Thanks, @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF . Wow, FET on Mon – exciting days ahead! I hope you get lots of rest this weekend! Can I ask, on which CD did you trigger and Monday would be CD...? My last 2 FETs were triggered on CD14 and 15, transferred on CD21 and 22, respectively. My doc says we're do it earlier this time. I believe it should have been so in the first place.
I'll be on a low dose of Femara too as he wants to be sure that I ovulate.
I'm really excited for you, as I'm sure everyone here is! Be sure to tell us all about it. Have a great weekend!

@squirrelnutkins1 I'm so sorry about your mc. XXX I hope you're feeling better now. Though mine was early, I was dismayed to watch the second line fade into nothing. I, too, had months of waiting time in between each cycle, during which I would indulge in activities like hiking, running. Hoping for the best for you this time around!

Thanks, @Kelly199 ! I'd love to be caught up on your journey too. Where are you at now? It's just amazing how supportive everyone is in here. Glad to have tapped into this resource!

Hi @MrsEminem
Oh, boy, that's quite a wait. How are you feeling about it? We too have a similar experience, in terms of waiting time. Saw a number of fert specialists before we were recommended the guy to see – which was another 2 months in wait. We began in Jan'18 and only got to see our doc end-Jul. The good thing was, we were in the midst of a packed schedule of moving and preparing to climb Mount Rinjani in Indonesia (we climbed a month before it erupted). It was a kickass schedule of hill after hill each week, adding to our camping gear and just being thankful for our health. I hope for you it's all good news from the point of touching base with your specialist. xx

@Bumpyroad84 thanks for the well wishes! I’m doing a medicated fet so no trigger for me! I was on buserelin injections for 4 weeks on the third week after my scan was confirmed that I was good to go I started progynova and then Tuesday after my 2nd scan I was told to stop buserelin and start with the progesterone pessaries and carry on with the progynova! Hope you have a great weekend too!

squirrelnutkins1 · 14/06/2019 19:24

Oh wow @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF that's soooo exciting!! So what are your weekend plans to make the time fly?!

@MrsEminem glad things are moving forward 👍🏻

@BumpyRoad84 Wow! You sound super energetic!! Sorry to hear about your mc too. Mine was early but still feels like absolute crap 💔 the girls on here were with me thru ttc, my first and only BFP, the mc and beyond. Great support network.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and that the weather picks up a bit. It's just been torrential rain here in the east mids 🙄 xx

@squirrelnutkins1 thanks you!! Erm visiting parents and have a my nieces birthday party to attend on Sunday so hopefully it will be fairly busy and the time will go quick!
Have you got any nice plans? I know I’m so sick of the rain!

Hope everyone else has a nice weekend too xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 14/06/2019 19:55

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I'm glad it's a busy one for you!! Seeing some friends maybe tomorrow and on Sunday. Nothing too exciting, bit skint after hols tbh!
Just waiting for OH to finish work and then we're gonna get cozy and watch a film x

Hi ladies, just checking in as ive not been feeling it lately.

Welcome newbies, the girls here are just such a great gang - wishing you all the best at your respective stages.

@BumpyRoad84 it sounds like you are a lot further ahead than most of us, prepare to be asked a thousand questions! (And that's just by me lol) Feel like I might be a full on idiot when I don't understand so much of the ins and outs of ivf. I'm getting there very slowly! Sorry about the previous attempts, and fingers crossed this one's the charm for you. Hope you're doing ok.

@MrsEminem sorry it's been a long journey for you so far, all the waiting is the worst. But great you have your next bit all lined up!

I'm really excited for you @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF, keep us updated and I've got everything crossed 🤗

@Kelly199 when do you see the nhs specialist? Great that you have a sneaky freebie, I had one just before I picked my clinic too lol. Hope you're doing ok, fx on the tww

@squirrelnutkins1 it's good to see you talking so much, how are you doing at the mo? Is it a sign you're doing better?

