star glad you are doing well and thank you. I still don’t believe it so I done another test yesterday 😂😂 well done on your weight loss and enjoy your holidays!

swim this is what I am worried about. I’ve been debating ringing my doctors and telling them but didn’t know what to do. I think I will call them on Monday.
Xx

Janefx40 · 13/04/2018 12:04

Well done @Winnie56 great news. Glad you are feeling ok. Keep drinking water tho just in case.

@Starlumiere Lovely to hear from you. Great to take time off and relax. Things have slowed down a bit for me so I'm feeling better. Bleeding seems to be spotting so we have at least a few days before we start but maybe a week or more which feels better.

We are going on a second viewing of a house today. I know everyone says not to move during IVF etc but we were getting so depressed with putting our lives on hold. So we have started living!!

Xxx

physicskate · 13/04/2018 14:15

@winnie56 that's great news!! Everything crossed for you!!

Liverpool19 · 13/04/2018 14:19

jane I sold my house during ivf and I’m going to be 10 weeks pregnant 🤞🏼🤞🏼 The day we move 😂
winnie well done that’s brilliant.
Xx

swimchick1980 · 13/04/2018 16:39

star, glad you're doing well. Losing a stone is amazing. Are you following a plan? I could really do with losing some weight. I think Slimming World is ok when pregnant.

winnie, fantastic news. Fingers crossed.

Liverpool, I would phone if I was you. I phoned as soon as I got a positive when I fell naturally pregnant and I suspect that's what most people do, so if you wait till scan (in my case ended up being 9 weeks), you are at the end of the queue.

jane, good luck with the second viewing. I agree with you - life cannot stop.

Liverpool19 · 13/04/2018 17:59

I will do swim I don’t want to be at the back of the que and I want the tests they do for downs etc which has to be done before 13 weeks I think isn’t it. And yes I think slimming world is ok I’m going to start following it myself jusy to stay healthy. I’ve been In the gym 3 times a week aswell, battling through the tiredness and cold I’ve got 😂 feel so much better for it. Xx

swimchick1980 · 13/04/2018 20:32

I think it can be done up to 14 weeks. With DS we had to get scans (first one at 12 weeks) and he was never in the right place for the Downs test so we couldn't do it. Gym 3 times a week is great. I'm so tired I have done nothing except eat pizza and pasta and ginger nuts!!

Liverpool19 · 13/04/2018 20:36

Oh great, I won’t be too disappointed if the baby’s not in the right place I’ll just think it’s not meant to be 😂 pasta and pizza my two faves 😍 xx

swimchick1980 · 13/04/2018 23:05

Yes, that's what we thought too. I'm not that fussed about the test but I would like the scan as we decided we wouldn't tell anyone until we had it, not even parents, and I am likely to be the size of a house by then (probably more to do with the pizza and pasta Grin), if, fingers crossed, we make it to that stage.

Janefx40 · 14/04/2018 09:10

@Liverpool19 gym 3 times a week - you're amazing!

Help me decide about this house! We love it BUT the location is near a busy road and not near shops or a centre (I like being in a village really - this is a bit suburban) BUT we've been looking for so long and I'm not sure there are any areas we can afford that would be better. Any thoughts?

And in other news my drugs are arriving any minute and we have our first scan Monday to hopefully start then. Not certain tho as my hormones have been so screwed this cycle so will have to wait and see if they are playing ball

Xxx

Liverpool19 · 14/04/2018 10:13

We are the same swim not telling our parents or any family I have a few friends that know and I have to tell work as I’m not allowed to work my normal job while pregnant. So can’t wait for a scan.
jane if you love it and it feels right go for it! Goodluck for Monday 💪🏼 Xx

Winnie56 · 15/04/2018 10:19

Just had a call from the clinic we are still on for a five day transfer - Tuesday morning.

We have four grade one - 6, 8,10 and 14. She thinks the 14 one is growing too fast
We then have a grade 2 +. The other ones she didn't tell me the grade. Not sure if they have stopped growing or graded lower. I didn't want to ask and cause myself worry for no reason.

