Hi ladies, just wondered if anyone wants to hold hands as we go through a cycle?

After a failed fresh cycle earlier this year, I’m starting my progynova today with a planned FET for May.

Would love some company x

Omg girls I can’t keep up with all the messages to message you separately! But we are troopers! Thank you for your good luck too 🍀
@Cobblestones yes glad the never Bloody ending down reg is done I nearly cried with joy then I got a grip 😀 so Gonal started tonight with a very complicated pen.
I was amazed to hear I had a decent amount of follicles as approaching 40. Bring on the next stage I’m ready xxx

bangsaklove · 15/05/2018 14:17

Back to work now but Look forward to reading all your messages and not feeling shit for the next 2 weeks 😀 well less shit....

picklesandpetals · 15/05/2018 15:18

@SouthernBella74 that's fantastic news 🙌 hope it goes well. Hopefully your good fortune rubs off on the rest of us. What were your first symptoms? And were you a 3 or 5 day transfer? I held the fart btw 😇

@Si1ver i was just asking for a friend 🤣🤣🤣 Tbf don't feel like it atm but want to know when I can lol. My OH refers to me as his little sex pest lol. Do miss it atm. I'm still doing pessaries up the rear end, no mess at all so far at all 👌. Interview went ok thanks, feel drained after being in there one hour forty mins. Went for skirt suit in the end and managed to cover bloat well enough

@rainylake wonder if sex is considered vigorous exercise 🙈😂

@Cobblestones disappointing news, but at least you have some frosties to use. I note some people in this thread indicate better chance with a frozen transfer, keep positive

@AniSL that's brilliant news, you must be relieved, just tomorrow to get through. That's still a great number of follicles hun

I'm back home now and have a craving for some stinky egg sandwiches 🙌 yum

Wishing everyone a good afternoon xx

rainylake · 15/05/2018 17:09

@picklesandpetals good on you for still having any kind of libido after all this! Especially with the egg collection, bloating, tenderness etc, but more generally too infertility can take such a big toll on your sex life by turning it into all being about what days you should be doing it to ttc, that it's easy for it to stop being fun. I'm hoping that once this is all over DH and I can rediscover just having sex for the fun of it!

picklesandpetals · 15/05/2018 19:12

@rainylake absolutely, it can so easily get like that, and us ladies have to be a bit obvious about when the time is right! It's important in all this to still have date nights and spontaneity, which luckily we have

SouthernBella74 · 15/05/2018 21:33

@picklesandpetals, thank you. 😊 I didn’t have any symptoms that were of any significance, other than cramps the first 3 days. No sore boobs. No Implantation bleeding. Nada. It felt very different from when I fell pregnant naturally, which I saw as a good sign, as then I had swollen boobs and could feel constant contractions in my uterus. I now think that was my body rejecting the pregnancy. 😔

But so far so good. Will see what the blood test says tomorrow. Glad to hear your interview went well and you held it in! 😂 And welcome to the 2WW, stay busy/distracted as much as possible.

@PonyPals, that’s great news! Wishing good quality blasts for you. 🌟

@AniSL, glad to hear your EC will go ahead as planned. 😊

@Cobblestones, sorry to hear you won’t have the fresh transfer you wanted, but a FET isn’t so bad...but then it’s been my only kind of transfer. 🙈

Dia12 · 15/05/2018 23:49

Hi guys, hope it’s ok to join in at this stage. I’m on day 2 of buseraline injections. Feel a little anxious about what to expect. No side effects so far.
Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

PonyPals · 16/05/2018 00:24

Day 2 after EC and feeling so bloated and windy!!!
Oh the joys of infertility!!!

picklesandpetals · 16/05/2018 06:36

@SouthernBella74 that's interesting that you didn't really have any symptoms. In a way I bet you had almost convinced yourself it hadn't worked, we are so used to expecting to feel the typical symptoms. I don't feel any different atm. Still have a little boob pain and feel nauseous but that's generally after taking Cyclogest. This really is going to be a long wait 😩. Glad I'm off the other meds, starting to feel myself again, they made me so tired and muddled. Good luck for today's blood test 🤞

Traciwatto · 16/05/2018 07:47

Hey all, really wish I had found this site when we were going through our IVF!
This was our second cycle on the NHS the first one was unsuccessful with only 3 eggs being collected and o my 1 fertilised.
This time round we had 18 follicles, 12 eggs and 5 of them made it to 5day blastocyst. All along we were having 2 transferred but our clinic only advised us to have 1 as the quality was so good. We had collection on 25 April transfer on the 30th had implantation bleed on the 5th May (totally freaked our as thought it was all over) and tested positive on 10th May. We have to do another test on 17th May and book in for our first scan. Cant work out when my due date would be? Sending you all baby dust. Xx

bangsaklove · 16/05/2018 07:51

Good luck for today @southernbella74 please keep us posted!
Hello @dia12 never too late :-) I’m quite a way behind everyone else and just finished downregging.
Ladies I wanted to ask you, has anyone changed their skincare routine? I’m massively into my products and love essential oils but read they should be avoided. I’m now seeing them in a lot of stuff I use. I think it’s mainly for pregoo people but does it apply to TTC people 🧐 hmmm xx
I think I need to stop googling haha

AniSL · 16/05/2018 08:02

Good luck today @SouthernBella

@picklesandpetals hubby is sticking by doctors orders and refuses to have fun time.

