If so, please join the club. Let's keep each other going!

In our case, we're going abroad for ours - Norway. What about you?

Thanks very much Honeybee

SparrowSG · 28/03/2016 17:10

Congrats Ever

Had transfer this morning, went well. Three good blastocasts put back in, will see tomorrow if there were any that can also be frozen.

OTD is 6th April, the wait begins....

Looking forward to going home, more to distract me there!

muddyboots · 28/03/2016 17:19

Oh Ever! Brilliant brilliant news. Congratulations!

NotSpartacus · 28/03/2016 17:35

Help! I have to do my Pregnyl trigger shot tonight. I know it is sub-cutaneous, but I have two powders and two waters. Is it ok to put the two powders in the same shot with one water? I missed the clinics call so only have a text to go on, and they are now closed! Arg!

Had scan today - well over 30 follies (26 on one ovary). Now crapping myself re OHSS.

Kwick709 · 28/03/2016 18:13

everhopeful CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! This is great news!!! Star

By specific diet do you mean eating liquorice torpedos and maltesers?! I am trying to eat lots of vegetables but I really need to watch what I eat - I am resuming Slimming World this week, with the hope I can actually shift some weight... I have read up on this and it seem something you can do - so long as you do not strip out any food groups.

I am taking Seven Seas pregnancy vitamins - but it is really hard to research what ones are best - any recommendations?

Everhopeful76 · 28/03/2016 20:42

Thanks for the congratulations guys.

I wish I could help you Notspartacus, I didn't use that particular trigger, as had an epi-pen style thing. So sorry, but would have thought you d probably need both waters. But don't take my word as gospel. Is there anything on tinternet that may help. Wow you do have a lot of follicles on 1 ovary and the other indeed remained lazy, what a response. I really hope OHSS isn't an issue, am sure your clinic will be monitoring for this

Kwik, haha love the sound of maltesers and liquorice diet. I ve no idea about diets in pregnancy, I have heard drs recommend following weight watchers or slimming world to lose a few pounds to begin with, and at the latter stages to not gain too much etc. I am big on vegetables so that's fine, I just wondered on specific foods to keep a pregnancy healthy. Such a waiting game so early on isn't it.I am taking pregnacare multi vitamins, find them to be good, but not the cheapest

I stupidly took a 2nd pregnancy test with a crappy cheap test which did not give me such a clear pregnancy line, so now am a little worried. Where did you order your FRER 2-1s from? Have you continued to retest every so often?
Need to contact clinic and GP re my positive result and get my thyroid levels checked. Clinic don't do HCG tests so might have to ask GP to do this, wish me luck! Are you still on a lorry load of pessaries/tablets to hold pregnancy for first 12 weeks.

Muddyboots, I hope you have some news on your donee soon

Sparrow - congrats on your transfer. Take it easy the next few days.

westergille · 28/03/2016 21:57

NotSpartacus you've probably done the injection now but I had 2 powders and 2 waters and they told me to only use 1 water ie put the water in the first powder, suck the mixture up and put the mixture in the second powder. But I don't think it's critical - perhaps just saving you the faff of 2 injections? Hope you got it sorted.

Ever - congratulations! Just ignore the cheapy sticks and get a doctor's appointment asap Smile. Why doesn't your clinic do HCG tests?

I've got my early scan tomorrow. Desperately hoping they'll say I can stop taking the pessaries - so fed up of them.

NotSpartacus · 29/03/2016 08:04

westergille that's what I did in the end. The pharmacy confused me by sending me two "pregnyl kits" (syringes and needles) but I figured that using one water wouldn't affect the dose, and its how I did my stimms too. Now panicking about my numerous follies/possibility of OHSS. I really don't want to get ill!

Ever don't worry about a lighter test. While more HCG can mean a darker test, so can them putting more indicator on that test in the factory, your levels of hydration, the time of day and lots of other things. Repeat testing is not a good idea in my extensive experience (of both pregnancies that go wrong and ones that don't!). It won't affect the outcome and will take away from the fun of being pregnant. If at all possible (and I know it is hard! ) step away from the tests.

Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 08:23

notspartacus I am kicking myself for missing your trigger query - you did exactly the right thing - 2 powders into one water. Funny I had the exact same question as I too got 2 needle kits!

I think you need to get a balance between the panic of thinking pregnancy has disappeared with madly re-testing.
If you need some FRER try Amazon - they sometimes have offers or Boots.
I feel like shit today but I think it is because I have a few horrid things to deal with at work today and I am stressed!!!!

Everhopeful76 · 29/03/2016 08:34

NotSpartacus - glad you sorted your pregynl. You are right about the incessant testing, I did do another FRER and the pregnancy test line was stronger than the control today so I feel reassured by that too. Good luck for your EC,I am rooting for you to get a good crop and there not to be any other issues.
Westergille- God knows why my clinic does not do hcg tests, obviously I d pay for it but if my GP will do then as am hopefully getting thyroid test redone, its probably more convenient anyway.