Hope everyone else is alright too, big hugs for each other and our ohs who struggle with father's day xx this is only the second since my dad died 16 months ago so I've got a whole cocktail of crappy feelings. But I'll be a bit more active once I get it over and done with, so speak to you all then xx

Kelly199 · 15/06/2019 07:57

@BumpyRoad84 I'm currently in the tww so have my fingers crossed, but not getting my hopes up!
Yes, everyone on here is so so lovely! It's nice to come on here for a chat with likeminded people! Xx

@CloudSway I'm not 100%. I had the letter a few months ago to say I was on the list and then I called up (I think about a month ago) to ask when the appt should be and they said it has on there now "within the next 3 months", so I think that would roughly be whilst I'm on my 5th clomid, but could obviously be before if they have the appts. Think it will work out well because I can discuss there then. Hopefully I will have good news before then, but if not, hopefully I can then be put on ivf waiting list! I'm ok thank you just keeping my fingers crossed!
How are you? Sorry about your dad and that you're feeling rubbish lately.
Will be my third since my dad died so I'm not looking forward either and of course with ttc it's a rubbish day too. Sending hugs ❤️❤️. Where are you in your cycle? Sorry, I really struggle to remember everyone's journeys xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF hope you're ok. More pessaries down, bless you! One day closer!!!! Xxx

@squirrelnutkins1 hope you enjoyed your film. Was it good? Hate looking for films lol. I'll scroll through for ages trying to find something good! Xx

Hope everyone else is ok and you all have a good day xx

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 15/06/2019 12:13

@squirrelnutkins1 what film did you go for? Xx
@CloudSway nice to see you back! Thankyou I will let you al know how it goes on Monday and there after! Big hugs to you I hope Father’s Day is to upsetting for you! Xx
@Kelly199 I’m good thanks s bit anxious and as I’ve stopped the injections I assume my ovaries are kicking back to life so am having some very interesting pains today! Pessaries are like second nature now and aren’t to bad apart from they make you quite windy 😳! How’s the tww any symptoms? Xx

GreyC · 15/06/2019 12:18

Hi Ladies! Things are moving along @Finallytakingtheplunge how exciting and everything crossed for you.
I’m having my FSH blood test on day 4 as my cycles are over weekends it seems so can’t gat day 2 and no one will blood test on a Saturday it seems! Hopefully it comes below 8.9!
Had a very busy week - ofsted came to visit for two days plus the rain I’m very glad it’s the weekend

squirrelnutkins1 · 15/06/2019 13:34

@CloudSway

Yeah I think I am doing a bit better. I feel like I'm coming up out the water x
Big hugs to you xx

@Kelly199 we're normally the same and then end up frustrated! We were more decisive this time for a change!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF hope you're not in too much pain. Sorry about the wind 🙊🤣
We watched the vanishing, based on a true story about lighthouse keepers in Scotland that mysteriously vanished with Gerrard Butler in. That sounds really boring and dorky but it was good 😂

@GreyC sounds a busy/stressful week! How are you managing with appointments and things? I've always heard it's virtually impossible to have time off in term time.

We've got a Nuffield Health gym/pool about 10 mins away so been on their website and got 2 free day passes so gonna do that this afternoon as a bit of a treat. Hope everyone else is ok and has a happy weekend xx

OP posts:
Kelly199 · 15/06/2019 13:58

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF hope the pains will ease off.
Glad the pessaries aren't too bad. Oh no 😂 I wouldn't worry though, it's bringing you one step closer!!
It's not too bad thank you. Just horrible as I can't shake this negative feeling it's going to be another unsuccessful month! I know I shouldn't think like that though! Only hot flushes, but I've had that throughout my cycle anyway, so obviously the Clomid! Just a few twinges here and there, but had those since I've been on clomid, so nothing to report lol xxx

@GreyC great news!! When is that, Monday?? Hope they will be good for you xx

@squirrelnutkins1 I know it's so annoying!! Hope you have good weekend too xx

GreyC · 15/06/2019 14:54

Yes it will be Monday. If it’s above il just have them done again on day 2 I assume. But when I had them done day 15 (mistake by gp) my FSH was 13 so hopefully it will be below.
It can be tricky but luckily I try to get morning appointments untill I’m ready to tell my boss and these are easier to manage

veeboo · 15/06/2019 17:25

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Just wanted to say hi to the newbies! Welcome. It's a lovely supportive thread.

@squirrelnutkins1 I am also east mids with a nuffield health nearby...I dont suppose you're in mapperley Nottingham? Obviously you dont have to say!

