So we're nearly at 1000 posts.... setting this up ready for round 2 when the other is full.

KH87 as 2fingers said I’ve read that can affect fertility so fingers crossed everything else is fine and that with the meds it will increase your chances!

@2finger22018 yes you need a full bladder for et as apparently it makes it easier for them but means more hard work for us ladies!! Like the whole process isn’t invasive enough with out having to worry about weeing on your consultant aswell 😂

@Kelly199 yh nxt month i think we re goin to take a break from ttc until then. I know it sounds crazy and its not what i really want to do but its puttin my OH under too much stress atm hes not been feeling well at all! We re on holiday from work nxt wk and we re just goin to try our best to have fun go a few road trips here and there. Basically chill out fx xx

@2fingers22018 that sounds like a plan Just enjoy being together and doing some nice stuff will help you both relax!

@2fingers22018 the doctor said she reckons that’s going to be the main reason we are having issues with fertility. Would be good if it was a simple fix.

So scan for me went well all healthy etc! Which is greatDP SA low and not good motility so IVF is the only option the NHS will fund.

I’m confused by it all; we only get one round of IVF; but what happens if they get and then fertilise say 12 good eggs. How many transfers will I get? Just one or as many untill the eggs run out before we have to pay?!
Hopefully it will work first time but... it’s a worry.
Also fingers crossed my FSH is below 8:9 as GP messed up the testing day!

@greyc glad your scan went well! Sorry that you have to have ivf. I can’t help with what they do with more eggs after you’ve had a transfer. They will probably freeze them not sure how that works on the nhs though xx

Another question I should have asked 😔 I’m going to give them a ring anyway as they have a sit and wait blood test morning Saturday incase that turns out to be my day 2. And I can’t find any Info on where to go haha!
Positive there is a plan of action though.
How is your cycle going ?

I'm sure my consultant said IVF is literally fertilizing an egg outside the body so if you get a ton of good blastocysts (no idea how that's spelt!) then technically you are still just on one IVF - dunno how nhs works though as far as transfer and freezing goes. We have to pay extra for freezing, but there is a 10% chance thawing can destroy the eggs apparently, so worth it if you have a few, but if you only get a couple better to just stick them back in sharpish.

Def recommend anyone having a ttc break go for it, you find you automatically know when is best, but it's way less clinical because you aren't peeing on sticks and talking numbers. Found it far less stressful than when we started over analysing..

@finallytakingtheplungewithivf ha, peeing on a doctor is 100% what I'd be stressing over, do you think it's a ploy to distract us lol?! Seriously though, dh is a nurse and the things he comes out with that he doesn't bat an eyelid at, he doesn't even think it's interesting! So I bet they are the same, just the day job, another wee on the apron, whatevs 😆

Sorry if I've missed anyone.

I'll be honest, I've been feeling SOOOOO angry this last few days since being on AF. I don't know if it's just period hormones or whether it's part of the grieving process or both. It's not like me at all tho. I really wanted to kick off on Monday and kick shout and scream. Everything about OH is annoying me, for no reason. He's very understanding about me being angry at him for no reason 🙈 Got my occy health assessment on Friday. Think I do need some help. Think I've been too proud to admit it. Xx

@cloudsway another wee on the apron 😂😂 that has tickled me!! I’m sure I read somewhere it does happen the closer it’s getting the more I’m worried about it! 😂

@squirrelnutkins I will deffo try not too!!! Sorry your feeling angry sounds like it could be both which is understandable so be angry and do what you need to feel better x

Sorry @Kelly199 I can't remember if I did actually say, my head is all over the place. My nan had a seizure and is in hospital. She's not going to come home, so we're just waiting 😔 it's really sad. She's 91 and not aware at all, just want her to be out of pain now. Hope you are doing well.

@CloudSway I think a break is a good idea. I think one will be on the horizon for me and dp soon as I'm finding myself getting too obsessed and down all the time waiting for certain times of the month etc. Think I'll maybe give it another month of clomid after this and have a break then.

Hope your occ health will go ok on Friday and I hope you'll be glad you made the appt. It's ok to ask for help. We're only human and can only take so much. It's obviously taking its toll on you. Be good to get it all out and have someone to talk to. Sending hugs ❤️

Why do they make you wait in the same area as people who are heavily pregnant? 😢 Just had a proper cry in the waiting room. It's brought back all the miscarriage stuff. I should be 5 months pregnant now. In my hospital gown waiting to be taken through... 💔😢

Hsg was really painful. Dye went through one tube fine, it went into the other tube but they weren't 100% sure it came out but didn't want to carry on as I was so uncomfortable. We had a chat after and the said they would review the images but weren't concerned as the dye could favour a side, and I have a tilted uterus. Just come out from my scan, I have ovulated this cycle but everything is looking OK, lots of fibroids which I knew so no new information there. Feel absolutely drained. So glad I'm not going into work, just going home to rest now xxx

@VenusStarr I didn't have a great experience either to be honest!
Hope you're ok now. Glad they're not concerned and hope everything will be ok after they're reviewed.
What's the next step now? Do you know? Sorry if you've already said.

Can any of you ladies help please?
I have just had ewcm. That just means I should ovulate soon doesn't it? Had negative opk this am (as anticipated), but ew doesn't mean soon as in very soon, does it? Could be for days? I'm predicting it'll be Saturday or Sunday?

Thanks @Kelly199 sorry you didn't have a good experience either. Don't want to do that again. Even more anxious for the hysteroscopy now :( got that in August then seeing consultant in September. Really hope I don't need the laparoscopy too. Feeling very sorry for myself!

Ewcm is a good sign, think you can have it for around 5 days before ovulation, so good timing. I think it is better to dtd a day or so before ovulation. I've akwats thought if you see ewcm then dtd 🤞 xx

@VenusStarr haven't had that. Is that a similar thing? Hopefully you won't have to have the laparoscopy. Yes, take care of yourself. It is a lot to go through and a lot on your mind. Try and relax.
Oh that's good then!! I dtd yesterday so not due again until tomorrow lol. I haven't had a +opk anyway, so hopefully I should have one soon and it should all time well! Xxx

@kelly199 im ok have a headache today but then I know I haven’t drank enough so will try and get through some this evening but apart from that hot flushes and night sweats have now subsided thanks to the progynova! Yes weeing on the consultant is still my biggest worry at the moment I suppose I should be worrying about my lining and sending positive vibes to make it thick and comfy lol! Hope your ok too? U usually get ewcm a fair few days before ovulation so keep on dtd!

Hi all. Long post...So I've had a few days break after the stressful hen do. Af is also now here. I had a total meltdown at DP about my view he isn't trying hard enough but I think that was unfair really.

I emailed the clinic a load of stressy questions and they emailed back immediately covering everything. It was so reassuring! They have a bit of a backlog but we are going to attempt to get on my September cycle and go from there. So this cycle I have started to eat much more healthily focusing on protein and my vitimain/mineral intake etc. I'm also starting pregnacare which I've always been sceptical about and i've booked acupuncture. My next AF is due the day we go on holiday!

I still have an issue with people saying stupid things. One friend asked me if I was sure my DP really wants a baby because surely he would have sorted his ED out by now. I did call her out on that. Another sent me a list of vitamins...because its all because I'm not taking omega3!

How are you all? I'm bound to miss someone. What's next for you @finallytakingtheplungewithivf?

Also @VenusStarr I am so sorry your hsg was an upsetting experience. I wonder of you could feedback about that. At my hospital we were in a separate area to the fertility clinic.
