Aww yesterday had ma scan nd we saw heartbeat soooo emotional xxx next scan in 3 weeks, they told me to ma app with gp nd say am pregnant lol nd ma expected delivery day is 10.08.18 just 3 days b4 ma OH bday

Dinks I loved scotland this summer and will be definitely coming back. Couldn’t believe how nice it’s up there. Glad u had nice time ❤️

@Dbear35 I meant the immunology testing. I'm so new to this that I don't know how common it is, but it's one of the things our clinic offers. We're not going to do it this round but may consider for future if things don't work out.

I am happy to report that I am a lot better 😀. I stayed home and done nothing. Will be getting my computer and stay home for the rest of the week and then I am on holiday. My OH is indulging me on everything bless him. I feel strong and positive again. Thank you all for your kind, comforting words 😘😘😘.

Atik bless you I am so happy for you! How wonderful!! How far are you now? What are you doing for the holiday? I know your husband is Muslim but you aren't cooking and all I hope? Just take care of yourself. One thing I realised from yesterday is that we are fragile 😘😍👍✨🌹.

Dinks thank you, I know. Your story, although terrible helped me a great deal to put things in perspective. So thank you so very much. Scotland? Wow I love Scotland too! So much so that we rented a huge house in the Isle of Skye for a week next June. I love trekking/climbing. I love wild landscapes 😁. This year we did the Lake District for the second time in a row for a week. I absolutely love it there!

Minster every time you share a bit more of your story I feel so honoured to know you, for you are an example of courage and strong soul. The pics of your WE do look quite special and I am glad you had a fabulous time! One week to go for your announcement! How do you both feel about that?

Janefx40 believe when I tell you this whole thing was totally alien to me for one main reason; I never take medicine - not even a Nurofen or whatever it is called again, don't drink alcohol or coffee,never had an internal until this year and I am 44. I am into Meditation and Yoga, so it was utterly bonkers for me to consider all this. Once you start the injections you will see that it is very easy and doesn't hurt. Just an inconvenience as you have to plan around it. Then it is step by step. Arguing with OH is part of it also since we are more emotional and they don't really know how to help, bless them. The ladies on here explained/clarified each milestone for me with lots of encouragement. I was blessed. You will be fine and once you start it does go fast! 😁

A was just scared soo much cz a stared hv seriously bad pain under stomach lyk summa guna blow up der den a felt sick nd a felt a need toilet. Den a was need to fink shall a first sit on the toilet BT then a will sick on the floor ( didn't fink at any bucket) or shall a first put ma face der lol BT yhh a was need to sit nd just keep breathing to not sick.. Nd then a felt lyk tooooo much air went around ma stomach making dis loud noise inside nd then a had diarrhoea (tmi) BT dat makes me scared cz the lain was rly bad nd then a was need sick too... BT no bleeding thank God... Is that normal?

Yes darling Atik I have been told yesterday that the hormone changes on our body can cause lots of different things and it is never the same experience from one woman to another. Diarrhoea and constipation is one of them! Happy days hey? Lots of wind with hormones that's what it is! Are you better now? 😘

Atik do you still take pessaries?

I can completely understand you were scared Atik I was petrified yesterday, well in my own way. How many weeks are you now? Pessaries will help to get more symptoms I guess. Do you know for how long more you will need to take pessaries?

atik I’m so pleased for you, a heartbeat! Amazing!! So glad you are reassured, it’s so emotional isn’t it, and those 3 weeks will fly by with Xmas in between to the next one!! 10.8.18, that’s close to ours that we know at the minute, we have another scan on Thursday at 9 weeks just to check a private one so we can tell ppl,

Ppl literally have no idea we have “found a surrogate” most don’t know we did the IVF, some of DH’s family don’t even twig I can’t carry so need a surrogate let alone that it’s possible though highly difficult in the UK so we are going blow minds all round, then ask them to keep it secret until we tell more ppl after 12 weeks. But we’ve been keeping it secret for over a year, 2.5 if u count when my friend 1st said she’d consider it at my hen do!!

star soooooooooo glad u are relaxed, u & your OH sound so strong

jane immunology wasn’t oftered to us as NHS but everywhere is so different it’s grear to discuss everything here, we realised we were so naive!! We took it as no miracle cure for eating right, just be healthy as that’s how everyone else gets pregnant but each to their own & we “were fortunate??” To be told without trying for years it would have fruitless anyway without intervention!! So I’m all up for adding science & drugs!!

atik & star our clinic took a diff approach to pessaries & all medications & all was stopped after running out after viability scan which was at 7 weeks so my friend stopped everything at 7.4 weeks & we are pleased it’s now “her body recognising the pregnancy”??!!! Though I was 💩💩💩!!!

Minster my period didn’t arrive so that’s good. Appointment was horrible as it was a colposcopy. My last smear wasn’t perfect and they needed to check better. So done biopsy and all this and they lost everything 😡 so been rebooked and done it today. Worried AF. If it’s bad. If this means I am going to have problems during pregnancy or even cancelled fet? It’s like crazy thinking..
Also puppy is unwell and going to book her in tomorow and it will cost a fortune.. I am off work and he is already on holiday so not great to spend extra cash but can’t see her suffering..

