Thanks @Sunny1984 and @AmyL88, I have decided to count yesterday as day 1. AF was really light overnight Friday so made sense to count that Saturday as day 1. Will start Clomid tomorrow night, also got 8hours of travelling on trains for a work meeting tomorrow so was worried in case I have any odd side effects.
I am being completely unmonitored this month, will ask my consultant about being monitored if Clomid doesn’t cause AF to arrive next month. X

PickettBowtruckles · 25/02/2018 20:28

@AmyL88 no more bloods scheduled until AF arrived as I’m on day 90 something now! We’re treating the OPK as ‘confirmation’ of ovulation (even though we know it doesn’t mean that) and doing all we can at the moment so it’s a matter of wait for AF or a BFP at the moment

Animagus · 26/02/2018 10:24

I seem to have gone from one extreme to another, from no period at all to 2 weeks and counting. It’s the heaviest it’s ever been too and it’s tiring me out Sad

Sunny1984 · 05/03/2018 20:28

Hey my loves,

How’s everyone getting on? I’ve had a really shitty few weeks but finally feeling better physically now just need to work on the floods of tears 🤦🏼‍♀️

Decided we would get straight back to TTC again as I think waiting will make me feel worse. Back to doing bloody OPKs really doubt my body will do anything by itself but keeping everything crossed it does otherwise I think it’s IVF 😕 xx

Hey @Sunny1984,

Lovely to hear from you, I was thinking of you earlier today and wondering how you were getting on. The tears are completely understandable, its such a lose and you need time to grieve. I would be exactly the same. Big hugs xxx

Makes sense TTC straight away if you feel strong enough, fingers crossed for you and hope the opk’s start telling you things. Have you seen your consultant to see what’s the next step?

I’m on CD10 of Clomid so DH has been briefed on key dtd days 😂. I’ve had no side effects, just my anxiety levels have gone through the roof and I am worrying about the tiniest of things in life. Probably not helped by moving house. Xx

intrigued2018 · 07/03/2018 14:22

Hey all,

I hope you are well.

Just a quick question, have any of you suffered from anxiety taking Clomid? I have always been an anxious person overthinking everything but I am finding it has gone through the roof this last week about things that wouldn't normally play on my mind. I am on CD 12 so should be DTD as much as possible but the anxiety is playing on my mind that I feel I could just sit and cry - I don't feel like DH would understand either and just say for me to not worry which I am trying to do but its not working. I am only on 50mg of Clomid xxx

Hi ladies.

Joining this thread as my GP has recently confirmed I have PCOS. Had the scans done last month and my follow up appt. a couple weeks ago.
Having my day 21 bloods done next week to check my hormones properly and then she's referring me to Gynae as she thinks I may also have Endo 😣

I'm a bit clueless to it all so just gonna have a nosey on here, any info about ANYTHING at all I would really appreciate. She's spoken about meds and stuff but nothing in any proper detail yet!

PickettBowtruckles · 09/03/2018 11:19

Thought I’d update also - AF finally arrived on CD100! Weirdly was totally painless as well which is unusual for me! Anyway GP now thinks it’s not PCOS as my bloods came back at relatively normal levels, so she said although I have polycystic ovary appearance I don’t have the hormone imbalance to go with it. Going for 21 day bloods in a few weeks but not sure they’ll be much help when my last cycle was 100 days! Also confirmed although there are lots of cysts on both ovaries I can’t be referred for any help for a year from trying so have another 6 months of waiting to see really!

Chooklass · 10/03/2018 18:27

Ok if I join? Was diagnosed with PCOS (& endo) last week and just getting my head round it. I'm lucky and have regular cycles but bleed lots in between and have bad skin, difficulty losing weight, hair loss on head (but hairs on chin - wtf!). Been ttc c.10 months now. There are loads of books online about PCOS diets - has anyone tried any and what do you think? The one I've just looked at cuts out all dairy for 3 months, as well as all the usual low GI stuff. No dairy sounds quite tough but I'm willing to try anything at the moment! X

CantThink1 · 18/03/2018 20:14

Hi girls, all a bit quiet on the thread, hope everyone is doing ok?

I have a question but feel a stupid asking Hmm when you take OPKs can the line get darker as you get closer to it from ovulation?

I have confirmed PCOS. TTC for over a year, currently on metformin month 5 and had my first period in a long time that lasted just 1 week (usually 2wks+) and I only waited 65 days for it (usually 150+ days) so it all feels promising!

Ovulation tests, I have had numerous blood tests all come back saying that I haven’t ovulated. And scince taking metformin I have been using OPKs regularly but all came back negative. Usually absolutely no second line at all. Today I took an ovulation test and there is a line that I didn’t have to look for, it was just there!! It wasn’t as dark as the control line but it was there. Which got me wondering, can the line get darker as you get closer to or from ovulation?

Chooklass · 19/03/2018 06:37

Hey @CantThink1 My opk's often get darker up to ov, then fade pretty fast after. Sometimes they stay nearly +ve for days before! X

Hopeislost · 21/03/2018 10:18

Welcome @Chooklass!

