We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

Banana!!! Eek! Xx

loopylou1984 · 19/09/2016 20:54

Banana - you must be going crazy with all this, show us your FRER tomorrow??

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Xx

Paige43 · 19/09/2016 22:57

Had my second acupuncture appointment. Was ok, and I did feel relaxed although I have a slight cramping pain in the lower part of my stomach.

I think the lady is on the Zita West pay roll recommending all things Zita West! She was doing my head in my the end of it.

Night all x

loopylou1984 · 20/09/2016 06:54

Paige - mine just kept recommending diet changes. I did them because I figured it couldn't hurt. My IVF worked so who knows!
Good that you felt relaxed at this one though.

Banana - how are things looking this morning? Xx

Paige43 · 20/09/2016 08:15

Been trying to eat healthy, but had a bad weekend, ate loads of food and cheese.. First appointment is next Friday. Hopefully this will be the beginning of our journey whatever the outcome may be.

Happy Tuesday x

bananafish81 · 20/09/2016 08:32

Gah paige bloody Zita West! She really does my nut in with her overpriced vitamins / some of the crap she spouts in her book is desperately unhelpful IMO. Eating organic isn't going to help me get or stay pregnant - all it's doing is guilt tripping us into thinking there's another reason we're 'not trying hard enough'.

sammy FRER line definitely easily visible although I'm trying hard not to compare with last time, when the test line was darker than the control by this point! DH keeps reminding me that the Dr said every pregnancy is different - including different pregnancies in the same woman - and that we have been told it's the rate of doubling that matters, not the absolute level itself. And that the doubling rate is better than last time! Still absolutely pooping my pants. And hoping that if this isn't going to go anywhere that it ends sooner rather than later.

Started on metformin as per Dr's instructions and predictably as I've gone straight from zero to the higher miscarriage dose, it's not the most pleasant drug to be on. That said I can pretend to be reassured by feeling a bit queasy that it's an early pregnancy symptom, when of course it's just the met!! Confused

MrsRen · 20/09/2016 08:44

Morning All,

I had a 1-2 weeks on a digi this morning so DH now believes as he's seen it in words!

Very much taking it one day at a time and constantly worrying! Had a bit of pinkish discharge after dtd and we were both immediately argh why did we push our luck!

I've spoken to our surgery and the midwife doesn't wasn't to see me until 7 weeks which is 7th October but to pop in and get a pack and a urine pot for my appointment.

Banana - all is sounding positive!

friends123 · 20/09/2016 09:09

Huge congratulations Banana and Mrs Ren. Really pleased for you both. Hope everyone else is doing well? Xx

lucieloos · 20/09/2016 09:27

Yay that's good news banana and congrats to you too Mrs Ren!

I had my beta results yesterday and they were around what I was hoping for. I am almost too scared to have them done again tomorrow though. The doubling time is so subjective. They say anywhere between 31-72 hours is normal but i know most people like to see 48 hours but what if it's something like 70 hours? Do I panic then? Just don't want to get stressed out by it all so don't know what's best to do!

Have you heard her relaxation tape - had it playing while had acupuncture. OMG it was truly awful! Not a fan of that women at all, like u say she doesn't make u feel good about yourself.

All sounds positive banana.

Congratulations MrsRen great news x

JustTrixie · 20/09/2016 11:31

Great news Banana, fx for Friday.

Congratulations MrsRen!

Great that your levels were ok Lucie, if your levels are good and getting them done again could cause stress I would maybe leave it for now.

lucieloos · 20/09/2016 11:47

Thanks trixie, so hard to know what to do!!

loopylou1984 · 20/09/2016 13:05

Lucie if I were you I wouldn't. I found it terribly stressful, although probably because I was bleeding.
If you're only going to second guess the numbers anyway then it's probably not worth it. Xx

MrsRen · 20/09/2016 13:31

Thanks All.

Sorry Lucie I've no experience to advise only to say trust your instincts X

Brenna24 · 20/09/2016 15:50

That is great news Banana and MrsRen.

No advice Lucie. It won't really change the outcome and may give you more security, but may just stress you out more. Banana's seem to be working for her. Glad they are ok though, that is a good start.

bananafish81 · 20/09/2016 15:51

Congrats Mrs!

lucie if your levels are looking good I personally wouldn't - I think we are victims of knowing far too much, a 'normal preggo' just POAS and goes 'woo, I'm pregnant!' and doesn't even think about hCG doubling rates or progesterone levels. Information overload - and certainly for me, analysis to the point of paralysis

maplebaby · 20/09/2016 22:19

So much good news on here the past few days

Fingers crossed tightly for you all although I know the anxieties won't completely disappear.

Question ladies, at what point should I be concerned / call the hospital if AF doesn't show up? I had my scan / IUI cancelled 3 weeks ago now and nurse had said expect AF in about 2. Not preg (abstained, had x2 bfns on ICs, no symptoms) and had a bit of ewcm / clear cm last few days.. is this a sign AF might be making an appearance soon?! Just getting pissed off as I want to start my next IUI and feel like my body won't do anything I want it to!

Longleggedlovely · 20/09/2016 22:55

Hi all, I've had a few weeks off after our unsuccessful IUI cycle but back to the hosp for round 3 to start tomorrow..... Hope everyone is doing OK, a brief catch up looks like some congratulations are in order - great news!

maplebaby after our first cancelled IUI I didn't get AF at all, the hosp said to me it could come within two weeks and then to phone so I phoned after two weeks anyway. I had a scan and bloods and they were happy there was nothing there and to start again, (though where all my follies and lining went no one seemed to know!) so I would just contact them.

maplebaby · 20/09/2016 22:59

Thanks long! I think I'll give them a call tomorrow then and see what they say! Good luck for round 3 tomorrow!

MrsRen · 21/09/2016 07:16

Good luck maple and long xx

Brenna24 · 21/09/2016 08:54

Good luck today Banana

Best of luck too Maple and Long.
