Hi @squirrelnutkins1 good to hear from you. Glad you had a nice break and that you had a good heart to heart. Good counselling has come quickly too.

I've also noticed that I'm being more honest with people about my feelings and when I'm p*ssed off. Maybe it's something about what we are all going through. I'm definitely more impatient but I also think it's good to be clear with people when they are overstepping! One of my mates the other day said the dreaded 'maybe you'll get twins' comment and I just immediately made it clear why that's not appropriate, not likely and not necessarily a good thing. Not like me at all!

Kelly199 · 13/06/2019 10:57

@squirrelnutkins1 I know what you mean as I can be the same lately. Probably because we're just so fed up and can't be bothered to take the crap anymore!! I'm nice to everybody, but I'm finding it hard to bite my tongue now when people are awkward or aren't very nice!!
Yes, hopefully it will help.

That's ok! I struggle to keep up sometimes too. I'm CD19 3DPO on clomid cycle 3 so another 3 left after this one. I'm on the waiting list to see the gynaecologist/fertility specialist too (assuming because I'd gone private, it hasn't registered so I was kept on the list!) I'm going to keep it though because by the time it comes around I'll be close to the end of the clomid, so hopefully I can discuss further options then. Saves me paying again! Xxx

Kelly199 · 13/06/2019 11:03

@veeboo I think it is!! All the anger and upset that's built up inside of us and we can't help but retaliate to someone's rubbish!!
Hope you're ok after that comment! Infuriated me when people come out with silly comments. I'm just straight with them now too.
How are you? Xx

veeboo · 13/06/2019 11:38

I'm alright @kelly199 probably because I am in the hope zone...cd8 now so should ovulate around cd16-18. Since I've been a bit more frank I've noticed people asking more sensible questions. So after the twins comment my friend has asked me exactly what IUI involves, and another who kept telling me to relax has stopped that and started asking about the facts. That makes things less irritating!

squirrelnutkins1 · 13/06/2019 11:40

Ah yes sorry. We were prescribed it at the same time I think. Still got mine so hoping they tell me it's ok to take at my next appt. think it's in a fortnight. Yeah def keep it, appts are like gold dust sometimes. Hopefully they will give you a plan when you see them... altho hopefully you won't need it 🙏🏻 @Kelly199

Ah yes the dreaded twin comment, I've had that before too @veeboo it's probably partially a lack of knowledge, people don't understand that ivf doesn't automatically equate to pregnancy/twins. That said, it doesn't make it any easier when people do say things like that 🙄 hugs xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 13/06/2019 11:57

Didn't see your other post @veeboo im glad the frankness has led to more sensible questions! Smile xx

Kelly199 · 13/06/2019 11:59

@veeboo have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼
I've ovulated CD16 last 3 months since I've been on clomid too.
Yes that's better. Nicer to be heard than to have them making comments without knowledge of anything to do with infertility and the affects it has on people!! 🙈 xx

@squirrelnutkins1 hopefully they'll give you the go ahead in a couple of weeks then. When will your next cycle be due to start after that then?
Yes, hopefully I won't need it, but it's there if I do. And you're right about the appts being like gold dust! That's why I'm not cancelling and will only do so if I have good news!! Xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 13/06/2019 13:35

I'll be CD23 on my appointment day so would only have to wait about 9 days to start, if that's the plan.
One part of me thinks they'll tell us to go away and try again for a year, but surely they wouldn't bother sending us an appt if that's the case.
Part of me just wants to go straight to IUI just because last time he said 4-6 months following my lap would be our best chance to conceive and we're now on month 5.

I'm getting quite a bit of anxiety over various things in life so just trying to not overthink things and keep myself calm! @Kelly199 xx

Hi @squirrelnutkins1 I just wanted to say that I think I remember @VenusStarr (sorry if I have the wrong person) being in the same position as you after similar circumstances and they didnt send her away for a year and picked up from where they'd left off.

We are going straight to IUI when we are ready because theyve told me that they wont give me clomid because I ovulate.

squirrelnutkins1 · 13/06/2019 17:00

Yeah it was her @veeboo let's hope my hospital is the same 🙏🏻 thanks for the encouragement.

Hope everyone is ok and managing with this silly weather! ☔️☔️☔️

@squirrelnutkins1 welcome back! Glad you had a nice few days away! Where abouts in Spain do you go? Sorry you had a down day but glad you had some heart to hearts I think holidays are always good for reconnecting and talking! Glad you have sorted your counselling even if the receptionist was rude!!
The pessaries are fine have stuck with the back entrance no mess and while uncomfortable for s few mins they soon disappear sorry for the over share 😂😂

squirrelnutkins1 · 13/06/2019 21:05

Thank you 😘 Yeah def good for reconnecting. I really enjoyed not having to think about work and I didn't look at my phone at all in the day time. Was a good mental break.

