Hi, I was wondering if anyone is about to start IVF. Would be good to go through this journey with someone/people. Share experiences etc.

Great to hear all the happy news about healthy follicles, eggs and blastocysts!
Star Thrilled for you all and wishing you goodness for the days ahead! Smile

This long protocol sure is loooong. Only on day 6 of Progynova (8mg) and just want everything to happen already! Feeling great though and would recommend the Mindful IVF app if anyone feels like a dose of zen. Am just on the freebie sessions so far.

Good luck all! Flowers

Star, I'm in a place called Mons, I think sometimes it has helped not being able to ask to much. it's meant I've had to go with the flow of things a bit. My French extends to saying I would like (then I plonk a word at the end) the bill please, I don't understand, I have an appointment. Then bits I pointlessly learned at school, I have a dog, I have short hair, I live in a house 😂 Going back home to Birmingham in two weeks to see my family, my niece is being christened. Hope AF shows on time, I think that's the worst wait of them all.

Terry, 8 eggs that's fab! And to have some to freeze, excellent. The 19th will be here in no time 🤞🍀

Tryingto, glad to hear the downreg is going well and that you're feeling good.

Koru, yes I've been using that app, like you just the free parts but I've found it relaxing.

Xx

@csds I hear what you are saying. Like always you have the right attitude sweetie. All the best for your transfer! Enjoy the magic of it! XXXX

OMG so today didn’t start off that great. We got to the hospital, checked in, went up to 4th floor. Waited then the dr told us we have to be at a different hospital for transfer. (Something we were never told) So they called the hospital and explained the situation and told them we were on our way (45-50 min drive).
Found out our other embryo wasn’t that good, they don’t think they’ll be able to freeze it. They said transfer embryo is good.... whatever good means. Anyway, I’ve had the transfer, all is well, feeling fine, remaining calm and enjoying some chill time with pooch xx

Awww bless you csds! What a stress for you. So glad you got your transfer done and have a good embryo. I know it must be disappointing not having one to freeze, but our clinic told us that most people (2/3) don’t, so you aren’t alone at all. Everything crossed for you and your little embie! Sending you every good wish Smile

Hi guys! So I've been naughty and have been testing since about 5dp5dt. All negative until today! This morning, which happens to be my official test day, we got a bit fat positive!!!

It's been such a roller-coaster. Best of luck to you other girls, I hope everything is going well.

Koru80 · 19/02/2018 08:06

Big congratulations Terry! That's so exciting. So great to hear you've been successful on the first round! I'm now filled with hope too. Smile

csds · 19/02/2018 08:32

Oh wow Terry that is fantastic news! Congratulations hun 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I don't know what came over me, I've been quite ok but Saturday and Sunday morning I was an emotional crazy lady. I'll be testing Friday. 🤞

terryandthechocolateorange · 19/02/2018 09:07

I have to say, if you can avoid testing early I would. I was crushed when I kept getting negative results. I found myself furiously googling constantly, trying to see when others were testing positive after 5 day transfers which only compounded my anxiety and grief. My wife has been my rock and has supported my decisions to test (or not, depending on how emotional I was!).

Kjackson02 · 19/02/2018 19:15

Congratulations @terryandthechocolateorange that's amazing news bet your over the moon 🎉😄 xx

TryingToStayRational · 20/02/2018 08:05

Wow that is brilliant, terry! So happy for you! Grin

TryingToStayRational · 20/02/2018 17:04

Had my baseline scan today and all ok, so I start on merional tomorrow. Egg collection either 5th or 7th March if all goes to plan. Feeling good, trying to just keep thinking a day at a time and ticking off my injections. Good luck to everyone waiting, I’m thinking of you! 🤞

DS01 · 20/02/2018 17:45

Good luck Very exciting 😁.

I had two eptopic pregnancies that resulted in both my tubes being removed. I am about to start IVF end of march and wanted to hear if anyone or knows anyone who has been through the same and had a successful birth?

Many thanks.

TryingToStayRational · 20/02/2018 18:12

Hi DS01, sorry to hear about your ectopics. I have a friend who had exactly your situation and has two children thanks to IVF, so it absolutely can happen. Tube problems are exactly what IVF was invented for to begin with. Wishing you every success!

DS01 · 20/02/2018 18:58

Thank you sorry much for letting me know so good to have a success story makes it all the more exciting. Wishing everyone good luck on their journey.

DS01 · 20/02/2018 18:59

Good luck lots of fingers and toes crossed for you Smile

csds · 21/02/2018 07:58

Tryingto, yes stay positive, all sounds good so far

Sorry to hear about your ectopics DS01 that must have been pretty scary, 🤞 stay hopeful for IVF xx

Due to start my treatment Monday just waiting the arrival of AF, what is the purpose of drinking 3 litres of water a day as that's what I have been advised to do?
