I’m good thanks lav is it an actual bleed or just a bit? Are you due on soon? I’ve been reading you can have a break through bleed during that time. Xx

Hunter14 · 02/04/2018 15:10

Hello All.
I’m new to this group but wanted to say hi. I’m starting my IVF treatment tomorrow with the first scan and injection. Fairly nervous & excited. It’s my first round.

Liverpool19 · 02/04/2018 15:14

Welcome hunter and goodluck. The injections aren’t that bad I was terrified but after the first one it was easy. I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant off my first cycle. Xx

swimchick1980 · 02/04/2018 17:46

Fingers crossed Lavmc, some bleeding is not too unusual so hopefully all will be fine.

Liverpool and Aliona, it can be so annoying can't it?! I've managed a few work functions, thankfully have always had the car so it's been ok. First one I had cranberry juice and then the last one I had non alcoholic beer, which was actually quite decent.

Aliona, is your scan on Wednesday? Best of luck.

Welcome Hunter, the first injection is scary but it's absolutely fine and you'll wonder what you were so worried about. Welcome too BeHereNow, hope you get your appointment soon.

BeHereNow31 · 02/04/2018 18:01

Thank you for the welcomes. Good luck to people just starting out, and congrats to the ones it worked for ☺️☺️ The injections are ok. I only had trouble when I was unwell with flu, and my whole body hurt anyway. Aim for a fatty bit on the tummy, and it doesn’t hurt imo.

Appointment is in 2 weeks time. Have been trying to do nice things, like decorating the house. Have also started to look into adoption, which gives me some hope. Xx

Lavmc · 02/04/2018 18:06

Liverpool19 it's some dark bleeding when I woke. Had my bloods taken today and they have said my hcg is very low only at 9. I'm not sure what this means bit she thinks it may be an early mc. I've to go back next week for bloods again but sadly I do not think it's worked. X

Liverpool19 · 02/04/2018 18:15

Oh lav I’m so sorry I hope you are ok. Xx

becky114 · 02/04/2018 19:27

@Lavmc so sorry lav, thoughts are with you xxx

Lavmc · 02/04/2018 19:28

Thanks liverpool19 and becky114 💜 x

BeHereNow31 · 02/04/2018 19:35

Sad news Lavmc can’t imagine how’s you are feeling. Take care xx

Hunter14 · 02/04/2018 20:26

Thank you all for the kind words and welcome. Makes it seem less daunting.

Does anyone know the number of days for the process? From initial scan to collection and transfer? I am trying to work it all out.

Lavmc - I'm sorry to hear about the troubles that you are having. Take care. xxx

Liverpool19 · 02/04/2018 20:53

hunter I started injecting on the 1st March and had egg collection on the 14th. Egg transfer on the 19th and pregnancy test on the 29th. I was on the short protocol. Xx

swimchick1980 · 02/04/2018 20:58

I'm so sorry Lavmc. Take care of yourself.

I started injecting on Valentines Day had egg collection on 23rd, egg transfer 5 days later and pregnancy test 15 days after egg collection.

Winnie56 · 02/04/2018 21:16

I am so sorry Lavmc. xxx

Hi Hunter, I started injecting gonal f on Good Friday and honestly the injections so far are painless. I am also doing them myself. No major side effects either yet. Just extremely tired.

Janefx40 · 02/04/2018 21:58

Hi @Lavmc I'm sorry you are going through stress. My Hcg came back at 6 on my test day. The clinic said that they call that equivocal and they think it is the hardest situation to be in. Generally at my clinic 0-5 is a negative. 6-50 is equivocal and 50+ positive but they like to see over 100. They said they have known women to go on to have healthy pregnancies from hcg of 9 but it is rare. When they tested me a week later my levels had risen to 80 so technically they had doubled every 48 hours which is what they look for BUT the numbers were so low that it didn't suggest a viable pregnancy. I started bleeding that day - so it was a chemical pregnancy. I know how that process feels so get in touch on here or PM me if you want to talk.

@Hunter14 welcome. The process is different for everyone. I was on a short protocol. I triggered on treatment day 8, egg collection day 10, 3-day transfer on day 13, test on day 25. I was super speedy tho!!!

Xxx

Winnie56 · 03/04/2018 08:35

Wow Jane that is super speedy. Did you start straight on gonal f? Do you mind asking why you went so quickly I am assuming you responded really quickly to drugs.

Janefx40 · 03/04/2018 08:52

@Winnie56 I was actually on a different drug, called Fostimon which is essentially the same as Gonal F for 2 days then they switched me to Merional which also contains some LH.

I just responded really fast. They had to keep reducing my dose too to stop me over responding. I got 14 mature eggs and I was nearly 41 at the time so it worked really well.

It then turned out we have a rare sperm binding issue so we unfortunately didn't end up with that many embryos! So we have plenty of problems but last time, stimulation wasn't one of them!

Xxx

XstephanieX · 03/04/2018 10:48

Hi @Lavmc So sorry you're going through this, it's bad enough without being in such a state of limbo, thinking of you x

@Hunter14 Welcome! I am on the long protocol so started injections just over two weeks ago and my schedule is as follows:
Weeks 1-3 inject Buserelin
Weeks 4-5 inject Buserelin & Menopur (plus pessaries week 5)
Week 6 EC and ET
End of Week 7 - Test
I've found the injections to be totally fine although I've had the odd day where I've felt a bit emotional and I've felt quite tired x

Aliona19 · 03/04/2018 15:10

Hey Swim. I am struggling to avoid alcohol at work as they going for drinks every week and I am coming up with stupid excuses 🤦🏻‍♀️
Scan is tomorrow, scary times..
Also having a toothache 👍🏻👍🏻 So going to see Dentist tomorrow but really upset about it 😕 not best time but but stupid to suffer is it?
Don’t have any symptoms anymore, apart from strong sense of smell.. and working with food, smell of curry or eggs 6 am in the morning doesn’t help 😅

Hunter14 · 03/04/2018 16:03

Thanks all for the info.
I had my first scan today & start injections tomorrow night. I have to go back for another scan tomorrow as linning still a bit thick. Otherwise, first scan with meds Monday. Fingers crossed.
@aliona - best of luck for tomorrow xx

Liverpool19 · 03/04/2018 17:59

Good luck aliona my sense of smell is bad enough as it is I literally smell anything so I’m scared for this 😂
Goodluck tomorrow hunter it’s easy! Xx

Janefx40 · 03/04/2018 19:36

Good luck @Aliona19 I heard a rumour that the dentist is free when you're pregnant so that's one thing anyway.

@Hunter14 hope your lining thins out and you can get going

X

Aliona19 · 03/04/2018 19:48

Thanks girls
Jane yeah should be free, but I still don’t have proof of pregnancy so can’t really claim it 😅 but the main problem is X-ray and anaesthetic.. I hate dentists and obviously worried about going now.. usually need 100 injections to numb it and what am I going to do now?! 😨

Minster2012 · 03/04/2018 20:03

Good luck @aliona19!!! Crazy Russian 💕😁❤️

Aliona19 · 03/04/2018 20:11