Liverpool19 · 15/04/2018 10:50

Brilliant news that your still on for the 5 day transfer winnie I cant comment on the grades my clinic don’t tell you. Xx

Janefx40 · 15/04/2018 10:59

@Winnie56 great news! Sounds like they are doing well.

My drugs arrived yesterday. Scan and tests tomorrow and if all is well then we start then. I've no idea what to expect as my hormones have been all over the place. Not counting my chickens but feel quite relaxed.

Quick question. We never had drugs that had to be refrigerated before so not sure what to do. Clinic is nearer work than home. What time of day do you usually have to take menopur? Trying to decide whether I need to take it with me tomorrow to work in a cool bag in case I need to take something before I get home in the evening.

Winnie56 · 15/04/2018 11:42

Hi Jane
I had to take refrigerated drugs (gonal f) but I was allowed to choose what time I took them in the evening so did it about 9:30pm every night when I knew I would be home.

When you pick up your drugs they need to be put in the fridge within 2 hours. Have you got a fridge at work if you are going back?

Thanks Liverpool. Apparently they are quite good grades she just wasn't sure about the one growing too fast

Aliona19 · 15/04/2018 11:46

Jane all my drugs from fridge had to be taken either first thing in the morning or evening. I was doing it like 6 am and 9 pm. But of course it can be different in your case..how are you feeling? All ready?

Janefx40 · 15/04/2018 12:06

Ah ok. Last round we generally took them around 3:30 in the afternoon. Yes there is a fridge at work. But it takes me 90 mins to get there and back so they would be out the fridge for a while, there and back.

@Aliona19 I feel ready. I have had 4 days now to get used to it. On Wednesday night when I started bleeding I thought it might start the next day and that seemed too soon. Fingers crossed my hormone levels are ok

Winnie56 · 15/04/2018 15:16

I had the same thing Jane. My cycle is normal 28 or 28 days and the month I started it was 25. Even though it was only a couple of days early mentally I hadn't prepared to start then. 12, hours late I was at the clinic having my first scan and picking my drugs up.

Winnie56 · 15/04/2018 15:28

I meant 28 or 29 days

Janefx40 · 15/04/2018 21:02

Thanks everyone. Xxx

Ps decided not to put an offer in on the house. Disappointing but it isn't quite right

Elly1685 · 15/04/2018 21:15

HEY all,
Hope you don’t mind me joining you. I am part way through my first IVF journey - day 8 of injections actually. I’ve been pretty calm about the whole process but tomorrow morning I have my day9 scan and will be told whether or not to trigger before ECwhich is booked in on Thursday. My last ultrasound was day5. I had 15 follicles in total, most were under 10mm, two were 11mm, two were 12mm and one 14mm. I don’t know if this is good or not. But as I’m told it’s quality not quantity. It’s all ridiculously real now. Any tips? Advice? Words of wisdom to try and keep me sane x

Beetroot01 · 15/04/2018 21:25

Hi, I am new and hope its ok to join this group.
I am on my first step in ivf, I am currently awaiting for nhs/my clinic to come back to me. Hope this all process is going to be quick Blush

Hoppy1985 · 15/04/2018 22:35

Hey @Elly1685 and @Beetroot01 welcome to the chat! I'm a recent joiner too, some of these lovely ladies have been chatting a while but everyone's very supportive! Good luck with your journey's.

My current status is - first round ivf (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis), 9 eggs collected, only two fertilised and made it on to blast stage. Of the two one was effected by the "dodgy" gene and one was healthy. So all that for just one,but two weeks ago I did a pregnancy test and it was positive so I guess there is your proof of quality not quantity! X

Liverpool19 · 16/04/2018 07:41

elly welcome! I had a day 9 scan and had to inject for 2 more days then had EC. Words of wisdom, I don’t really have any 😂 drink lots of water, and relax. The TWW is what I found the hardest. Good luck! beetroot welcome to the group I found my clinic to be pretty quick. x

Beetroot01 · 16/04/2018 09:07

Hoppy thats very promising ;)
Liverpool hope that my clinics respons going to be super quick and I can get started asap.
