i am! not much hope for this month but oh well Smile

AnnieHoo · 06/06/2014 09:12

shoegal and serenity stay and let us know how you get on. I'll miss you! I'm at the same stage as you both and Ginger. Maybe we should set up an "after Clomid" thread?

I'm taking another round (4th) of Clomid while I wait for IVF. Started yesterday days 2-6 of 100mg.

Good luck on 2ww kurama hope you're still feeling relaxed after holiday.

kerry and fankle it's so good to hear that you're doing well and are getting past these big milestones! Smile Really happy for you both as I know the pain and heartbreak you went through to get to this stage xxx

Hello to new ladies!
Sorry if I've missed anyone I'm on my phone and can't scroll to see messages so doing this from memory!

AnnieHoo · 06/06/2014 09:13

Fingers x'd stone - it all sounds positive!

AnnieHoo · 06/06/2014 09:20

Perdita - how did you get on at docs? I would like to get the AMH test done too but think I have to go private.

Firsttimer9981 · 06/06/2014 09:34

How long have people been prescribed clomid for before the docs will do further testing? I've been told to try 6 months, then they'll test for blocked fallopian tubes. Can't help thinking they should be testing that sooner though.

AnnieHoo · 06/06/2014 10:01

Hi Firsttimer!

I'm sure they're meant to test for blocked tubes before you're prescribed Clomid. And then refer you on after 6 months max on Clomid.

I was prescribed without the fallopian tubes test because I'd had a miscarriage so they assumed my tubes were not blocked. My NHS board are v tight about doing tests and we don't get any monitoring at all on Clomid.

I'm getting referred on after 3 rounds of Clomid because of my age (41) and 2 early miscarriages.

StoneBaby · 06/06/2014 14:13

firsttimer I got blood trst and hcg and DH had sperm check before going on Clomid. I then got Clomid for 4 months and I'm niw on gonal f injections.

I'm now in the dreaded 2ww. I'm so hoping this month is the one as the injections are giving me quite a bit of pains.

Good luck all

Triplespin · 07/06/2014 08:35

Hello everyone. Can I join?

Due to start clomid once AF arrived on Monday. My history is 2 mcs over one year, slight indication of pcos, long cycles but I have fallen pregnant before myself. I am 36 and been TTC #2 for long time and private fertility clinic recommended I try clomid in the first instance.

I am excited and nervous. I have read side effects of clomid especially with drying up of ewcm and thin lining. I will be scanned once at start of clomid and again around cd11/12, so hopefully will find out about the lining issue. Hoping to have loads of cough syrup to help ewcm along!

ImpatientOne · 07/06/2014 10:06

Hi everyone. In the 2WW here so trying not to symptom spot too much!

Hope everyone's ok & welcome to newbies :)

Perdita123 · 07/06/2014 13:20

Hi Anniehoo, thanks for asking! Did the clomid for 5 days, went for monitoring and was told I'd be doing IUI - so just did that yesterday! Had the Hcg trigger shot day before. However they didn't put me on progesterone so I'm thinking of asking them for it considering my low levels.

Good luck with your next round, this could be the one!

Perdita123 · 07/06/2014 13:23

Hi Impatient, let's hope this tww flies by, I've already convinced myself in pregnant at 1dpo! Gaaaaahh.. need to keep busy and ignore all boob twinges etc

kurama · 07/06/2014 14:31

hey im in the tww 7 days left before af due and normaly nipples starting to get tender/sore by now. but so far nothing but lower abdomen pains and aches for a few days and thats not normal. Angry we need a machine that tells us exactly what our bodies are doing!

kerrylou84 · 07/06/2014 17:57

Thankyou Annie nice to have someone reply to my post.

Hope you are doing well xxx

Fankletastic · 09/06/2014 12:39

Hello ladies

Annie thank you- things still seem fine so far and am approaching 10 weeks. Never made it this far before! We are going to tell the family this weekend. I hope you are feeling better and in a more positive place. Are you going straight to IVF? Wishing you the best of luck with that. You will surely have a good chance of success with it as clomid has worked twice for you.