😂 no such thing as an over share on here! How long have you got to have them for? What are they for again? sorry to ask lol! @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF

Hi ladies!
My FET will be happening early July. Would love to join this thread for the support!
First cycle of IVF – first FET ended up with a chemical, second failed as well. This one in July will be my third attempt after a good 5 months of rest.

Kelly199 · 14/06/2019 08:45

@squirrelnutkins1 hopefully it will all go to plan for you.
Hope you're ok. It is difficult to stay calm sometimes going through what you are. Hopefully the counselling will help you xx

@veeboo it's good they've done that! I ovulated anyway, but still had the clomid. It was just later in the cycle, so I suppose at least the clomid has regulated it for me. Sometimes I wish they had just moved forward with something else though as the more months they are nothing, I'm thinking it isn't going to work for me and it's just a waste of time!! Xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF glad everything's going ok. Bet you're so excited and nervous!! The day you've been waiting for will finally be here!! Xx

Of course @BumpyRoad84 !! Welcome! They're all lovely on here and will give you loads of support whenever/wherever we can. Sorry about the failed FET's.
Won't be long for the third! Have you a date yet? Really hope this one will work out for you xx

Kelly199 · 14/06/2019 08:45

Hope everyone else is ok today xx

squirrelnutkins1 · 14/06/2019 09:08

BumpyRoad84 · 14/06/2019 09:20

Hi, and thanks @squirrelnutkins1 & @Kelly199!

No, still waiting for AF, which is due at the end of next week. We'll have a date by the end of the month. Monitoring really closely this time with the second opinion of another specialist in town.

Who is due their FETs in July? Sorry, this thread is reeeeally long! Lol

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 14/06/2019 09:35

@squirrelnutkins1 I have to do two a day from wed just gone till test day if I get a positive then I think I will have to continue till up to the 12th week of pregnancy and if negative then I can stop them! They are progesterone as the injections have basically shut down my ovaries I have to take progesterone and the progynova which is oestrogen so help thicken the lining and support pregnancy!

@Kelly199 I am getting super nervous and anxious but excited aswell it is going to be here super quick just need to keep busy at the weekend!! How are you?

@BumbyRoad84 welcome! Sorry for the failed gets fingers crossed for you this time

MrsEminem · 14/06/2019 09:40

Hi ladies can I jump in here with you.
Been ttc for 5 years+ now and just got referred to fertility specialists. Was told it's up to an 8week wait for appointment letter to come through then could be up to another 10weeks before we get seen. So 18week total, now I don't like to wish the time away but at the moment I just can't help it.

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 14/06/2019 09:41

@BumpyRoad84 it is only me doing a fet on this thread at the moment all the other lovely ladies are at various different points! My fet is planned for Monday it is my first one! I had a freeze all due to being high risk from OHSS

squirrelnutkins1 · 14/06/2019 09:47

@BumpyRoad84 ooh exciting then, getting closer!
We're all at different stages here tbh.
We're awaiting our fertility appointment in a couple of weeks to get a plan after a recent mc.
Yeah it's a long thread, this is the second one and the girls are so great on here x

OP posts:
Kelly199 · 14/06/2019 09:49

@BumpyRoad84 that's good. Hopefully you'll have good news this time!
We're all at different stages and sharing each other's experience with different things!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I know!! It has come around quick considering the initial wait!!
I know, it is hard though! Hope you're ok about it all. I'm ok thank you. In tww, so I'm impatiently waiting lol

@MrsEminem welcome!!
Sorry about the 5 yrs ttc! Such a hard journey. Glad you're now on a waiting list to be seen!
I know, waiting is the worst part!! Hopefully the letter and appt will come around sooner than expected!

squirrelnutkins1 · 14/06/2019 09:50

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF oh I see! There's so much to learn isn't there. We'll all be experts in reproduction by the end of this! So excited for you for Monday 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@MrsEminem welcome 👋🏻
Yep it's all a waiting game I'm afraid 🙄 but it'll be worth it in the end 🙏🏻❤️
Have you had any tests etc so far? Any clue what issues there may be? Xx

OP posts:
MrsEminem · 14/06/2019 10:13

@Kelly199 thank you yes will definitely be on post watch for the next 2 months until the letter arrives.
@squirrelnutkins1 oh yes the wait is a killer. We have had the initial tests done by the doctors, blood tests and DH has his SA done. Everything has come back as being normal. So we are as of yet classed as unexplained. Only thing there was that ment we had to wait a while for our referral to go through was I was slightly underweight so had to gain a stone then we had to have the tests redone as they have to be done within 3 months of referral.
But we are finally getting somewhere now at last yay.

FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF · 14/06/2019 14:43
