We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

Thanks banana that's good to know as I have visions of me going in for transfer and it being down to 7 or something which would panic me even though I know it's ok but I'm glad dr sher has backed it up too.

So day 3 results tomorrow. They said they will call before 9am so I think I will wait at home and go into work later as don't think I could stand the tension in work!

Brilliant news Lucie and Banana! Hope you both had a relaxing weekend and good luck for the week ahead xxx

loopylou1984 · 05/09/2016 06:56

Lucie good luck this morning! And banana - great news that your lining has responded this time! Xx

lucieloos · 05/09/2016 07:34

Thanks Sammy, just waiting for the call!

Arghhh day 3 results in and not great really! I was hoping for better. We have
2x7 cells
1x6 cell
1x5 cell
1x4 cell
1x 1 cell
She said the top 3 look ok and the 5 cell also looks ok and could carry on but a little slow. The 4 cell doesn't look good and the 1 cell has stopped along with another one which didn't really form an embryo. They still want me to wait until day 5 but it's a little worrying really as none of my 5 or 6 cells have ever made it and probably less than half of my 7 cells so I don't think it's looking great! I would probably have rathered put the 2x7 cells in today but there we are. Bit disappointing. I think I will be very lucky to have 2 blasts to transfer from that.

Somebody made a good point that my egg collection at reprofit last time was 8am so by the time they checked them on day 3 would have been the full 3 days whereas it was around 1115am this time and by the time they were fertilised could have been around 1230 so a few hours off the 3 days so yes that's possible but we don't really know and still would have been nice to see in black and white them a bit further ahead today Confused

So sorry the news wasn't better. I hope they go on to surprise you. Remember you only need one to make it all the way. Flowers

JustTrixie · 05/09/2016 11:55

Lucie, hope you're ok. I don't know about the whole cell thing so can't really comment. However with our first fresh I remember them saying 4 were good and 4 weren't so good but 7 made it....then last time they said we'd probably have 2 to freeze on day 5 (which we were really happy with) then on day 6 they said they'd frozen 4! They do surprise us. You had a 3 day NHS transfer last time didn't you and they wouldn't leave you to day 5 if they thought there was any risk.

Had my meds delivered today, always makes me emotional. I have 42 doses of lubion - thank you btw for your post before Lucie as along with Banana's it really helped - bearing in mind I'll be on them 5 days before transfer then 14 days to OTD I guess I could double up or maybe they give extra for if it works. Also have clexane and pred! Usually need a private prescription for those (and may be slapped with an invoice which would obviously be fine) but just made me so so happy. I guess meds make me feel closer to getting our baby.

MrsRen · 05/09/2016 12:12

I've got everything crossed for you Lucie and like Brenna says you only need one amazing one :-)

Good luck with all those meds Trixie sounds like a lot to remember!

lucieloos · 05/09/2016 16:16

Thanks Brenna and MrsRen

Trixie, that would be good but realistically we only have 3 out of the 6 in the running now and one of those is a bit slow so I think we will be lucky to get one to be honest.

Lucie im sorry you are disappointed with the news - im afraid I know nothing about number of cells but there's still time for them to get better/improve? And the fact that they seem happy to wait until day 5 is a good thing surely?

I had brown spotting yesterday and wondered if it might be ovulation spotting - is this actually a real thing?! Not had it today!

MrsRen · 06/09/2016 12:29

We've had our referral appointment come through, it's a 90 day wait Sadbut at least it feels like things are moving, all be it slowly!

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sun X

lucieloos · 06/09/2016 16:23

Thanks everyone, they want us to go in at 11am tomorrow for the transfer so I'm just praying there will be something left!

MrsRen, sorry there is a wait for the referral but hopefully time will pass quickly and you can get going.

Banana, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

star1980 · 06/09/2016 18:14

Good luck for transfer tomorrow Lucie, I'll be thinking of you.
Maple, could it be implantation?! I know you're not trying this cycle, but you did have sex just before the scan if I recall? Isn't it a bit late for ovulation?

MrsRen, glad your appointment has come through.

maplebaby · 06/09/2016 21:02

Mrs sorry you have to wait - do you have things to look forward to / keep you busy until then?

Lucie good luck for transfer tomorrow!

Star no I doubt it very very much! Would be far too early - my scan was a week today and biggest follicle was 18mm (cd11) and I had ewcm cd13-15 and spotting was cd16 so more in line with ovulation spotting! Am cd18 now. I would of had to have ovulated the day of the scan for it to be implantation unfortunately!

Paige43 · 06/09/2016 21:29

Hello everyone.

MrsRen told me how lovely you ladies are so I've decided to come and join you. My husband and I have been trying for 19 months now. Dr has referred us and our first appointment is in 2 weeks. So many different emotions right now, not sure where my head is at.

MrsRen · 06/09/2016 21:53

Good luck tomorrow Lucie, welcome Paige :-)

MrsRen · 06/09/2016 21:54

Maple - very busy with house renovations so fingers crossed that will help pass the time!

bananafish81 · 06/09/2016 23:03

Good luck for tomorrow lucie!

Hope2409 · 07/09/2016 06:55

Good luck for today Lucie i will be thinking of you xx

Mrs glad to hear your appointment has come through, its a shame about the wait though, sometimes it feels like all we do is wait doesn't it. But i'm sure with your renovations going on at home the time will go quickly xx

Welcome Paige all the best for your upcoming appointment, it is a very emotional time waiting for that first one, look after yourself. You are in the right place all the ladies on here are lovely and it is really helping me get through by talking to so many other people going through this journey xxx

Brenna24 · 07/09/2016 08:46

Hi and welcome Paige. I'm sure I know you from another thread, just can't remember which one (old age is getting to me).

Everything crossed for today Lucie.

maplebaby · 07/09/2016 10:18

Thinking of you today Lucie!

Welcome Paige I'm sorry you find yourself here - hope the next 2 weeks go by quickly for you!

Mrs wow what are you getting done to the house?

MrsRen · 07/09/2016 12:28

We bought a bit of a dooer upper 3 years ago so have been working our way around. We've done everything from painting and decorating, plumbing, electrics and woodwork! Hopefully we will be finished the inside by Xmas!

friends123 · 07/09/2016 14:04

Hey ladies, I hope you've all had a good weekend. I was wondering if anyone can help me.I've got some internet cheapie pg test. Try has I might I can't stop using them before af is due,I know it's not very good for my mind. I was wondering how strong are the evap lines? I can see two lines but I'm pretty sure it will be an evap line, nothing's happend in 3 years and I'm only 11 days past ovulation. Would it be strange to post a picture.Grin
