So we're nearly at 1000 posts.... setting this up ready for round 2 when the other is full.

Thank you @GreyC. Dh doesn't really rate / believe in complementary therapy. I messaged him after I got out and said I had a lot to ponder on and he replied 'from a foot massage?' :( he feels that because we're under the hospital they'll find the issue and fix it. Feeling massively overwhelmed.

That must be hard to try and be upbeat for your friend. I'm not sure I could do that. Definitely not at the moment. X

@VenusStarr sorry your appointment hasn’t helped! Just a question but how qualified is this person to be able to tell you about DH SA? Not suggesting they can’t was just curious that’s all! Hope your counselling goes ok xx

@veeboo I’m extremely lucky that my DP is really into spirituality: mediation and crystals etc. Although makes it hard sometimes as he believes in what will be will be and sometimes I want to moan about how unfair it is not always think positive.

Yes it’s quite difficult and I’m hoping she’s not pregnant from her first cycle - now how awful is that!!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF yes Long protocol and I think max drugs to get all my little follicles to grow and mature :))

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF thanks im gettin xcited aswell now they said my egg reserve blood levels (whatever u call it lol) are really high 40 sumthin im just nervous bout tellin my work now cause i ll need away for a lot of appts bloods scans etc just hoping their understandin they can b quite awkward a lot of the time..ooh cyprus sounds nice @GreyC they said protocol 1🤔dunno if thats short or long very confusing

@GreyC well hopefully I won’t be too far be hind you depending on when af shows and we will be on injections for some of the part together! Sounds like @2fingers22018 will be aswell be nice to have some injection buddies!

@2fingers22018 do you need to tell work? How far away is the clinic from work? But I guess it depends on when your appointments are so you get to choose times or do they just tell you? Do you know when in your cycle you’ll be starting it’s easier to work out if it’s long or short then I believe?

Hi guys, just have to pop on at work because I'm feeling very sorry for myself and there's no-one here today I feel I can talk to.

Someone just told me in strict confidence that she's pregnant, and even though she knows about me her main concern was when am I having ivf so we can come back on a work share after maternity leave..... on top of that I've lost my engagement ring, and I'm due on in the next couple of days which will no doubt be my 30th failed attempt. I'm normally pretty pragmatic, but I'm sitting in an office having a cry, and it just feels very lonely.

Pleased I can read something uplifting (Thanks for the update @2fingers22018!) and I'm sorry to the few of you struggling, it makes me feel that little bit less isolated knowing we've all had days like this xxx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF yh sadly i dnt want to but because im nhs i just need to take whatever they can give me appt wise fx it works out alrite not gonna lie its stressing me out a bit dnt think theyl pay me if i take time off..they told me to fone the 1st day of my period my injections start day 2or3 of my cycle is that short?

@CloudsSway stay strong hun hugs as cheesy as it sounds we all know how u feel ive been there cryin in a loo at work its the pits but ur not alone x💗

@2fingers22018 yes sounds like short to me as that’s what I had to do aswell! Yes it is a bit of pain if you just get told when your appointment is hopefully they won’t be to inconvenient! Couldn’t you just say you have so gynae issues not really a lie but sauces you from telling them about the ivf

@CloudSway that person sounds like an idiot. I hope you kindly told her where to go but if not let's work up some things you can say if she brings it up again?

When I first read your post I was struggling to think of anything positive but I just got home to flowers from a close friend just to say she is thinking of me. I nearly cried. I told her what's happening recently although she did know we were trying a long time ago. She has even had a baby in that time but she was so kind and such a good listener. It's really made me realise how loved we are.

At the end of term a very good friend who I also work with left me a post it and flowers saying thanks for supporting her with work even tho I have so much going on. I love little things like that :)

@GreyC it's a bonus if telling people I think. Some people are clearly clueless but some just do their best even though they don't know what to say and it's really humbling. I've had cramps for the last few hours. So I'm eating comfort food and having a glass of wine. I know not ideal in the tww but I just can't deal with the idea its a sign of AF!

Sounds perfect- I’m trying really hard to not ‘put my life on hold’

I’m due AF Friday but I haven’t had any cramps yet so probably more likely be Saturday as I am a day or two out usually. Had some weird tingly pains last week but I did a test Sunday and it was negative so I know it’s just a waiting game now - then onto the big ICSI :))

That might have been early to test @GreyC. Keep us updated. Will be thinking of you. My AF isnt due until the 8th but I ovulated late and am expecting a weird cycle

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF the annoyin thing is my boss is a man so either will be awkward talking about to him, i think when u bring up anything to with periods they instantly cringe wish he was a woman would be easier! Oh well hopefully it is short how long did u have to take the injections for i know everyones different? Did u get emotional with all the hormones?

@2fingers22018 I know it’s awkward but I’d say that as like you say they cringe and won’t ask lol! Oh gosh feels like ages ago I think it was around maybe 12 days it was slightly longer then what we thought but I was in the lowest dose due to my high risk of ohss! I get quite bad pmt anyway so I think I was probably around the same I think the only thing that made it worse for me was how uncomfortable the bloating can get so I think it just made me Moan a lot more.

Ekkk also very nervous about my telephone consultation this morning but ever to know what we going to do and if there are any changes to the meds

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF thanks gd to know do u know when theyr phonin? (roughly) so u wnt need injections this time will u? Or am i being naive i know ul stil need meds to prepare the lining of ur womb. Im not due my period until 18/19 days away so ive got more waiting lol

@2fingers22018 at 9 so not long!! Yes will still need to injections have to take buserelin from day 21 of cycle to shut down my ovaries then once af has been again I will have a scan to make sure lining is thin and then can start the oestrogen tabs and then I think it’s about a week later 2nd scan to check lining if all good stop injections start pessaries think it was about 5 week process last time! My af isn’t due for another 10 days of its playing ball that is!!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF its soo much to take in isnt it? Let us know how ur call goes it is exciting aswell to finally get on with it. Your such a strong person everything youve been through your honestly making me believe i can get through all this x

@2fingers22018 yes it is so feel a lot better this round as I know what’s what! So just got off the phone pretty much the same as last time just when o start the pessaries I will be on three and not the standard two! Also as I have two day 3 embies I have agreed to thaw them and let them go to day 5 to see if we have any more top quality ones if they are will transfer one and then refreeze the other one! Thankyou for your kind words it is tough but some how you just keep going! next step is to make an appointment with the nurse to go through meds and the process again and consent forms and them I’m ready and waiting to get started!
