Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!
Thanks 😊💛 xx

@AnnaSteen, I haven’t had any bleeding but I think it’s so hard to tell what any of these symptoms or lack of symptoms are! We’re all different.
Could just be your embryo burying itself in really snug in there. Hope is that!

Wesstywoo · 09/04/2019 13:03

@AnnaSteen could be the pessaries irritating your cervix or implantation bleeding.

Rooting for you all ladies!

Got my scan in the morning to check my lining, feeling nervous - fingers crossed the extra meds have done something to help 🤞🤞🤞

Chester6 · 09/04/2019 15:19

Thanks so much @Annasteen. I haven’t had any bleeding at all but I do know lots of friends who had it before BFP so try not to worry. As @Brambles7 said, it could be anything. Have any of you had hot sweats? Are you having much cramping? It’s weird thinking if it’s happening then it’s happened by now. x

AnnaSteen · 09/04/2019 16:13

@chester6 I had a bit of cramping a day or so ago - not so much now and not really hot sweats - although I’m reading into every twinge so who knows!!

Are those the symptoms you have had?

Yes it’s crazy it’s either taken or hasn’t! If only we could take a quick peek and see 🙈 I am fed up waiting for Monday! Looking forward to hearing how you all get on with testing over the weekend!

Chester6 · 09/04/2019 16:17

Yes cramping, although it’s not as bad today. Hot sweats but again more yesterday. Today I have a bit of back ache. And i’ve had sore boobs but I think that’s the pessaries. It’s just so hard to tell, it could be anything.

AnnaSteen · 09/04/2019 16:21

@chester6 it really is so hard to tell. I’ve read all symptoms could be due to the progesterone so I’m trying to ignore them but got a bit freaked out with the bleeding.

Roll on test day to know for better or worse! My test day is Sunday but the clinic is closed so I have to wait to Monday. I felt like saying but the wait is killing me but sure they’ve heard it all before!

Brambles7 · 09/04/2019 17:15

I’ve had sore boobs too, probably just the progesterone.
I thought yesterday ah well, it’s either there or not by now who knows.
Ah That’s a swizz @AnnaSteen for it bring closed on Sunday and being an extra day to wait! Each day is a very long time at the moment!!

DaisyMay25 · 09/04/2019 17:48

@AnnaSteen my clinic said bleeding if it's only a bit isn't uncommon. Try not to let it worry you.

Fingers crossed for you @Brambles7 and @Chester6

I'm feeling a bit better today, managing to eat and I've pick soup up for tomorrow! So nervous about egg collection so I'm happy it's first thing, saves me winding myself up about it all day.

@Wesstywoo good luck for the scan tomorrow, let us know how it goes!!

Wesstywoo · 09/04/2019 18:20

Thanks @DaisyMay25 will do!

Good luck with EC tomorrow! X

AnnaSteen · 09/04/2019 18:24

Good luck tomorrow @DaisyMay25

Hopingforbabyd · 09/04/2019 18:39

Hi ladies! My stupid email has decided not to inform me of any updates on the thread. But!...I’ve had a good read through and I’m hoping all of you are okay.
Today I officially started my IVF cycle 😁 I was so anxious, it too me so long to take my tablet. But, I did it! I’ve come over really weird...all day yesterday and today I’ve felt really floaty, weird and absent minded it’s so bizarre. Has anyone else felt like this? The only way I can describe it is just feeling like you’re floating 😄 x

@sl85 keep your chin up lovely, I completely understand your frustration and while you are now on day 2 I know the rest of those days will drag. Sometimes our body’s do strange things when we’re anticipating something, even though we may not feel stressed this is a big thing to go through and that may be why af decided to come early. Keep us updated with how you get on x

This may be a stupid question why is my OTD Tuesday when I had my ET on the same day as many of you? 😬 is it done on your last period?

Wesstywoo · 09/04/2019 19:32

@WorriedButterfly I had this on my fresh cycle - everyone else on my thread was allowed to test at 10dp5dt and I had to wait until 14! Caved and tested at 10dp5dt though

AliceAbsolum · 09/04/2019 20:16

@Hopingforbabyd Yay for starting! Are you downregging first? Hope the floaty feeling doesn't last too long.

Really hope time speeds up for all the 2ww'ers. BFPs are coming our way!

I'm just hoping AF turns up after Saturday. Then we can start. Finally.

How long have you guys been trying for? I'm 3.5 years.

Hopingforbabyd · 09/04/2019 20:22

@AliceAbsolum I’m taking norethisterone which is a tablet 3 x a day until Saturday, it’s to bring on AF so they can control the cycle and I’ll then start stims on cd2 so will be next week I’ll start them 😬
I’m sure I’ll be okay I think it’s hit me all of a sudden that it’s finally here! We’ve been trying for 3 years now x

Thund4rcat · 09/04/2019 20:25

@worriedbutterfly people who get a blood test at their clinic get to do it sooner as it is more sensitive. I have to do a pee test at home so it will be 12dp5dt. Also people who transferred earlier than a 5 day embryo have to wait longer after transfer so it is the equivalent stage. Sorry I can't remember if any of this applies to you.

2019isouryear · 09/04/2019 20:30

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww and 🤞🏻 for plenty of bfps.

@Hopingfirbabyd I imagine it must be quite surreal when u start. I’m eagerly waiting for AF to arrive anytime now to get started but I imagine it will feel strange when we get started.

Good luck for ur EC tomorrow DaisyMay25

Hopingforbabyd · 09/04/2019 20:38

@2019isouryear I’ve had such a bizarre day I think it’s because it’s finally here. 7 weeks ago I thought I’d be starting IVF like @sl85 and was absolutely heartbroken when they shifted it back to day 21 of this cycle I’m on now it was all down to timing of AF but I was gutted. I ran up those weeks by getting myself into a series on Netflix and spending my days off spring cleaning...now it’s like woah! Okay...hold on 🙈 I’m sure tomorrow will all be a bit more normal. We have our teach appointment on Thursday so think that’ll clear a few queries up.
How are you feeling? Xx

2019isouryear · 09/04/2019 21:08

@Hopingforababyd nervous but eager to get started. Life feels like it is in limbo at the minute. Hoping AF comes before the weekend, but I know it will prob make me wait that little bit longer.

Twiglet2353 · 09/04/2019 21:32

Good luck for tomorrow @DaisyMay25

Hope everyone in the TWW are doing ok? If you all manage to hold out until official test day then you all have better willpower than me 🙈. Can't wait to hear your results xx

Twiglet2353 · 09/04/2019 21:32

Oh and to all you girls starting over the next week or so, rooting for you. Hope the meds are kind to you and the process goes nice and quickly for you xx

Chester6 · 09/04/2019 21:45

Thanks so much @Twiglet123456. I’ve been feeling so like my period is coming that I burst into tears tonight and then my hubby and I ended up having a row as he said I’m not being positive enough and just thinking negatively (which made me cry more). It’s so hard feeling so hormonal. Do you guys think tears would jeopardise things? x

AliceAbsolum · 09/04/2019 21:53

If anything then tears would be a good thing as they get the stress hormones out of your body. It's very stressful and you're doing the best you can. Sorry to hear DH was insensitive. Give him a slap from us x
