So today I have woken up with quite a bit of dark blood when I go the toilet. Not to sure what to think anymore. I don’t have any cramps or pains just the blood. X

becky114 · 24/03/2018 06:26

@PonyPals when can you start your FET?

@Liverpool19 I think spotting is ok? How much blood is there. It might be worth ringing your clinic for r assurance? When is your period normally due? Mine would be due Monday and I'm scared it will start. However, my clinic also say there are women that bleed throughout there pregnancy xxx

PonyPals · 24/03/2018 06:37

I was told if you are taking progesterone there shouldn't be any bleeding at all? But there are some women who do bleed.

@becky114 I just had the FET and it didn't work. Have an appointment with FS on 19th if April to talk about a new stim cycle.

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 06:37

becky my period isn’t due to start until 4th April. There’s quite a bit on the toilet paper not as much as a period.
I will see how today goes then give them a call. X

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 06:39

I have not heard that pony 🤷🏼‍♀️ X

becky114 · 24/03/2018 06:47

@Liverpool19 If it's not a period, it's likely spotting which is a common side of implantation, which is super good news!!! Continuous heavy bleeding is not good, but again it happens and everyone is different. Progesterone should prevent period from staring properly, but it is too early for your period so I'm sticking with implantation blood so I'm getting even more excited for you!!!! I have had naff all anything 😝

@PonyPals How you feeling about new process? I can imagine it's still too raw at the moment. I commend you for your strength to carry on straight away. If this doesn't work for me, I have decided to go on holiday in June and then have a an FET. How many IVF cycles and FETs have you had. I have two embryos frozen. Xxx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 06:52

I hope so becky I don’t think I’ve ever been this scared 😂 I’ve just been again and there was literally like a little streak of it. I have noticed I’ve been going the toilet more and I’m not drinking anymore than what I usually do. No signs can be just as good as every single one like I am getting 😂 xx

becky114 · 24/03/2018 07:09

@Liverpool19 I hope so, there doesn't seem to be many successful first time IVFs which is worrying me. Little streaks seem perfectly normal to me Hun, just think pregnant. No prosecco for you for 9 months or longer if you wanna breast feed lol. Xxx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 07:12

I’ll just stick to the 9 months becky 😂 I suppose none of us really know until we do a test so it’s all just a guessing game and driving ourselves mental with it. Xx

becky114 · 24/03/2018 07:16

@Liverpool19 your test date is Friday like mine. Are you gonna test Wednesday or Thursday? Xxx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 07:26

No I don’t think so becky my boyfriend is like “no we won’t be testing early* when I said the other day about it 😂. I’ll want to but I don’t think I will. Are you? Xx

becky114 · 24/03/2018 07:55

I'm not sure. I always daydream about surprising my husband with a "we are pregnant" which sadly IVF takes a little away from because it's all scheduled. So I was thinking if I found out first I could still do this. He isn't coming to the hospital with me on the Friday as he can't get it off work. Xxx

Minster2012 · 24/03/2018 08:28

@swimchick1980 6 weeks already it feels like that’s flown! Yay!

@becky114 hi! I haven’t had a chance to read back through everything but there are quite a few of us on here, & lurking from the beginning of this thread last year who IVF has worked first time, & ppl who have joined along the way like swimchick, my best friend is pregnant with our child as a surrogate and 22 weeks now from our first round, there’s about 4 other ppl at a similar stage from then so don’t think it can’t work 😁 sometimes it does need more than go though to get the medication right

@liverpool19 hang in there, spotting blood isn’t an issue, & you are prob going to the toilet more cos you are on knicker watch not cos you are actually needing the loo!! 🙈🤣

PonyPals · 24/03/2018 08:35

Hi @becky114
I just want to reassure you that first time IVF really does work.
We did our very first round in 2015 with a fresh 5 day blasty and now have a very happy and healthy 2.5 year old. I know we were very very lucky.
From that round we had one blast frozen and this is the FET I just had. Unfortunately it didn't work this time.

We are moving on and excited to do another fresh stim soon.
Hang in there it really does happen!

@Liverpool19 be strong, try not to worry. Fingers crossed for you!

becky114 · 24/03/2018 08:56

Awww thanks for the reassurance ladies, I'm trying not to but I just have a feeling it hasn't worked for me, but we never know until that test. So positive thoughts and visualisation xxx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 10:28

I’ve rang the hospital, as I had a little clot. She said as it was only small and I don’t have pain she isn’t worried. As I’ve been laying down it will of clumped together.
Safe to say I am absolutely terrified

becky114 · 24/03/2018 11:03

@Liverpool19 I have prayed for you. I don't usually pray all the time but at the moment it seems to be a daily occurrence, for me and the girls I read about. I would say think positively but I know how hard that is after so long of trying. We are half way through xxx

PonyPals · 24/03/2018 11:04

When are you resting?

PonyPals · 24/03/2018 11:04

I meant testing

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 11:08

Thank you becky I don’t test until Friday pony x

wombats · 24/03/2018 12:00

@Liverpool19, don't blame you for being terrified, this whole process is absolutely nerve wracking. It does sound a bit early to be AF but good to have some rest today. Sending you loads of good thoughts xx

@Ponypals, sorry this go wasn't successful for you but the statistics are on your side, if you've had a successful round (esp if you fell pregnant on the very first go) you're much more likely for success in the future!

AFM my cramps have finally calmed down a bit, were fairly intense last night so hoping the little embryo was just burrowing in rather than being squeezed out Confused Did another test just now and still faint positive, hope it's not a bad sign that it's not darker. Had just gone to the loo an hour before so perhaps urine was dilute? What a rollercoaster!

Sending you all good thoughts for the weekend xx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 12:16

wombats glad the line is still there 🙏🏼 It’s gone back to hardly anything again now so I think with it being the morning and being asleep for so long it was always going to be heavier. Xx

Starlumiere · 24/03/2018 13:33

OMG so much has been happening on here!

@Liverpool19 believe sweetie and have everything crossed for you! 🍀🤞🙏🏻🌹❤️

Ladies I am at the pub for a nice lunch so can’t write a lot, but I am thinking of you very deeply. Hang in there!! You can do this!

Lots of love
Sonia

I'm getting more twinges but it feels EXACTLY like it usually does a couple days before my period, I checked my calendar 📆 and my period would normally be due on Monday. So now I'm getting worried that my period will start as normal because either implantation has literally just happened not giving the hcg enough time, and therefore my embryo will get washed away. Or it will start as normal because implantation has t happened. What are your experiences xxx

Liverpool19 · 24/03/2018 14:45

Enjoy your lunch star I need wine 😂 I am now On a brown streak 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am just happy it’s not getting heavier and it’s getting lighter. Xx
