a hint.

I know it’s early (less than 48 hours) but I feel like I’m already out as it’s 7 days before period would be due and all these tests say they have like 99% accuracy 6 days before and all this. Plus all the stuff you read online. Why do I do this to myself?!

On my first cycle (pregnancy, mmc at first scan) I didn’t test until beta and it was torture. But this might turn out to be worse!

Has anyone out there had a bfn at this stage and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? I need some hope!

I don't have any dates yet. I'm waiting for AF after a 2nd MC, we're also doing some tests and pgs testing our remaining embryos so it all depends on that really. It might be a FET or a fresh cycle (if no embryos are normal), hopefully soon, I hate all the waiting, it drives me mad.

@Eggcellent29 not weird at all! God knows ivf sends us all a little crazy in the end!

Below is the line progression for last few days although I've removed the evening ones so just showing the morning ones. Today's does look darker but did a Boots digital at lunchtime and it came up "not pregnant" but I know they are much less sensitive than FRER. I don't think I'll be able to relax until see a positive digital one

@LillyLeaf Oh my days it is just the worst!!!! And every time you finish waiting for the next appointment they just give you something else to wait for! You’re whole life has to go on pause, which can make it so hard to take your mind off of things! I am so very sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Nobody should ever have to experience that pain, and to have it twice is just awful. If you ever want to talk, just lemme know ❤️ Good luck with your cycle! I asked them to induce my last period because I didn’t want to wait 😂 although it probably only saved me a few days in all honesty

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Oh yes, deffo getting darker as the days go by!!! The lunch time one probably said no because the hcg was too low in your wee due to it being the middle of the day?

I haven’t taken a digital one :/ all frer apart from a normal Tesco one yesterday which was positive, but I have no idea how sensitive they are. I think I’ve managed to attach a photo 😂 bottom one was this morning so there is about 14 hours between them but it doesn’t look darker :(

@Eggcellent29 wow yours are soooo clear! I'm still not getting my hopes about mine. I was hoping for more obvious progression but I know that doesn't mean much - the last really good line progression I had ended up being ectopic so you can never tell x

My first pregnancy had high hcg at the first beta so maybe I’m just one of those women who has higher numbers? I think the safe variations are in the hundreds in the first few weeks!

I am terrified of an ectopic pregnancy or a chemical - probably because they are the main things that can go wrong that I haven’t already experienced! If you don’t mind me asking, when/how did you find out the pregnancy was ectopic?

Course I don't mind.....I got a BFP around 10DPO and the line progression with FRER was really good - switched to clearblue with weeks and again they increased bang on schedule. Then one day just before 6 weeks I just had this "feeling" something wasn't right - I had a couple hours of niggling one sided pain but it wasn't that bad but managed to get a referral to an EPU a few days later due to history of miscarriage. They did a blood test and my hcg was 3500 but they couldn't see anything in my uterus - I had to go back the next day for a shot of a drug called methotrexate which is basically a cancer drug which stops cell division but my hcg went up to over 5000 and then i ruptured anyway 4 days later. The pain was horrendous - so painful I couldn't stand or walk - I lasted through the night as wasn't sure whether it was just the medication working but then got myself into a&e at 6am and was in emergency surgery 30 mins later when they realised I had massive internal bleeding. Having had both miscarriages (one at 12 weeks where I found out at the first scan) and an ectopic I would say the only real difference was the niggly one sided pain. Im under the care of both an ectopic and miscarriage clinic now so I get scanned fortnightly from 6 weeks so 🤞 I get that far with this one

I've also had a chemical before...very little/slow line progression- I paid for a private HCG test about 18DPO and it was only 45 and then I got my period a few days later

I am so sorry to hear that. It sounds absolutely horrific. You’re so strong for keeping on with your journey, I have everything crossed that it works out this time!! Not long until your beta now!

Hcg level came back at 75.4 so definitely pregnant and doesn't look to be a chemical! - I would have a liked to have got over 100 but have booked a blood test on Saturday (won't get results till Monday) to see if it is doubling x

I had a 5d transfer, tested negative on day 6 and 7 post transfer and he is now 3 . Good luck xxxxx

I did a digital and it said ‘pregnant 1-2’ and I am 9dp5dt. My heart rate has gone down by 2bpm overnight as well. I’m 99% sure it’s a chemical for me and I am beyond heartbroken

@Eggcellent29 don't panic too much yet - I only got 1-2 weeks yesterday 9dp5dt too -
The heart rate thing might be affected by loads of things 🤞🤞

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I got my results they are 67 so am now worried after what you said yesterday! Sam told my DH that it was ok though but am still panicking! It’s so stressful!

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Thank you ❤️ I think my Fitbit might be playing up a bit cos looking at the chart, it’s only gone under 71bpm twice when I was asleep at like 3am, so 70bpm seems a bit low when it’s been over 71bpm for every other minute! Maybe I’m just stressing cos the big day is tomorrow

My clinic only wants to see 50, and that’s at 10dpt so it sounds like your results are good?

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I think I spent most of the night on google! - a lot of American sites say in a frozen transfer (did you have one or a fresh one?) they want anything over 50

I've not tested today and going to wait to see what Saturdays blood test shows - I'm hoping for anything over 300 as that would be good doubling time x

There is such a variance in what clinics say is a "good" number! I'm thinking that the second/third blood test results will be more important - although they're not included with my clinic so will have to pay for them x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I had a frozen transfer! Trying to decide if I’m going to book one somewhere! I’ve not tested and won’t bow till next wed on a digital yo see if it says 2-3 on it I think

I'll ring Create in a bit to get booked in - I have to be scanned by the miscarriage clinic and ectopic clinic at Heartlands starting from 6 weeks and then every 2 weeks after that so I was just trying to decide which one to do first! Ive booked in at Heartlands for Friday 12th and will maybe see about doing Create on the 10th?
