Anyone about to start IVF

Hi, I was wondering if anyone is about to start IVF. Would be good to go through this journey with someone/people. Share experiences etc.

Yay kjackson, another hurdle overcome!

I have 10 follicles so far and lining looking good. All systems go so far. Feel like absolute shizzle and my clothes have all shrunk, so I’m drowning my sorrows in a massive scone with butter and jam!

Kjackson, how exciting, time will fly once you start your meds

So i had my transfer all went well.
They transferd two Embryos which were 6 cells so above average (graded AA i think or A*)

I'm feeling ok, still in shock, had my bloods today but missed the call for my results. Then I had doubt and went and bought another test 😳 got another positive so I'm starting to accept it. X

Thats great on the new positive, i can understand you taking time to accept it as not sure to believe it just yet. Will they call again with your results?

I had a call from embryologist at the hospital. I had 4 eggs left after transfer, 3 have made it to early blastocyst stage . They will give a final call tommorow to let us know if any are suitable for freezing.

@Camay yes I’m stimming and I’m feeling ok, just fat! 10 follies on Monday, next scan Sat morning then hopefully EC Monday. Super scared but gotta do it!

@TryingToStayRational Ah I'm know the stims bloat too well... I have literally been living in elasticated waistbands... 🙈

Don't be nervous I promise you it will be fine, you won't know a thing and it will be over so quickly! And there's no more Injecting!

Can someone tell me if when they are injecting themselves if it feels like it's getting harder to do each day? I am on day 3 and feel like it's getting harder to push the needle in!

@Kjackson02 I found some days were harder than others... some days I barely felt it and others hurt...
But I promise by the end of stims you will be doing it with your eyes closed! X

@Kjackson02 I promise you're not doing anything wrong... it's so daunting... and there's no one to say 'is this right?'
But every single woman that's been through this is probably wondered the same!

@Kjackson02 I totally know what you mean, I have found some days harder than others. I try to do a 3-2-1 in my head and then do it, but I sometimes have to do more than one! Also I think some days it’s like my skin is tougher and more easily hurt than others. You’re doing fine and it will become easier and more routine.

Had my blood results, it's positive, I'm pregnant. I need to go back on Wednesday for another rest to check my levels are rising. I've been to my local gp and I'm already booked in for my first hospital visit and scan end of March. It's all go, but it's scary. I'm just praying it grows and all is ok.

It's crazy isn't it, the tww is a nightmare, how the hell am I supposed to get through to my 12 weeks! 😬

Herewego that sounds fantastic 🤞you get some to freeze, it sounds positive.

Hi Camay, hope your transfer went ok. Yes it's hard but try to keep occupied, read a book, watch box sets, anything to fill your time.

Tryingto 10 days (well 9 now) until transfer, exciting!!! how you getting on with your meds? 10 follies is great, don't be scared about EC embrace it, positive thoughts.... this is all good stuff.

I've found the mindful ivf app has helped to keep my calm and pretty much on cloud nine, it's really relaxed me so I recommend it xx
