So we're nearly at 1000 posts.... setting this up ready for round 2 when the other is full.

@veeboo glad your back! It’s good to talk time out when you need to! It’s w very stressful time so I’m sure your dp understands and good for you emailing the clinic and getting some answers! I take pregnacare conception and so did DH for men! I was eating healthy but kind of fell off the wagon it’s hard when I feel meh most of the time but did do well before hand so well done! Glad you have a month to work towards!
Next for me is I’ve to up my does of progynova on Saturday to three tablets a day and then my next scan is Tuesday so hopefully the can confirm transfer but I think I have to have one final scan before so might have another on Friday! Xx

Hi @finallytakingtheplungewithivf! Fingers crossed for you. Are you finding ways to keep occupied? Have you a plan for the tww?

Yes good to have a cycle to aim for. Ours is medicated IUI so less complex but they may say we are full come back on the next one. That wouldnt be so bad though.

@veeboo thankyou! Well I have an exam tomorrow so that has kept me busy for the last few weeks!!! I guess once tomorrow is over it’s no to long to wait till tues to see what is going on oh and forgot I think I can stop my injections Tuesday if everything going ok but means I have to start the dreaded pessaries! As for the tww wait I hadn’t even thought about it but am going to have to find something to keep me busy I am going to order some tests this weekend I think in prep but then I’m also worried it will just encourage me to test early and not sure how I feel about that yet!! I need to find out if I’m allowed to go to the gym in the tww wait even if it’s jist to do some light exercise to keep my stress levels down!

I don’t know much about iui what happens with that? Xx

I'm sure light exercise will be fine. Write down all your questions to ask so you have all the info you need.

IUI is basically artificial insemination but they do it on a medicated cycle so with gonadotrophins to ensure I ovulate and create the right environment and scans to monitor and work out when to inseminate at the right time. We go back and forth about when to have it but I think actually it will take some pressure off DP so think we'll try and get on Sept/October. We get 3 tries before referral to ivf.

DH is coming with me and he is the question asked if if they are silly ones he’s all over it! Bit your right I should as there is always one I forget!

Ahhhh ok makes sense similar to ivf then with the drugs and scan just done inside the body rather then out! Well I have everything crossed for you and in the mean time you can get prepared xx

Thanks @finallytakingtheplungewithivf. Just wondering when you took pregnacare did it do anything to your cycles? I've been putting off taking it because I've heard it makes some women's cycles longer

@Kelly199 the hysteroscopy with a camera but they will remove any fibroids if they can. Although my scan and the hsg showed my uterus is OK and they aren't pushing into the cavity. It is under local anesthetic.

Thanks @veeboo, I did say to dh I was going to leave feedback but just wanted to get out of there yesterday.

Spent the afternoon watching stranger things with dh. Still pretty uncomfortable this morning :( I took some of dh's high strength cocodamol twice yesterday and it didn't help at all. He was discharged with oromorph but I was too scared to try that. (I know you shouldn't take other people's medication but paracetamol and ibuprofen did nothing).

@veeboo! If anything it made them a bit shorter! Makes your wee bright yellow to! Maybe just give it a go see how you get on or at least just take folic if your not already! If it makes cycles longer stop and try something out

@VenusStarr Hope it will be ok when you have it and they manage to do what's needed. As everything looked ok, they're obviously just doing this step to try and give you a better chance, are they? Try not to worry about it. I know it's easier said than done!!

Thanks girls. Appointment went ok. It was more to see if any changes need to happen at work than anything else.

She gave me a couple of booklets on sleep so will have a look at them to see if I can improve my sleeping. I always feel tired but kinda thought everyone does nowadays!

She's suggested self referral for counselling. I may wait until my fertility appointment as I think I saw a counselling service there. I'm wondering if it'd be more specific and focussed rather than just general.

Anywho, I'm going to have a break from the thread while I'm away and possibly after for a bit. Need to get my head sorted.

Lots of positivity and hugs to everyone and I'll catch up on all the news sometime soon xxx

One of my best friends sent me a lovely text to tell me she was pregnant earlier. I know she took great care to make sure I didnt get baby bombed in person or a group chat. It was a surprise but she had a miscarriage before her first so I am glad she is healthy. I felt positive about that but I cant help thinking now that it's never going to me. That's 2 in a week now. I've never found it this hard.

Looking At ivf clinics for our ‘one go’ at it. We either have Nurture or create (both East Midlands)
I’ve found myself getting really cross tbh. My DP doesnt drink at all; doesn’t smoke and never has! exercises we eat very healthy and I’m gutted for him. There must be some internal reason why his count is poor :(

Hi @GreyC I'm sorry you're feeling angry. Are you able to ask them what might be the cause? What a shitty situation. How is your DP doing? I am also East Midlands and if it gets to that also only get one ivf.

I tried to ask them but they said it’s every chance it could happen still but intervention will be needed probably. Didn’t seem interested in why his SA is all so different.

@GreyC that's what we are here for and I have been on the emotional rollercoaster this last week too, its exhausting. What are you doing this week?

I want to be positive today. Going for lunch with friends including the one who just told me she is pregnant soni am a bit apprehensive but I'm sure will be okay. New diet has gone well this week and i lost a few pounds which is a bonus. Glad you managed to relax.

@veeboo how was your lunch with friends?

Now exam is over going to get back on the healthy eating as I’ve really fallen off the wagon and also think the meds are making me put on weight!! I am too scared to step in the scales however everything is supper tight so I know I have!!
Am now up to three tablets a day had the typical headache yesterday and a bit of one today but am feeling absolutely drained not sire if I’ve over done it this weekend but then only went in to town yesterday and had a mooch round for a few hours and then went to the gym today but feel completely wiped out?! Hoping that tuesdays scan brings good news for my lining as an struggling with how physically and emotionally draining this part seems to be for me! Worse then !

It went well thanks @finallytakingtheplungewithivf and I told them where I am upto with things.

If I can be bold for a minute...now is not the time for you to be worrying about your weight! You need to be giving yourself a break. Try and keep healthy but being as comfortable as possible is the most Important thing right now. Good luck for Tuesday! Keep us updated.

I'm feeling quite tense about things generally but uve booked an accupuncture session to give that a whirl. I suppose either way at the end of this cycle I have my holiday. And I'm going to see the spice girls tomorrow!

@veeboo thanks I know your right it’s just all my clothes are tight and it makes me feel urgh! I am hoping that once I start eating better I’ll start feeling myself!

Hi everyone, sorry I've been quiet. My nan passed away on Friday morning :( I'm glad she's out of pain now. I've not had much chance to catch up but will try to.

I was worried I was getting thrush after the hsg but think I'm OK, still feeling a bit tender.

Has anyone had the hysteroscopy? That's booked in August, pleased to read in my leaflet that they offer local anesthetic and gas and air, will be using both! With the hsg they were very clear that we shouldn't dtd at all but can't see anything about not ttc leading up, does anyone know?

I've no idea where in my cycle I am, just that af is due next week while I'm on holiday.