But on the plus side....today I got my passport back and I am officially a resident here!!!! You don’t have an idea what it means to feel like a person again. I can actually look for job now or book tickets home or just stop worrying about getting refusal after spending here 10 years. Huge weight off my shoulders.

aliona that sounds horrible, v worrying & rubbish darling, but at this stage they are still just finding out so it could be ok? Could still be good news U don’t know. & it might mean nothing for FET, try not to think about it until u get results that’s what I do as at this stage it’s just worry & speculation

Also, i’ll prob end up being on this thread forever as I’m going back into my clinic for a blood test for my AMH today as I can’t havd my treatment at the minute due to being ill in Nov & only having 1 embryo left I’m asking my oncologist tomorrow if we can use this “enforced break” from my cancer treatment as another chance for egg retrieval before baby arrives but as per usual she was like “your AMH was so low last year we’ll start with that to see if it’s feasible...” and do the fun begins again🙈

She taken biopsy so must have noticed something. Anyway there is no smoke without fire so I am little upset. I am sure it’s not dramatic but that’s something I wish wasn’t not happening but hey, life is a B. There was pregnant woman there before me and she was saying that due date-end of January. And few min later doc was like “erm.. u know that it’s all on and u already 1sm and u gonna have baby b4 xmas?!” Lol poor woman’s face when they admitted her.
I bought OH good trainers as he mentioned he wanted, missing games of thrones dvd and Star Wars, tickets to see Star Wars and a tablet, as his phone getting slow but due to his dirty job I don’t want a new phone. Coz I got my papers back I want to go home but means express services visa for him needed and this cost 250+ also tickets now like 700 min for 2.. seems like a lot of money to spend in a rush..not sure. How’s your situation? 😅😅😅

Oh Aliona that’s so funny about that woman! I’d have paid to see her face, I bet she thought she could get Xmas out of the way then baby! It’s tough though as a month early is not great surely?

That’s a lot of stuff for your DH, we are not giving much (as we have a baby to pay for and surrogacy expenses that run into thousands) so we are trying to be good. All you need is love and all that!! I hope your puppy dog is ok, they are expensive, cockerpoo today had his Christmas groom today that’s bad enough!! See attached pics, I take him in looking very bedraggled covered in half a field...he comes back looking dead smart!! 🤣

Also, there’s a sneak peek of my scratch cards!! I’m full of great creative ideas that don’t happen but DHs family at Xmas always have lottery scratch cards on Xmas day so I thought we’d go our own twist on it, underneath are stamped symbols which relate to a prize board I will reveal & try & film & photo their reactions! That’s the plan anyway!!

And DH has just put a present under the tree for me...it looks like a dog has already eaten it let alone a human has wrapped it 🤣🙈

Yes, no money and better to save for future but it’s xmas. At the end of the day I don’t go out and don’t spend money on that so xmas is fine 🙃 booked tickets home for 2 days. So another 500 down just for flights. He can go without visa only for few days, so that’s why going only for weekend to see mum.. thinking how to bring meds with me 🤔🤔

Yes having baby early not great but he said something to her abt giving her steroids to help and develop babies lungs. So I guess knowing baby is coming they can do something about it..

Doggy looks like my teddy in the bedroom. Lol but I reckon this look won’t last. Mine fluffy b.stard been taken to vet, paid 125£ to get her antibiotics ☹️ So fingers crossed she will feel better soon. She wasn’t very pleased with thermometer up her bum 😂😂 the look she gave to vet was priceless and made him ask us if she needs a muzzle 😂😂😂😂 the answer “she haven’t bitten anyone ever” wasn’t very convincing.

But you get to go home that’s great! You just need a letter from your clinic & a needle/sharps bin, maybe a copy of the prescription, I travel with needles for most flights & an accompanying letter & it’s fine, u have to have in hand luggage.

Appointment was fine, saw lovely nurse we saw before who seemed so pleased it had worked! But no I don’t get results til into the New Year so I guess I can try relax bout it.

We have a private 9 week scan tomorrow booked for last thing but first is my oncology appointment with my consultant to discuss my horrendous bout of illness & now not being allowed treatment, & telling her the IVF has worked as we’ve not seen her since, my 12 weekly CT scan results for my tumours, oh & seeing if she’ll agree to me having this break in treatment to try & retrieve more eggs as at the minute I’ve only spoken to the IVF side in advance of this appointment tomorrow.

So it’s a scary one followed by excitement of hopefully seeing a good scan to then tell ppl 😁 but it’s a loooong day at hospital for me tomorrow

I feel like I've missed so much - trolls and all!

I've been away for a few days in Devon, it was lovely. Very nice to catch up with family and friends. Quite surprised that my mum didn't guess anything as my stomach is getting quite big. I keep reading that you should only have bloating at 8 weeks, and no actual bump, but my stomach just keeps growing...!

You have a scan today, I think? We do too. I'm off for our 8.5 week scan at 11am. I feel calmer than I did at the last one, but I think a few nerves will always creep in...

I was hoping I could join in? I've read as far back as this thread so know most of your stories :)

We are on an IVF journey with PGD, which was started over 3 years ago and we still don't have a date for collection. We then have to wait around 6 month before FET. It's becoming frustrating now. Especially as we were meant to have our final PGD clinick before getting a date for collection in December, we weren't put on it, I was told they would let us know by this Wednesday (yesterday) if there would be a January one and the date, I heard nothing so called today and the secretary is off until the new year now! So I've no idea now if we are on the January clinic or not . Sorry #vent!
