Clomid anyone else?

I'm on 2nd cycle of clomid (50mg CD2-6) and am on CD7 now - anyone else out there the same?!

I'm on 150mg too. This is our last chance though really. IVF won't be funded as we already have a child.

It is frustrating. I hope we get our lucky break this time.

doomkittycleo · 31/12/2016 00:11

Hey , how's everyone doing? I'm 5dpo and trying not to symptom spot. Bit fed up as yet another friend told me she is pregnant today. So that's 3 friends who have been pregnant in less than 6 months, one of them with twins. Two of them it's their second.

Here's me been trying since before their first children were conceived and still no luck yet. Sad

YouBoggleMyMind · 31/12/2016 09:41

I totally understand your sadness and frustration kitty. I am so ready to put this year behind me.

doomkittycleo · 31/12/2016 10:23

Here's to hoping for lots of 2017 BFP's.

KP86 · 31/12/2016 12:17

I haven't been back on this thread for a couple of months. I'm about to start cycle 3 (first tab tomorrow), 50mg. I got a new script from the Oxford Online Pharmacy, it was £25 for the 'consultation' and £15 for 2 months' supply of tablets.

I was so sure last month worked, I had one day of brown mucky bleeding at CD26, convinced myself it was implantation and then started bleeding properly a week later.

I have fingers and toes crossed for us all.

jellyella · 31/12/2016 13:02

Hi all

It's so frustrating doom when that happens, I feel your pain.

I've just started cycle 2 of 50mg. I've only got a prescription for three cycles in total, then it's back to the gynae. I had an HSG test a couple of months back which showed I had a blocked right Fallopian tube: but I'm not sure if they'll look to operate / fix that or just move us onto IVF.

Fingers crossed that 2017 is the year it all changes, for us all.

KP86 · 01/01/2017 15:41

Has anyone been using pre-seed lubricant to help their cycles? I have quite a bit of CM already, do you think it would help us?

doomkittycleo · 01/01/2017 18:26

KP I think from what I've read I'd only use it if you are short of ewcm. It can help, but the real thing is better.

Some women (not many, but some) it can interfere with their natural cm.

KP86 · 01/01/2017 18:43

That's what I suspected from my little bit of research.

I am going to be tracking using OPKs from day 10 onwards, and might use a moon cup to keep the swimmers in the right spot around ovulation. It will make me feel like I'm doing something to help!

We fell pregnant first cycle of Clomid last time (25mg, even) so I'm feeling a bit frustrated and disappointed in myself that we've been trying since the beginning of the 2016, and very concerted efforts since July (as in, DTD for two weeks straight each month, and using Clomid for two of those cycles) and it hasn't happened yet.

It's nothing compared to some other people, I know, but I'm surrounded by family and friends who are all having second and third kids at the moment and I'm very envious!

Figroller · 01/01/2017 21:19

I've tried pre-seed kp and it didn't work for me. I've bought some conceive plus to try this month as I've been suffering with thrush since taking clomid. Ended up getting antibiotics from gp and hopefully it's clear now. I've tried moon cups after as well. Haha I've tried it all I think.

Had a mini breakdown this morning, think it was just new year emotions. Dh admitted how much he wanted a baby too which he never really says and we ended up having a really good talk which made me feel better in the end.

It's so hard not to feel envious of others. My sister started trying for her second after me and she's now planning her third. I'm lucky I already have a child but I would love another.

How many dpo are you know Doom? Any symptoms?

Took my first dose of clomid today. I almost forgot whoops.

doomkittycleo · 01/01/2017 22:37

Thanks for asking Fig I'm 7dpo, just a few twinges, like a slight scratchy/pressure feeling, but I often get that so don't wanna read to much into it.

KP if you read up a bit, I feel your pain. One of my friends announced another pregnancy 2 days ago. So frustrating isn't it.

I'm so glad your DP is speaking openly with you Fig, just shows you're on the same page. My DP thinks talking about it just puts more pressure/stress on it all, so although he will talk about it, he thinks it'll just make me emotional so he avoids it.

