Hi daphne not sure how that works really will you be having ICSI? If you are monitored with scans they can let you know if you have overstimmed and then you could skip that month if you are worried about twins. They say losing just even a small amount of weight can increase your chances. But if my BMI is 19 and I still can't ovulate or get pregnant so not how that works out?!

Feeling in such a rubbish mood. I don't feel like Clomid has worked for me, I've had no symptoms, side effects, I wouldn't even know id taken them. DH got home at 3.30am from work so we missed DTD CD9 as advised by the consultant so we did it this morning instead. Not sure whether to carry on every other day now or stick to the days we were told (9, 11, 13, 15?) Sorry for being a negative nelly. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get my positive hat back on!

Hi daphne, welcome to the thread (but sorry you're here because of PCOS). We're all at different stages in our TTC journeys, but we're very much familiar with all PCOS symptoms and know what yo're going through. The excess hair and mid-section fat are the most annoying for me Sad

I'm in the lower healthy BMI range (20.1), but years ago my BMI was about 23. Last year I took Inositol for a few months but stopped because it didn't seem to help. A few months later I got pregnant (which sadly ended in a MC in Jan). I've just started TTC again and these are the changes I've made: taking Inositol since Jan, eating as healthy as possible (avoiding carbs, no refined sugars, almost no coffee, alcohol only occasionally), exercising (every day for a few months, slowed down a bit now) and charting my temperatures. I lost over 8 pounds since January and ovulated naturally twice according to my temps so all these changes seem to have helped. The doctor I saw recommended Metmorfin, but I'm giving it a go without it for a few months because the side effects don't sound great. GPs are usually clueless when it comes to PCOS, at least from my experience. Stress is a huge factor as it affects all other hormones and triggers the body's fight-or-flight response by putting ovulation on hold and switching to 'basic functions' mode. A few ladies here found reflexotherapy and acupuncture very helpful, but I haven't tried them.

The route you take very much depends on what your blood test results are (full hormonal profile, not just progesterone). A good doctor will have a good look at those and make recommendations.

Sorry I can't provide more medical information, I'm trying to use more 'natural' remedies for a few months.

If there's anything you want to know, ask away Smile The ladies on this thread are very kind and helpful, you're in good company Wink

Happy Friday!

If it helps Slady I had no symptoms either. Or any EWCM. Due to travel we dtd on CD 12,13,14 and 15 and that was it. Got my bfp a couple of weeks ago. So I wouldn't worry about missing CD9

SLady · 02/06/2017 15:35

Thanks changing that makes me feel better! Need to keep thinking positive! How are you feeling? Getting on well I hope

Iamchanging · 02/06/2017 15:48

I'm good thanks slady. Still hardly dare believe it to be honest, poke my boobs at least 10 times a day to check they're still sore!! Threw up for the first time this morning which actually made me really excited - only us crazies who have wanted this for so long would be happy to be sick!! Scan a week today at 7 + 1 - just can't wait!

SLady · 02/06/2017 16:09

Oh I can imagine changing so pleased everything is progressing nicely and will be so exciting to see your little bean on screen. Are you paying privately for the early scan or do you get one included with your fertility clinic?

Iamchanging · 02/06/2017 16:20

I'm lucky that I get one included from the clinic. Probably to check there's not 10 in there!!!!! Grin

SLady · 02/06/2017 16:35

Hahaha...might not be so bad...least you'd never have to even think about TTC ever again!! 😂 Wink

ElizabethCatherine · 02/06/2017 16:39

Welcome @daphne5694 :)

@SLady hang in there it's only the beginning of clomid for you isn't it, it may take a few times for your body to properly respond and get used to having a new medication in it. Don't loose hope! X

@Iamchanging I will totally be the same, I'll probably be throwing up and crying of joy at the same time lol!

For anyone who is interested in connecting on Instagram I'm starting out a page of my fertility journey. It's not just about trying to conceive I'll be posting motivational things about self love, mental health, raising awareness for people who are going through similar journeys weather it's trying to gain back fertility or having more self love for yourself. Also will probably include a bit about foods and things that are good for people with PCOS. I'll be starting to see a counsellor next Monday so will post posts about our conversations along the way (about dealing with different thoughts we have with depression and anxiety) so hopefully I'll be able to connect with like minded ladies and be there to help and support each other. My username is the.perfect.balance

Barsons83 · 02/06/2017 17:59

Think I'm out this month as am starting to spot. With being 3 days late was starting to be hopeful but just feel really down now. Move on to Letrozole this month and should start ivf in September

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/06/2017 18:40

SLady, if you don't wana miss anything I'd advice cd10-20, every other day. If we'd stopped at cd15 we would have missed it. I think that is what happened to me cycle before this successful one.

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/06/2017 18:41

Barsons, i spotted from the day before my BFP for almost a week. You're not out yet. Have you taken a first response test?

Barsons83 · 02/06/2017 22:22

Hi Boggle,
I did on Wednesday, two days late and then this morning a superdrug early test but both bfns. Think i will come on as its getting heavier when i wipe and is bright red. I feel exhausted and nipples are still sore but must just be af symptoms

YouBoggleMyMind · 02/06/2017 23:39

Oh sorry Barsons Sad
At least you start letrozole straight away?

SLady · 03/06/2017 00:14

Sorry to hear that barsons Sad sending hugs

SLady · 03/06/2017 00:17

Thanks boggle feeling less upset that I missed CD9 now. Got myself so worked up because I'd specifically been told that day and we missed it. CD10 to CD20 every other day it is!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 03/06/2017 09:59

I'd be very surprised if you ovulated as early as cd9?

SLady · 03/06/2017 10:28

Me too. I had been getting cramps which have stopped now but I think it's all in my head you know?! I'll make sure I start earlier next month anyway. If DH has a good sperm count is it okay to DTD everyday or is it best to still do EOD? (Sorry for all the DTD talk!) I know it worked for changing. Every other seems too far away in peak time!!

Iamchanging · 03/06/2017 10:36

I just went with what my doctor said slady which is every day. However I think other people have been told every other day to keep sperm quality high. So the jury is out I think!!

SLady · 03/06/2017 11:02

Yes I think so changing I need to just relax and stop overthinking!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 04/06/2017 13:42

ElizabethCatherine, I can't find your Instagram 🙁

Barsons83 · 04/06/2017 15:09

Thanks guys. AF started properly today so can start Letrozole tomorrow

SLady · 04/06/2017 19:38

Sorry barsons Flowers
Onwards and upwards, sending you all the positive vibes! FX for the Letrozole, great news you can get started tomorrow

daphne5694 · 04/06/2017 23:09

Hi all - thanks for the welcomes and to @lookingforhope and @SLady for the messages!

Stress is what worries me because I don't seem to be able to avoid it at the moment - jobs, unwell family members, financial insecurity (which makes it sound like not a great time to have a baby, but I know that since waiting lists & sorting out my PCOS will take so long, we need to start now!). lookingforhope , where did you get the Inositol? I've only seen it advertised on slightly weird-looking websites.

Right now I'm frustrated with myself because I know I need day 21 and day 3 blood test results but my cycle won't oblige with a sodding period!
