I'm on 2nd cycle of clomid (50mg CD2-6) and am on CD7 now - anyone else out there the same?!

It still had 2 lines but not sure if dark enough for a positive or not. Will see if DP is up for BD again later. It's the big move tomorrow so we're both feeling a bit Confused

Footy1 · 24/11/2016 20:48

Good luck with the move doom! Hope you get a quickie in tonight. I'm on the case too! DH back an hour ago and I've let him sit down for an hour before I make my move Wink

doomkittycleo · 24/11/2016 22:32

I've been feeling some pretty prominent ovulation pains tonight. The 2 lines yesterday must have been my positive.

doomkittycleo · 25/11/2016 06:46

Opk is negative again so pretty sure I ovulated yesterday. That would match up with the ovulation pains last night. Only managed to BD once on Wednesday evening and used preseed because had very little ewcm. I guess the 2 week wait begins.

MmmMalbec · 25/11/2016 06:56

Good luck with the move doom. If you've BD the day before OV you're still in with a chance. I'm sure I've read that's statistically the best day to conceive!

Hope you managed some BDing too Footy!

Cd8 for me today. Really hoping I ovulate next week Smile

Clomid anyone else?
geeup · 25/11/2016 09:47

Hi footy. Apologies if I'm new to this thread - I can't remember which ones I lurk on and which I have introduced myself! Blush Just incase I'm 34 ttc#1 cycle 20 (3rd on clomid). Never had a bfp.
Anyway I wanted to say don't worry you may not have o-ed. Clomid makes my temps much higher at the beginning of my cycle and then they drop down around CD10-14 when I then ovulate and rise again. Just keep DTD!

Footy1 · 25/11/2016 13:49

Thanks geeup, I'm really hoping this is the case. My temps are usually slightly raised but not usually for this long and by this much. Never been over 36.50 before in the first part of cycle. Time will tell I guess. Yes I are right I'll keep dtd! Other half up for every other day so hoping I'll hit the jackpot.
Are your temps high like mine? Also what dosage are u?

geeup · 25/11/2016 22:47

Yes my temps go up to 36.85 - I'm only 50mg for 5 days.

MmmMalbec · 26/11/2016 07:51

Makes sense that your temps would be up to start though when they say one of the most common side effects is hot flushes!

MmmMalbec · 26/11/2016 09:45

I took clomid 50mg day 2-6 and today is day 9 and I got a really close to positive opk. Do you think it's the clomid throwing it off or a genuine result?!

Clomid anyone else?
Figroller · 26/11/2016 11:10

Do you usually have a short cycle Malbec? CD 9 is quite early but not impossible. I have heard that clomid can give false readings on opk's too though. I suppose all you can do is keep testing.

That's why I didn't bother with opk's this cycle I found it was stressing me out. Confused

Footy1 · 26/11/2016 11:23

Me too. My opks have been like that since cd4 up to today at cd10. I couldn't rely on them apart from the the first month on clomid they seemed pretty accurate then. I think if u ovulate later in cycle when the clomid had worn off then they are more reliable. Gyne told me to not use them just dtd every other day throughout cycle. He said if you get any EWCM or cramping mid cycle then to try a few days in a row.

everythingtoplayfor · 26/11/2016 11:44

Are sore nipples after ovulation a symptom of Clomid or do you think I could be preggers...? Confused

everythingtoplayfor · 26/11/2016 11:53

...just googled and it sounds like it's probably a side effect. Hmm DH got all stressed at the time I thought I was ovulating so we missed the window although we did it about 4 days before so still a slim chance...

MmmMalbec · 26/11/2016 12:02

Thanks everyone. No I don't normally ovulate until cd20 ish. I wasn't planning to do any OPKs this month but just randomly did one this morning. Won't be doing any more though because it's pointless and I have a scan on Monday anyway! We are just doing EOD anyway!

everything sore nipples is a common progesterone symptom so could be pregnancy or could not be!

MmmMalbec · 26/11/2016 12:03

I don't ovulate until late on a natural cycle I mean. This is my first clomid cycle!

Footy1 · 26/11/2016 12:28

Everything I was on another thread and a lady got her BFP having dtd only once 4 days before ovulation. So don't give up hope :)

doomkittycleo · 26/11/2016 18:49

My ovulation was earlier than usual this month which I think is due to Clomid. My gynaecologist did say that the aim is to get your ovulation to move as close to day 14 as possible because this is the optimum time for it to be of good quality.

My opk's felt right to be as although I didn't have much ewcm, I did have mega ovulation pains the same day and the day following my positive.

I only had 2 days of positives.

doomkittycleo · 26/11/2016 18:51

This is my chart today

Clomid anyone else?
Footy1 · 26/11/2016 19:12

Yes does look like u ovulated on 14th doom. Fingers crossed for you Xx

MmmMalbec · 26/11/2016 20:57

Looks good doom. How are you feeling about your chances this month? It would be lovely to see some xmas BFPs Smile

doomkittycleo · 26/11/2016 21:04

We only BD'd once the day before. I didn't have much ewcm, but did use preseed.

After trying for so long it's hard to get my hopes up, but at least I've got a lot to keep me occupied with settling into the new house, work, Christmas and x2 essays for a course I'm doing. The 2ww should go quick 🙂.

accidentalgrownup · 26/11/2016 21:36

CD13Star

DH was falling asleep in front of the telly so I had to act quick for a chance of BD lol, now he's snoring and I'm lying here trying to casually raise my legs in the air Grin

Gone are the days when we were out clubbing til all hours!

MmmMalbec · 27/11/2016 06:58

I'm glad you've got lots to keep you busy with doom. It only takes one swimmer Smile

Haha well done accidental! Definitely a change in lifestyle isn't it!

Cd10 today. Scan first thing in the morning. Got everything crossed for some good news 🙏🏼