He did well up earlier at an old only fools and horses episode when Cassandra had hers and Rodney's little girl 😭🙂. X

KP86 · 01/01/2017 22:44

fig, I also took my first dose today, but am on CD5, not 2. Hopefully we will both get our BFPs at the same time. I saw that this is your last attempt, I really do wish you all the best.

I'm hoping I don't turn into a slightly crazy person this month, last cycle I was very on edge during the week of taking the tablets.

Figroller · 01/01/2017 23:00

I remember that episode Doom, very emotional. I hope your tww goes quickly and you get a big fat BFP at the end of it. I always find the first week goes really quick and then it drags.

Do you start your clomid on day 5 then Kp? Do you still take it for 5 days? Thank you for the well wishes. It would be the best new year ever if we all got our BFP's together.

KP86 · 02/01/2017 09:33

I'm doing it 5-9 for this cycle, which is what I did first time around, but if I'm unsuccessful again will try 2-6 for next month.

doomkittycleo · 03/01/2017 19:36

Hi all, just checking in, 9dpo and nothing out of the ordinary 😕. How's everyone else doing?

accidentalgrownup · 03/01/2017 20:14

CD19 here....did opk today and the very faintest line ever. I thought I ov'd around CD21 but since starting clomid I've not had ewcm to tell me so. BD'd on Sunday so really should be going again tonight but tbh I don't think either of us can be bothered with it being first day back to work etc. Hoping we don't miss it although I'm guessing with such a faint line tomorrow may be a better choice anyway. Who's in the 2ww?

doomkittycleo · 03/01/2017 20:42

Me Confused. I'm starting to stress. Got no real symptoms to speak of and the thought of continuing with this constant trying is getting me down.

It's 2 years this month and it feels like I've wasted so much time trying and not getting anywhere towards having a family.

Really just want that elusive BFP more than anything right now.

accidentalgrownup · 03/01/2017 21:03

I know what you mean....really trying not to get obsessed with days & dates & symptoms but it's hard not too. I had my coil taken out August 2015 so 16 months TTC so far.
I was thinking I might have a month off taking clomid next month just to give my body (and mind) and break. Fingers crossed for each and every one of you x

doomkittycleo · 04/01/2017 22:55

The 2ww is killing me now Sad. I've been having a few sharp pains on my left side, just above my pubic bone. But also feels a bit like af pains. I'm 10dpo so could be either af cramps or implantation.

Trying not to get my hopes up as I do every month.

KP86 · 05/01/2017 08:45

We all do it, kitty.

My body was quite cruel last month, I had one day of brown discharge on day 26, then nothing until a week or so later and proper AF started. I was feeling a bit ill and completely off coffee and so was really hopeful but I never got a BFP.

Fingers crossed you are back in a few days with your test to show off!

MmmMalbec · 05/01/2017 10:01

Just thought I'd check in on you all. Hope to see some BFPs soon. Sounds like you're not far off knowing doom so I have everything crossed for you.

I'm 6+4 now. I've been spotting on and off since last Friday which has been so stressful. I've been to the clinic for a scan this week and saw a little grain of rice with a bulging heartbeat so that's something but it's obviously still very early days. I have my next scan on Monday. If everything is ok then I'll be discharged to the normal midwife service. The whole process is such an awful rollercoaster.

Hoping for some good news for you all soon xx

KP86 · 05/01/2017 13:30

The wait between 4 and 12 weeks is the worst, isn't it!

But if it makes you feel better, I had a small amount of spotting at 6w with my Clomid baby, and he's now 2.8yo. I distinctly remember at the time saying oh my god to myself and then googling the hell out of it. I was rather frightened!

MmmMalbec · 05/01/2017 13:32

Yeah it's total crap KP. Worse that I didn't have it with DS so no experience of it. I'm on a thread and there are a few women who have it and have seen HBs too. Just hard when you don't know what's causing it. Thanks for your story!

Figroller · 05/01/2017 13:59

I really hope it works out for you Malbec, the fact that you saw the heartbeat sounds reassuring. Let us know how you get on with your next scan.

Hope everyone else is OK.

MmmMalbec · 05/01/2017 14:07

Thanks I will do. I feel like if this doesn't work out then I'm done with it all. It's been such a rollercoaster and it's just too draining. Good luck for this cycle xx
