Hello. Looking for other ladies (or men!) who are IVF cycling with the Victoria Wing at Nuffield Woking either privately or NHS to share what happens, how it's going, any tips (what's the car parking like?!), to support one another and success stories of course. My stats:
Geeup
Aged 34
Ttc #1 for 22 cycles so far (4 with Clomid)
OH has low morphology MFI (but it's varied)
NHS cycle - first appt 31st Jan with Dr Riddle
One question to get us going, anyone know what the policy is about having 2 embryos put in on first cycle? Thanks!

Good advice darcy. I start stims tomorrow and next scan is Monday morning.

morning all, I Had my second progress scan and my lining was 9.1 and I had 10 follicles, 5 on each side.
Right side - 9,9,9,11,14
Left side- 13,11,10,9,8

Scan on Friday will determine if egg collection will still be Monday or moved to weds. I remain on 300 menopur.
Long way to go but I'm happy 😊

I still have the 1 on the left and now 6 showing on the right from 9 to 14mm. Lining is 8.7mm. They said they will confirm on Friday whether EC will be Monday or Wednesday.

I'm happy too that things are progressing well.

Well done you two. At this rate you'll be in next door rooms for egg collection!!

Thank you mrsdarcy. I have to say it was comforting to have everyone on this group going through the journey no matter what stage they were at but there is something really nice with going through it at the same time as someone.

Not sure what is going on today but I am so bloated and the area near my ovaries are very tender. I'm drinking lots of water and peeing every half an hour to an hour.

How are you feeling 8um8le8ee?

I feel much better today, the tiredness has lifted, I am feeling bloated and a bit uncomfortable lower abdomen but not too bad.

Hi mrsdarcy. I'm still bloated and very aware of my ovaries, they aren't as tender as yesterday thankfully. I have been feeling quite tired and I think that's down to the meds and lack of exercise. I used to do high intensity workouts 4 times a week and now I only do yoga, swimming and walking so I do feel less energetic. I'm going to go swimming tonight coz it will be the last time I can go for a while with EC and ET coming up and I'm hoping that will give me boost.

That's great your feeling better, hopefully mine will pass. Good luck for tomorrow too, hopefully we will both have EC on Monday and that would mean only 4 more days of injections!

So it's OTD and I got a BFP! So shocked as I was sure that all the AF style cramps I was feeling meant it hadn't worked! It's also so weird to finally see positive pregnancy tests (obviously I did a few to be sure ) after so long TTC with nothing!!

Feeling obviously very happy and super lucky that it worked first time....but also so so nervous! It feels like it was a bit too easy and I'm sure something is going to go wrong! For now I'll just take it one day at a time!

Morning all, I had a different person scanning me today and she found me really tricky to scan, she kept huffing and puffing so I feel a bit low after. She could only see 9 today whereas I had 10 on weds and they are between 9-16 mm so egg collection won't be happening Monday. Few more days of stims for me. I don't mind that but I had booked mon tues off work and arranged cover so now I dong know if o should cancel that and spend time today trying to find cover for weds Thursday instead or keep Mon and tues off and then take rest of week off sick and let my manager worry about cover.
I feel really bloated and uncomfortable today so worried by Monday it will be even worse.

Morning.

I had a different person scanning me too and she was up there for ages, she couldn't get a good pic of my lining. All is good with the lining apparently it's nice and thick. Follies on the left are 15mm and a new one at 6, on my right i have 6 at 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17mm. My EC will be Wednesday too. Grrr more days of injections and swollen ovary feeling! But I shouldn't complain as it's working and I'm a step closer to having a baby.

How funny 8um8le8ee, I'm glad it's not just me she was taking ages with.

I've been sore all day with pains but I had acupuncture tonight and she used a heat lamp on my abdomen and it really made me so much more comfortable so tonight I'm under the hot water bottle - I recommend it!

How is everyone feeling? I actually feel ok. I'm hoping tomorrow I'm ok for egg collection Wednesday.

The more I think about my Friday scan the more unhappy I am though. Basically on weds I had 10 follicles from 8 to 14 mm. On Friday a new lady scammed me. She was having real problems and was doing a lot of sighing. She started off saying I had a 20 on the left and an 11 and then said that is actually the right side and on the left I had 5 biggest was 12. But when she finished and she went over to my notes and saw what I had weds she changed her measurements so the 20 was now a 16 and on right she added two more at 9. If she had actually seen these on the scan why would she not say while scanning me as I was writing them down? I can't help but think she just made them up so it coincided more with what I had weds. Am I reading too much into it?

Sorry you're feeling worried darcy. I really wouldn't read too much into it. It's in there interest to give you the best possible treatment so would be amazed if they weren't as accurate as humanly possible. Hopefully the biggest issue was she was just a bad communicator.
I'm in for a scan in the morning. Really hoping I don't have collection before Friday due to a work commitment.

I agree with Geeup MrsDarcy, try not to worry. One of the nurses said to me once that although they all get taught to measure them the same it can vary from person to person. I doubt you'd have less of that any would've shrunk so you can take the most optimistic view!

I'm feeling very tired! I am still suffering with quite strong cramps, especially at night so they keep breaking my sleep. They're also making me a little nervous and our viability scan seems a long way off (18th July)! Hoping that it's just more implantation/stretching!

mrsdarcy it's probably best to not worry as flamingo and geeup have said. If you are unsure about anything tomorrow then just ask one of the nurse for a 2nd opinion as the last thing you want is this worrying feeling.

I have been speaking to the OH and he is a little concerned so he has said that if it's the same nurse tomorrow then ask to be seen by someone else. For one they are in our most intimate of areas and we are uncomforatble as it is. I'm usually quite upfront but I'm not sure if I have the guts to ask for someone else so I might phone in first thing to ensure I don't have her. I think her name was Dawn. She didn't seem horrible or anything but maybe she needs a bit more training.

flamingo I think the cramps are normal, when I fell pregnant I didn't test until 5 weeks as i had cramps and felt that AF would come at any moment. If you are concerned then speak to one of the nurses.

geeup good luck with the timings. It's so difficult to commit to anything. I have had to cancel going to a company meeting in Lille, a wedding and a engagement party. It's better to be safe than sorry though.

Thanks all its good to get some perspective. They checked my oestrogen again so even if she had made up my folicle size it sort of doesn't matter anyway.

I had today and tomorrow booked as time off with work for egg collection so may still take it off and just have an extra couple days at home. Will see how I feel after the scan.

Flamingo I've heard the period cramping can continue for a few days so hopefully all is ok.

Hope your scan goes well darcy. I have 7 follicles showing so I'm pretty much exactly where I was this time last cycle. Good triple layer lining over 8mm so that's fine too. Just have to keep going and expecting collection still on Friday. Would have liked more of course but the nurse said quality over quantity etc.
