Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

Lots of luck for tomorrow bangsaklove, hope all goes well.
Also good luck happyhedgehog, sounds like you have a brilliant clinic.

Afm I'm still waiting to see if you third embie will make it to the freezer. It hasn't made blastocyst today, but apparently there's still time. I'm still feeling bloated and getting regular cramps. Presuming it's the Cyclogest. Time is passing very slowly!
Hope you all had a good weekend x

@Ahoneybee yes first cycle and we chose abroad in Greece. Love my clinic and though our first round did not work, we are sticking with our clinic and going back in September. I got daily scans and blood tests done at the clinic and they gave me my trigger shot free after they decided that I may be better to go with Averkap ovet Ovitrelle. They have kept the Ovitrelle for me for my next cycle.
Sadly though embies were both grade A at day 3, they didnt make it to day 5. We didnt have to pay the part of the package that was the transfer fee.
We can afford several cycles abroad compared to maybe one in the UK and with better success rates.

@happyhedgehog247 are you trying the usual suspects - Ubiquinol, DHEA, Inositol, Melatonin and Royal Jelly?

AniSL · 28/05/2018 21:15

@happyhedgehog247 also there was another thread on here about tge use of Tamoxifen to improve egg quality - not sure if you picked up on it

Si1ver · 28/05/2018 22:18

@bangsaklove good luck tomorrow!

I used DHEA to improve egg quality and AMH levels. No idea how successful it was.

HappyHedgehog247 · 29/05/2018 07:18

Good luck @bangsaklove. Keep us posted

@AniSL and @Si1ver I'm taking DHEA and Ubiquinol so that's good to hear Si1ver. The 'it starts with an egg' book was anti- royal jelly so haven't taken that. Wondered about Melatonin for this round although I'm already rattling as also taking Vit D, magnesium, probiotic, folic acid and then 2 meds for a chronic condition!!

Ahoneybee · 29/05/2018 08:41

@AnSil that sounds interesting and something I think I'll look into. Did I read before that you'd drawn up a spreadsheet of clinics?

PonyPals · 29/05/2018 09:03

It's a BFP for me ladies... for now!
The HCG is a bit low at 91 as the clinic wants to see it at 150 and above. Re testing again on Friday.

bangsaklove · 29/05/2018 09:04

Thanks ladies excited scared and nervous for today but will keep you posted xx

Si1ver · 29/05/2018 09:18

Well done @PonyPals congratulations! I hope your HCG continues to double appropriately.

rainylake · 29/05/2018 09:25

Congratulations @PonyPals! A really clear line! Hope the HCG levels go up as they should.

Ahoneybee · 29/05/2018 10:51

Congratulations @ponypals

AniSL · 29/05/2018 11:08

@ponypals congratulations

@Ahoneybee yes I have, please pm me your email addy and I will send it to u

@happyhedgehog247 again with the conflicting advise out there, the natural fertility company strongly recommend royal jelly

picklesandpetals · 29/05/2018 11:10

Wondering what information you ladies might have been given about improving egg quality. Either from your own research, have you tried anything that you notice has improved the quality when you cycled again? Or any information from your clinics, what have they suggested? Want to try and do what I can now to improve my chances

@PonyPals congratulations on your bfp

@Ahoneybee Yes, same as you this was my first cycle. I'm thinking about trying a different clinic or going abroad next time.

SouthernBella74 · 29/05/2018 11:46

@picklesandpetals, I’m sorry to hear about your result. 💐 This process can be quite sh*te!

@Happyhedgehog247, happy to hear that your review went well and you have a plan for your next cycle. I hope the learnings result in a positive result for you. 😊

@bangsaklove, I hope your EC went as well possible. 🌟

@PonyPals, congrats on your BFP. 🎉 Fingers crossed for a higher HCG on Friday.

I had my first scan this morning and saw the flickering heart beat! So, I guess I can now believe I’m pregnant - never mind I’ve taken 3 HPTs & had a blood test! 😬

All looks good and baby measuring well. So, slightly relieved and will now wait for the next scan.

Si1ver · 29/05/2018 12:15

@SouthernBella74 that's fantastic news! You must have been so pleased to see the heartbeat. How many weeks are you now?

rainylake · 29/05/2018 12:58

Congratulations @SouthernBella74, must be a huge relief to have it confirmed that everything is going well. Hopefully you can start to relax and enjoy it now!

SouthernBella74 · 29/05/2018 13:39

Thanks @Si1ver and @rainylake. I'm 6w4d today. Smile

I think I'll relax more after the next scan, which is in 2 weeks, but really only after 12weeks...I hope!

How are you ladies feeling?

I've been queasy for the past week or so and losing my appetite. My sense of smell has intensified, so can't take a lot of smells...including my OH breath at the moment! I've made him change his toothpaste! Grin

AniSL · 29/05/2018 13:52

@SouthernBella congratulations

rainylake · 29/05/2018 14:08

@SouthernBella74 wow your clinic is generous with the scans! I just get one at 6-7 weeks and then back into the regular NHS system if everything looks okay. I feel pretty normal other than progesterone-boobs but I didn’t have any symptoms really in the first trimester of my last pregnancy so I’m not too worried about that.

AniSL · 29/05/2018 15:01

@picklesandpetals I think every clinic advises differently on egg quality and Dr Google confuses matters more unfortunately.

My clinic explained that most of the egg development happens 90 days before ovulation, this is the point where you really have to step up your game. My clinic told me no to multis but yes to folic.

Through my own research I am going on the DHEA, Inositol, Melatonin, Ubiquinol and Maca. Lower carb, higher vegetable protein, full fat greek yoghurt daily and avocados too and off course 2 litres of clean water daily

Si1ver · 29/05/2018 15:32

Mine doesn't include any scans or tests because of distance. It's a bit of a downside for cycling abroad I guess. I'm having a private scan at 7 weeks and then I'll be funnelled into the NHS system.

bangsaklove · 29/05/2018 15:48

@ponypals Many congrats love the photo! @southernbella74 lovely to read about your scan how exciting!!!!
Egg collection was fine thank you I mean I felt it! And it was pretty uncomfy but Home now and 14 eggs! Way more than I expected at 39 years of age! :-) so feeling rather chuffed with myself
Fingers crossed the good news continues tomo x

rainylake · 29/05/2018 16:12

@bangsaklove 14 eggs is brilliant! Fingers crossed that lots of them fertilise. Hope the recovery isn't too bad, and do take lots of painkillers.

Yorkshirelass27 · 29/05/2018 16:58

Congratulations 'ponypals' and 'Southernbella'
Well drone 'bangsaklove', great number collected. Hope you are feeling ok.
I had a call from the hospital to say unfortunately I don't have any to freeze. Obviously disappointed and just hope the two onboard behave

bangsaklove · 29/05/2018 17:21

I know it’s quality not quantity but yes I’m happy And very suprised at that number. I know a few were “small” on Fridays scan so not sure what the morning will bring.
@yorkshirelass27 will keep everything crossed for you, we only get this one round and can’t afford another even abroad so hope I get to put two back in too :)
Time for a nap 😴 I think.