Trigger shot went fine, no longer feel bloated or uncomfortable so roll on egg collection.

picklesandpetals · 16/05/2018 08:08

@bangsaklove I've been avoiding using my massage oils, not sure if it makes any difference or not. When you think about it though, there's thousands of women who get pregnant and don't know they are and carry on as normal with drinking, caffeine etc etc. It's just because we know we might be/or are trying that we change our habits, understandably. Having said that, my consultant said to me if I have to question any choice then don't do it, as if it doesn't work you'll only blame it on x y z. I'm googling waaaay too much too 🤔 xx

picklesandpetals · 16/05/2018 08:12

@AniSL that's no fun is it! Funny how the one thing you are actually definitely supposed to do to get pregnant becomes off limits 🤔. Yay, glad trigger went ok. No idea how you are lucky enough to feel less bloated already! Mine is only just subsiding x

AniSL · 16/05/2018 08:25

@picklesandpetals yeah it's pretty stupid isn't it. I don't know why but I've been really lucky with the side effects of all the meds so far. Bloating only happened after the final Gonal shot. Will have to see what happens after EC and with the pessaries

@bangsaklove our clinic told us that for EC and ET not to wear any perfumes or use any creams etc. Apparently it's toxic for the eggs and embies. I tend to use all natural products anyway as I know the dangers of the crap they put in products.

bangsaklove · 16/05/2018 09:15

Thanks all and @picklesandpetals I hear you that’s so true and even though I know it to Be logical we still over analyse hahah
@AniSL do you have any recommendations on products? I looked abotyu a bit yesterday but when you examine ingredients it’s a mine field! I thought perhaps LUSH? I currently treatment myslef to espa who are good but so many essential oils
I’ve been keen to make changes to more natural for a long time due to toxins potentially aggravating my endometriosis as well as my growing follies now 💕

findingmyfeet12 · 16/05/2018 11:51

I don't use any lotion, perfume etc during ivf. I work from home so I don't wear makeup either.

The only fragranced product I use is a cream deodorant (I find it's the only one that works for me).

I cut out caffeine completely as well.

My clinic didn't tell me about any of this but a doctor friend advised me.

hoping2018 · 16/05/2018 11:58

Hi all,

Hope everyone's doing ok?

I've finally had a little bit of good news and got two to freeze! One day 5 grade B.B. and one day 6 grade AA hatching. So relieved! - also makes me feel a bit more positive about the two day 3 embryos on board.

I'm now in the dangerous position of feeling a little bit hopeful though! A bad thing in infertility!

Also anyone else craving salt?! I'm constantly wanting salty things - not sure if it's related to overdtimminf? Too early for a symptom thing!

Si1ver · 16/05/2018 12:38

@hoping2018 that's great news well done!

I heard back from the clinic today and they've ended up with two hatched blastocysts to freeze, which takes the pressure off a bit.

hoping2018 · 16/05/2018 12:44

@Si1ver well done to you too!! Nice to have some good news - I feel like up and til now the last 18 months have always been us stepping in the wrong direction.

Let's hope we don't have to use them for 18 months or so!

PonyPals · 16/05/2018 12:52

Great news @Si1ver and @hoping2018

So currently there are 3 girls in tww???

rainylake · 16/05/2018 13:32

Great news @hoping2018 and @Si1ver. Hopefully you won't need the frozen ones for a while, but it's a big relief to know that they're there.

The clinic told me that 2 more of mine were deemed good enough quality by day 6 to be frozen. So I have 4 frozen, and it's definitely good not to have everything riding on the fresh transfer.

AniSL · 16/05/2018 13:40

@si1lver and @hoping2018 congrats. Fingers crossed for you

@bangsaklove I have a favourite site that I order from - naturismo and also soorganic. Littlesoapcompany is also a good one.
I go to mind body spirit festivals a lot so buy a lot from there too.
I haven't used traditional deodorant, toothpastes, shampoos and body washes in years either.

picklesandpetals · 16/05/2018 13:54

@bangsaklove I think it's only natural to be over cautious, analyse everything and become a google super user.

@hoping2018 excellent that you have some for freezing, good back up. Hopefully you won't need them though! 🤞 I've been craving cheese / ham / onion toasties, yesterday it was egg sandwiches! I'm trying not to read anything into it. It's probably the Cyclogest. All I know is a gym visit is in order soon!!

@Si1ver great news that you've got some for freezing too, hopefully you won't need them either

I heard back from the clinic today. Nothing good enough for them to freeze, they are giving them one final day in culture tomorrow then that's it. So everything rests with the two I've got onboard already 🤞🙏

@PonyPals yes I'm in the two week wait!

bangsaklove · 16/05/2018 14:07

Thank you @AniSL and @findingmyfeet for recommendations x will get on the net
Everyone else I will catch up on your news over a sandwich shortly!
