Hi all, starting a new thread for those of us who are starting IVF treatment in February.

This will be my second round of ICSI, I start buserelin injections on 17th February. We have MFI (low sperm count) and after our first cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy, I demanded a laparoscopy because I have always had painful periods. The lap discovered I have mild endometriosis and mild adenomyosis but the surgeon said it was mild enough to not affect my fertility.

I am continuing with the NHS, doing a second fresh cycle. We have 3 frozen embryos from the first round as backup if this one doesn't work...

Would be good to have some cycle buddies to share support over the next couple of months...

@Russkispy that is sad news about your other embryo. Wishing you the best of luck for the one you have on board.

Jut finished my early Scan which went very well and all progressing well and according to the dates! 7w3d today! And only 1 baby! Strong heartbeat! tears of relief about everything! Booked for another reassurance scan in 2 weeks! Then harmony test in 3 weeks and anxiously waiting for its results. In the meantime time, still feeling tired every night and nausea kicked in last week, and boobs are still tender from the day of transfer. But I'm not complaining. Just feeling blessed we've gone that far and still more hurdles to overcome

Russkispy · 01/05/2019 10:37

Bad news for us today. Had our second scan and it showed no heartbeat. All stopped a day after our first early scan at 7w3d. Absolutely devastated. Having a surgical procedure to remove it all tomorrow morning. We both cried out eyes out. And now just getting loads of cuddles from our little DD who seems more and more precious in these shitty situations like this. It reminds me how lucky we were a couple of years ago and fell pregnant first time with IUI. She's so special I can't describe it.

Oh @Russkispy I'm so sorry. X

IVF abroad - Warning and recommendation

After trying ICSI unsuccessfully in the Czech Republic at the Reprofit clinic (Feb 2019) which I would NOT recommend we were a bit down especially the way they treated us and others. So we did not get to speak to a Dr and the assistants who we could only communicate with was by email made a mistake on the medication. When we arrived there they blamed us and the care was poor - a bit like a factory process and needless to say the result was unsuccessful.

Recommendation:
After that we only looked for ICSI clinics that had a Dr available to talk to us. We found a highly professional and caring one in Dr Harry Karpouzis of the Pelargos IVF, Athens, Greece. It all went like clockwork and according to the plan he outlined before we arrived. The cost was a bit higher than Reprofit but less than in the UK and now I am pregnant 2 weeks after transfer. The price is all inclusive apart from medicines so scans and blood test included of which he does regularly keeping an eye on everything. This makes a lot of difference compared to others. Also his team organised very reasonably priced accommodation and transfers. If anyone wants more info I can provide the direct details. Here is my recommendation on What Clinic:

"Everything went to plan - ICSI - Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection • Paid: £2649
I cannot thank you enough for the excellent care and expertise of Dr Karpouzis and his team. Everything went to plan, his detailed analysis and constant attention with all-inclusive scans and tests provided world-class healthcare at a reasonable price.

I failed ICSI treatment the first time in another clinic located in the Czech Republic so was concerned about being successful the second time. But the treatment in Athens by Dr Karpouzis was like clockwork and resulted in me becoming successfully pregnant. The first time we spoke to him he was caring and detailed, this was when we realised the difference and felt confident and comfortable with the ICSI treatment.

Thank you Dr Karpouzis you made my dream come true."

Treated by: Mr Harry (Charalampos) Karpouzis

Hi All, this will be my first time posting on this forum 😁

I’m just looking to see what everyone else experiences may be for example symptoms etc during their 2WW and if they had BFP or BFN?

I had a Frozen transfer on Tuesday 13th August 2019, the first two days I didn’t feel anything or see any immediate changes which I didn’t expect to 🙈 on friday i began with Groin cramps and my boobs became tender just on the out sides of each one but nothing major.

On a Saturday I began with, leg cramps, Groin Cramps, Lower Abdomen cramps, lower back ache and also my boobs have become more swollen and tender.

Today (Sunday) I am having all of the above symptoms but now I’m having sharp twinge like cramps on my right hand side only.

These are all signs of my AF coming which funnily enough is due on the same day that my testing
Date is (Monday 26th August).

I’m already ruling out that this has worked but I was just wondering if anyone else has had these AF like symptoms and got a BFP? xxxx

Hello everyone I am going for ICSI the second time round in April. Unfortunately the last time it didn’t work. I was wondering if any one had any tips?
We’ve been trying for 5years :(
