Hi all

Well, I’ve gone ahead and done something silly. I tested at 2dp5dt and it is a stark negative, not even a hint.

I know it’s early (less than 48 hours) but I feel like I’m already out as it’s 7 days before period would be due and all these tests say they have like 99% accuracy 6 days before and all this. Plus all the stuff you read online. Why do I do this to myself?!

On my first cycle (pregnancy, mmc at first scan) I didn’t test until beta and it was torture. But this might turn out to be worse!

Has anyone out there had a bfn at this stage and gone on to have a successful pregnancy? I need some hope!

Thanks all x

I was told by my consultant to drink lots of full fat milk so I hope there is some truth in it!

Did you ladies try acupuncture? I found it helped me to relax a lot. Not sure if it impacted the cycles but it deffo plumped up my lining as it was always thicker in my pre cycle scans than it had ever been during diagnostic scans

@Eggcellent29 with the Diet Coke/all soda drinks it's apparently to do with the aspartame in it and there was a study done in America about success rates of women who did/did not drink it but it doesn't say how much they were drinking?

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I read about the full fat milk thing on another forum and just thought I would try it - since I changed up whole routine and added the milk I've had 2 BFPs in 3 months(1mc 1 ectopic) but that's more than I've had in years so could just be coincidence - I think it's to do with so many "healthy" lifestyles actually stripping out too much of the things we actually
Need to keep everything working x

@Eggcellent29 glad everything is going well for you! I guess I try plan by stopping drinking, hardly any caffeine loads of water and am back at the gym as of today!

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Well like you say being in short protocol has its benefits as it’s doesnt take to long!! Interesting about the milk should I be drinking more? And what full fat I only have skimmed in my coffee?

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Thank you :) I am enjoying it, but still have some times where I’m almost hysterical with anxiety. I think it will always be that way tbh

I never knew that about Diet Coke!!! I wonder why that is??

I used to HATE milk so found that hard - now I drink a litre a day without thinking 😂 although tbf I make a decaf hazelnut iced latte for each morning (half decaf coffee half milk) and that helped a lot!

Wow that is fast! Did you do a short protocol last time?

Ah wonderful news!! Hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit and tentatively start enjoying being pregnant now?

I didn't really drink anyway so no alcohol doesn't bother me and I switched to decaf when I first started ttc and never gone back so for me I've just cut back on Diet Coke/Coke Zero as read that it can reduce Ivf success by as much as 25% but I only had two cans a day when I'm at work anyway. I already switched to Proceive Max and coq10 after my last egg collection showed egg quality wasn't great and drink more full fat milk but other than that it's probably getting prepared emotionally rather than physically! I'm doing short protocol mild ivf though so whole process is over in less than 14 days!

Thank you for checking on me ladies and sorry it’s taken me so long to reply!!

The scan showed bubba measuring on time and heartbeat still hammering away 🥰 seems that the spotting was all a big fuss over nothing!

How do you guys prepare for a cycle? First one I gave up drinking, coffee etc months before (over Christmas, was hell) and the second one I only lived clean from the day I started meds

@Eggcellent29
I know it's so hard to stay positive - if it's any consolation my one successful pregnancy out of them all I had zero symptoms until maybe 14 weeks - I was desperate to feel
Something/anything to know everything was progressing

I'll be keeping everything crossed for you! Let us know how you get on!

Keeping busy is good - keeps mind off other things although it's weird at the same time it almost like nothing ever happened - I've booked in to see my ivf consultant next Friday for a catch up and plan what to do next and then I think the hospital arranged memorial service will be the week after that x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Tomorrow! I don’t know what to do with myself. I’ve basically convinced myself that I’ve had another missed miscarriage. I’ve lost pretty much all symptoms. But only one way to know for sure, I guess.

Glad to hear you’ve been keeping busy! Are you glad to be back?

Hello hun! I know it’s probably a silly question but how are you? Did you manage to let your hair down a bit on your holiday?

I am a massive ball of stress and sweating like a pig!!! 🙈

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted

I’ve got a scan next week. I’m dreading it - it’s at the same time I was told my first baby had died. Going through that again, but this time having seen the heartbeat, would be really, really difficult to come back from.

I’m glad to hear you can cycle again soon :) how are you feeling in yourself? Good you can work from home too! That’s great of the clinic, last time ours called once but that was it!

I know the feeling! I don't think the worry every really goes away! Are you going to have any more scans to check up on anything?

I'm ok - working from this week to keep busy until stitches start dissolving and then I'll go back to work properly next week. My clinic have been ringing to see if I'm ok which is nice and I've said we ll look at doing another cycle in September hopefully x

Hiya! That’s so nice of you to check in with me :)

Honestly, I’ve been a wreck. I am terrified of another missed miscarriage and can’t seem to think of anything else. My heart rate keeps dropping and I’m like a woman possessed.

How are you feeling? X

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Yes it is shit had a little cry but am ok! Am currently on my way down south for a holiday with family so while it’s not great timing it’s good that I’ve got this to look forward to just enjoy sometime away and I do already have a dd so she can give me some big hugs to! Yes I think it will be around 6-8 weeks maybe a bit longer as we are away at the end of Aug aswell but will see how we can fit it all in!

Oh wow they do a funeral I guess like you say it will hopefully help you! Xx

Oh @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I'm sorry it's just all so crap isn't it but if there is a positive it's that implantation did happen so hopefully that should rule out any implantation problems in the future and all being well you can go again with another transfer in about 6-8 weeks?

I'm ok thanks Hun still up and down. Just focusing on day by day. Next bit to get over will be the funeral the hospital arranges in about a month - standard procedure at Heartlands where a heartbeat is detected. As awful as it is going to that it will help bring closure hopefully x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Wel last suspected no baby it took two to confirm and while they could see a small something it wasn’t anywhere near what it should be they gave me the choice to continue meds and come back for another scan or stop so we are stopping them as with all the tests I’ve done as well I think it’s for the best! X
How are you today? X