Kelly199 · 15/06/2019 17:59

@GreyC hopefully it will be below then..good luck! Yes, it is easier until you feel like you can share xx

@veeboo have a good weekend. Hope you're ok xx

CloudSway · 15/06/2019 22:09

@veeboo I went to uni in Nottingham, love it round there :)

@Kelly199 I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, and sorry to bring it up, im sure that doesn't get any easier like people bringing up baby stuff doesn't get easier. Thinking of you tomorrow, for all of the reasons xxhugsxx
oh no, how super vague to say you'll be seen within 3 months... fx you end up cancelling because you've caught lucky instead :) Its okay, it's so hard to keep track! I tested today expecting a smiley face but no ovulation yet so looks like a longer month. Im due back to clinic to start it all in september! Exciting but also terrifying if im honest, Im not keen on anything medical lol.

Not helped by @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF revelation about the pessaries 😆🙈 this is why I'm so glad I have this group, the consultant didn't mention that little nugget (pardon the pun) when she ran us through the next steps 😂 I'm so glad I found out now or my face would have been a picture.. Plus delighted that you've got used to them, and all I need to worry about is a bit of wind - thank goodness there's a bit of straight talking in here, you are ace!!

@squirrelnutkins1 Glad to hear it ❤ x oh, and the film sounds good, what was it called?

@greyC Ew, Ofsted, hope you've had a good weekend to recover

Btw I heard on the infertility section of reddit that the ladies there call the egg retrieval and growth part 'the hunger games' for your eggs, where the best ones win and go back in! Made me chuckle so thought I'd share....

veeboo · 16/06/2019 06:00

@Kelly199 sorry I missed the post about your Dad. It's been busy on here lately. Take care if yourself today. My mum died 12 years ago and i always find that such a tricky day. It will get easier to navigate, just make sure you put yourself first. Hope everyone has a good day and @finallytakingtheplungewithivf good flipping luck tomorrow!!

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 16/06/2019 08:13

@CloudSway 🙈😳😬 sorry for sharing lol I just wanted everyone to know what it’s all like I don’t think I’d prepared myself for how tough the process is! Like you say you don’t get told about all the other little bits like pessaries and so on until it gets to that part!! Don’t worry I will continue to share the experience over the next few weeks aswell as one as no one minds?

@veeboo thank you I’m very nervous this morning abfam going to practice the full bladder thing later on as I’m still worried about that 🙈

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 16/06/2019 08:21

Oh and p.s I did a pessary up the front last night as my stomach was a bit off have to say I’m sticking with the back door! Never thought I’d hear myself say that but I am 😬

squirrelnutkins1 · 16/06/2019 09:10

@GreyC glad you manage to get morning appointments 👍🏻

@veeboo No, but I LOVE Nottingham!

@CloudSway the hunger games 😂

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF the more honesty the better!! Sorry the front door wasn't too great! Def keep us posted, will keep checking while I'm at work tomorrow. So excited for you xx

OP posts:
veeboo · 16/06/2019 18:35

@finallytakingtheplungewithivf the full bladder terrifies me too! Hope tomorrow goes okay. Totally understand if you go quiet but we are here for you x

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 16/06/2019 18:42

@squirrelnutkins1 @veeboo thanks I have been busy so it’s not been to bad been a bit snappy but think that’s because I’m slightly anxious! My plan for the full bladder is no cup of coffee in the morning (only have one) as this always makes me wee! So will just have some water then a wee before we leave as it is about 45 min drive to the clinic and will start sipping some water on the way they said get there 20 mins before so might get there a bit earlier I mean it’s easier to drink more if I need to ive tried to research and seems about 500ml seems to be ok but I guess everyone’s bladders are different!!

Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend and thank you for the support it means a lot think I would of gone mad if I didn’t have this thread!! Xx

Kelly199 · 16/06/2019 18:47

@CloudSway it's ok. No need to apologise. Thank you. Hope you're ok too ❤️
I know, it is such a pain!! I'm hoping I'll be lucky and have to cancel though, like you said!! Xx

@veeboo sorry to hear about your mum 💔
Thank you ❤️ xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF good luck for tomorrow!!! So happy for you. Hope you're doing ok. Understandably excited and nervous!! Let us know how it goes ❤️ xx

Hope everyone is ok today. Hard day for everyone xx

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 16/06/2019 19:33

@Kelly199 sorry I must of missed that post too! Hope you’ve been ok today!!