I don't do OPKs as my GP told me that they weren't reliable for PCOS so I temp instead.

As for diet, I am trying to cut carbs and sugar to target my insulin resistance and lose some weight. It is difficult but it's definitely improving my energy levels. I ate some bread yesterday and ended up needing an afternoon nap as I was so tired.

Alicejj8x · 22/03/2018 14:24

Sorry for my delay in posts.

We have just found out we have had MMC after seeing a heart beat last Wednesday unfortunately today we found out there is now no heart beat and baby is only measuring 5w6d even thou I should be around 8-9 weeks pregnant

I am so sorry for everyone's losses and so so happy for everyone's bfp xx

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 22/03/2018 14:50

I'm so sorry Alice XX

intrigued2018 · 22/03/2018 16:30

Devastated for you and DH Alice, sending big hugs x

Alicejj8x · 22/03/2018 16:41

I don't know how to feel I feel numb

This has happened before and I just think is there something wrong with me

CantThink1 · 25/03/2018 21:15

Sorry to hear your news Alice x

Alicejj8x · 25/03/2018 21:35

Thank you everyone.

I have choose medical management as I had this last time so fingers crossed it'll work again

AmyL88 · 27/03/2018 14:17

Oh @Alicejj8x I am so sorry to hear that. Is that your second MMC? Go easy on yourself x

I am having a tough time at the moment, Currently CD38 and NO sign of AF. My cycles on clomid previous months were around 28-32 days and for some reason they are now getting longer. Only difference is this month i started on metformin too so wondering if that is having an impact. I am so desperate to fall pregnant again, why is it this hard :-(

Alicejj8x · 27/03/2018 14:33

@AmyL88 thank you so much ! Yeah this is my second MMC! So so crap isn't it :( I get to like 6 weeks each time
And then this happens! So we've now gone private for progesterone blood test cause the nhs won't offer any help until I've had 3 which I don't want to get to my 3rd one :(
I opted for medical management which I am doing Friday again :(

Oh no bless you. Didn't they give you any tablets to help you have a period and then take clomid?.. coz my cycles are every 3 months ( I was put on metformin first and fell preg) but if I hadn't fallen preg I would of gone onto clomid and they would of given me a tablet to have a bleed in order to then take the clomid?..
that's so upsetting I really hope AF comes for you soon. How long you been on metformin for ?..

Have you got pregnant before at all? I feel for you it's so so hard isn't it :( and so rubbish but I promise you our time will be here again soon! Xxxxxx

AmyL88 · 27/03/2018 14:49

I really feel your pain, I have had one MMC at 12 weeks, One early MC and a very perfect 5 year old boy who was conceived naturally, Makes me wonder what has changed!

I think the medial management is the best option, was for me anyway! I just didn't want to have to deal with it at home. I have heard of ladies taking baby asprin for Reoccurring MC's have you heard that?

No since i have been on clomid my cycles have been regular and i haven't needed anything else but i have been on metformin since early Feb. Wish my body would sort itself out!

Alicejj8x · 27/03/2018 16:12

Oh bless you I am so sorry for your losses but so happy that you have you son :)

Oh no I haven't heard about baby aspirin maybe this is something I will look into.

Oh okay did you have yours done at hospital?..
I managed mine at home the first time and I will also be doing the same when I take the tablet again Friday. It's just horrible isn't it but right now I just want it to be over and done with if you get me as I cannot change anything I just feel so bad and even more down that I have to carry it around inside still if you get me without sounding to harsh

Ohh okay I see! How annoying I hope they sort themselfs out for you too!! That is so annoying
I need to try get mine back on track too ahah after this tablet I duno if there kick start back to being on track or what will happen with them lol

AmyL88 · 29/03/2018 11:29

AF arrived yesterday at CD39...!! Angry Seems as though my cycles are getting longer on clomid than shorter! Only positive is my Period seems to be heavier which is a relief as the last few cycles its been so light, so i am thinking this has something to do with the acupuncture .

How is everyone else getting on?

@Alicejj8x I had my wires crossed on earlier post. I didn't have the medical management i had surgery (ERPC) i felt exactly like you , once i had found out there wasnt a heartbeat i just wanted it to be out and over with. I was lucky in the sense of getting an emergency appt as i wasnt coping well! Good luck for tomorrow Flowers

intrigued2018 · 31/03/2018 09:37

Alice - I hope everything went okay for you yesterday Flowers

Sorry your AF arrived Amy, Fingers crossed for next cycle. I’ve considefed acupuncture or reflexology? How did it go?

I have just finished cycle 1 on Clomid which had minimal impact except get my hopes up as I had spotting on CD22, CD28, 29 & 30 but no BFP! About to start Clomid cycle 2, gynae wants to scan at CD14 - does anyone know if this is internal and external or just external? X

intrigued2018 · 31/03/2018 09:38

Meant to say the scan at CD 14 is to see if I have ovulated x