Everhopeful76 · 29/03/2016 08:50

Kwik - so you re madly retesting then lol? hope your day is ok, the anticipation is usually worse than actual happenings. Am talking bollocks actually I know you can get 2 tests in 1 packet at Boots, not sure if the price is actually 241 but getting rid of all my cheapies because that's what caused the panic yesterday
When are CRGH doing your pregnancy scan, guess that must be in a week or 2 now. Its so weird most ppl who have fallen pregnant naturally would be waiting till 12 weeks, am so glad of an early scan to find out whats what
Westergille- good luck for your scan this morning, let us know how you get on. And agreed re pessaries, are you on cyclogest?

Honeybee79 · 29/03/2016 13:34

Ever, I am also driving myself mad with the repeated testing. I have decided to stay away from them now and wait 2 weeks for my early pregnancy scan. Otherwise, I will be spending a bloody fortune on pregnancy tests and driving myself bonkers. I already have a stash of about 4 next to my bed which I keep looking at to remind myself that it is actually real!!

Everhopeful76 · 29/03/2016 17:56

Ah Honeybee. Am glad I have an incessant tester beside me. I am going to just do them occasionally, once a week. My scan isn't till 18th April, so have a while yet.

Kwick709 · 29/03/2016 18:05

Apart from initial 10 tests on lead up to OTD I have done only one panic test - I found a stash of cheapie strips.
Who knows where my cray-cray may lead me!!!
I have my scan not next week but week after as I am away on work travel next week... I am very nervous particularly as I do not have any symptoms unless you count womble cramping in the afternoons...

GlummyMummy · 29/03/2016 20:02

Hi Everhopeful76 - feeling okay thanks. Been in touch with my clinic to confirm my negative test result on the agreed date. Knackered though as my daughter has started the terrible two's early, so dealing with a very grumpy toddler waking during the night again. Planning to rest for a month or so and then hopefully try again. Hope all goes well for you with your pregnancy!

Everhopeful76 · 29/03/2016 20:18

Kwik am sure your womble cramping is a symptom. Stretching for the embryo. Your only 5 days in front of me I think, I ve had the same plus slight nausea and being more aware of strong smelling/ tasting food. Nothing major, some ppl get no symptoms this early on.Am sure it will be fine

Glad you have a plan glummymummy. Sorry ur result was negative and hope ur girl settles down soon. And thank you

GlummyMummy · 29/03/2016 20:26

thanks Ever!! and Kwick - hi, just to say, I didn't have a single symptom throughout the whole of the 9 months when I conceived my daughter through ivf.

Honeybee79 · 29/03/2016 21:54

glummy - hope your DD settles down soon. I recall the terrible 2s only too well!!

Ever - yes, I am being a bit ridiculous. Have now done 4 tests. Am determined not to do more. My scan is 2 weeks today so really not that long. No symptoms other than slightly sore boobs and even that comes and goes! Walking down the street occasionally poking boobs to see if still sore - not a good look! Lol.

Everhopeful76 · 29/03/2016 22:04

Honeybee - I think a survey is in order. If you spot a woman of child bearing years, poking boobs, can surely be identified as newly pregnant lady after IVF. I Lol.... I have done this loads

westergille · 29/03/2016 22:12

I think I'm the complete opposite - I hardly ever do any tests. Did 1 with DD1 (after blood test results) and feels decadent to have done 2 with this pregnancy. But the stick manufacturers would go out of business if everyone was like me!

My scan showed 1 sac and heartbeat. So no twins Hmm Ought to be relieved but instead find I'm a bit disappointed as I'd subconsciously psyched myself up for the possibility of two. Still hasn't sunk in. The only pregnancy symptoms I have are feeling like shit most of the time. DH and I were just too tired to get excited at the scan.

NotSpartacus · 30/03/2016 12:39

Hey all, am back from collection in bed with my hot water bottle (that kicked in foof feeling again). A bit of a disappointing result in that 37 follies yielded only 16 eggs (some doctors on the inter web think this happens in PCO ladies where the stimulation protocol used isn't correctly tailored...). Anyway, perhaps fewer eggs = better quality, or that's what I am hoping for. They should shortly be introduced to the swimmers, so fingers crossed for a good result. The other positive about 16 eggs is I don't automatically have to convert to freeze all and am now lower risk for OHSS (have been given meds to stave this off too). Sorry for the me me me post, am still a bit out of it. Will check in with y'all later.

Everhopeful76 · 30/03/2016 16:01

Congrats NotSpartacus - 16 eggs is fabulous and am glad it sounds like you can have a fresh transfer. Fingers crossed. Relax now and let the swimmers do the magic.

Westergille - glad you were able to see your baby yesterday. Shame to not be twins.. I would love twins myself (had 2 embryos transferred so you never know) but also know they carry greater risk.Haha... define feeling like shit most of the time? I ve not had much so far but think you ll be a few weeks further on
xx

Kwick709 · 30/03/2016 18:27

notspartacus this is a amazeballs!!!!!! 16 eggs!!!! Well done! Please keep us posted - I am sure they will call you in the morning!!! This is sooooo good! Star

wester sorry you are sad. Lot less risk with 1 though. I think it is interesting how we all want different things.

Womble cramps continue, nothing else to report this end.

goinggrey1978 · 31/03/2016 10:09

Hi everyone, holiday has gone so fast, juste enjoying thec change of scenery, totally different atmosphere, had my phonec call yesterday morning, I got 11 eggs, 9 fertilized! Well done Aussie sperm!! Everhopeful76 · 31/03/2016 10:18