Hope your scan went well Kerry.

Fingers crossed for everyone else in the 2ww

AnnieHoo · 09/06/2014 12:40

Welcome Triplespin! Smile You're in the right place for support in going through Clomid cycles. Best advice I had was to take the pills at night before bed so you have the hot sweats in the night rather than during the day.

Kurama - how's life without the flatmate? Your library sounds like a very good plan. It's time for us to be looking after ourselves a lot more and that means deleting all the crap out of our lives that causes stress... ahhhh.

Time is going by reaaaaallly s l o w l y.

I'm only on day 4 of Clomid.

I've got at the ready:
Clear Blue ov monitor sticks, internet cheapie ov sticks, thermometer, Fertility Friend app, Pregnacare Concieve, Fresh Royal Jelly, Baby Asprin, Omega 3 fish oils.

Now I must remember to shag him.

LondonSuperTrooper · 09/06/2014 13:16

LOL @ Annie :)

LondonSuperTrooper · 09/06/2014 13:22

Annie why is OPK essential when taking Clomid?

This month (for the first time in years!), I've ditched OPK & temping. I feel very liberated!

kerrylou84 · 09/06/2014 13:55

Thankyou fankle, my second scan is not til next Monday, hope this week flies by!
Started with the heartburn on Saturday afternoon and my god it is awful! But I shouldn't really complain, it's the only symptom I've had apart from tiredness at the beginning and sore boobs.

Have you had any morning sickness? Bet you can't wait for your first scan! I was so up a height the morning of my scan, was so scared I woke up in a sweat and shaking, but as soon as I saw the screen I calmed down lol.

Xxx

AnnieHoo · 09/06/2014 15:15

London - it's not essential, none of it. Shackles the lot of it. I just feel because I'm not getting any monitoring at all from GP that I like to know what's happening as much as possible...

Fankle So excited for you telling your family! Smile. Sorry I missed your question, yes I'm giving Clomid another go before IVF initial appointment on 8th July. Clomid did work for me on my 3rd month so hoping it will work again this time and I'll stay pregnant! Surely 3rd time lucky...

kurama · 09/06/2014 17:18

Lol @ annie hes been gone since Friday and my god it's bliss! Very true about getting rid of crap. He still has a few bits to get rid off and rent to pay, but we started cleaning the room today. Found the perfect snuggle bean bag for the room but it's $500!!!! As the room is next to ours I'm hoping it will be a nursery soon Wink

StoneBaby · 09/06/2014 20:30

annie lol

Well I'm wondering if I'll be wasting money tomorrow by buying pg tests or not...

Good luck with the scans or dtd or dreaded 2ww

Good luck for this cycle Annie. With any luck you'll be pregnant before that IVF appointment.

Kerry I have only been on the verge of throwing up once, at around 6 weeks. Since then I've only had very low level nausea a few times...not really enough to be described as ms. I was very worried about my lack of symptoms at first but after having an early scan and seeing that the baby is ok and measuring what it should, I've been thinking maybe I'm just lucky. Sounds like you have been lucky too...although heartburn can't be much fun.

I've not even been majorly exhausted every day. Again, I've only had that feeling a few times. I have been hungry a lot though and appear to have already put on 4-5 lbs! My boobs have gone up at least a cup size too Smile

ImpatientOne · 10/06/2014 14:56

Hi everyone. CD1 again here but feeling ok this time. I started spotting on Sat and my temps dropped so I was prepared.

Booked in for my scan a week on Friday (20th). I've got to go down to 25mg Clomid this month due to the unbearable itching I had last month Blush I had good follicles and lining last month though so fingers crossed it's enough!

Glad to see all's well Kerry & Fankle :)

Annie I love your checklist!! I will be a few days behind you this cycle so will keep my eye out for how it's going.
