Hello ladies. May I join you again?

I am on my second round of clomid (TTC#2). First round at 50 was unsuccessful but the headaches made me so sick I decided to take a break but now cd3 and things are going okay so far. Hoping the headaches won't make an appearance.

Teaming up with my clear blue easy fert monitor and preseed. Have a good cycle everyone.

How disappointing for you!! I am not being scanned but am temping so I pretty sure before the blood tests that they won't show ovulation. Not sure I can help at all as am also very down about it. I could say be patient, relax and distract yourself but as I am struggling to do that myself it feels wrong suggesting it. Good luck with the blood results!

Hi Ladies,

Had my first scan to see if clomid made me ovulate but the doc couldnt tell as he could see one of my ovaries how annoying.

Have to have day 21 tests on Monday to see if it worked.

Feeling really down about everything at the moment just wanted a yes or no to if its working and I couldnt even get that.

Kerry wow not long!!

Thanks kerrylou84 for your thoughts. Pleased to hear it worked for you!!
I am the same, I feel like I have already given up and convinced myself it won't work. So much so I am looking at booking at holiday for August.....
DH is so relaxed about it all but his take it as it comes attitude just winds me up. I don't think he has a clue how bloody awful it makes me feel. Enough of my moaning, time for bed......

Hi LAM1.
It's a very depressing thing to go through, I was so down throughout the whole thing that I started to give up. I focused my mind on other things and stopped thinking about trying to get pregnant, and I believe that's what helped me to conceive. It's so hard totry and concentrate on other things in life, but I do think it's the best thing to help you get pregnant.
Constantly thinking about it and stressing is no good for our minds or our bodies.
I also went for reflexology on my 6th round of Clomid which I think helped me too.

I was on this thread and previous 2threads over a year ago and everyone was very supportive, but this last thread I noticed that as soon as I became pregnant everyone just seemed to stop replying to me so that's why I haven't been on for a few months.

It's been fairly quiet on here for a while...how are you all?
Round 3 failed to make me ovulate, awaiting day 42 to move onto round 4.... Have just sat and word out dates, if round 4 doesn't work (which I suspect it won't as it's the same dose as round 3) DH is then away for days 3 - 14 of cycle 5, so feels like we have lost that cycle.

Any tips on how to say positive through this? Just finding it all too easy to be very down about it

Has anyone here ever tried Clomid extended protocol? It's when you take 50mg on CD2-6, then 100mg on days 7-11. I've asked my gynae if I can try it next cycle but don't know if it's ever used in the UK (NHS) or whether it's only recognised as a method of treatment over in the US. I'm really hoping he lets me try it as it's meant to have good success rates for women like me with HA. Has anyone here ever tried it?

Hi ladies, long time no speak!

How is everyone doing?
I've missed so much of this thread and there is way too much to read so thought I'd quickly ask how you all are.

As some of you may know I was in chlomid altogether for about 9 months (cycles were sometimes lasting up to 70 odd days) and fell pregnant on my very last round. We found out we're having a boy and I now only have 3weeks left!
It has totally flown by and been an absolute breeze.
I am at the midwifes tomorrow to check that he is head down as a coupe of weeks ago I was told he was breech, so may need to go for a scan if she is unsure.

Hope you are all well xxx

So here's my TTC journey so far... I have been TTC for 2yrs now on my own. Finally realize its time to see a gyno and so I did I'm august.... he ran a bunch of test and that's when we bump into the fact that I'm not ovulating...

I don't have a steady AF cycle. It comes every month but the cycle length varies so its hard to tell when I am most fertile. My doc set me on 50mg clomid I start them tommo.. I have read stories of ppl getting bfp on first round.( hopefully I will be able to relateGrin) fingerscrosed
Any advise for me?
Good luck to all!!!

agoddard Ive only had 1 tablet so far and no side effects yet but I will keep you updated!

I believe every other day is the best.

Latty welcome and good luck...

Right ladies Im freaking out right now and probably for no reason but I need some advise.

Im getting a scan which is supposed to be carried out just before you ovulate so that they can see how many eggs and be produced, if there are to many they tell you not to try as there is to much risk.
I called yesterday to book my scan in and they didnt give me a date till today. The only day they can do it is day 15 and therefore I should have already ovulated (even though the doc told the receptionist this is fine).
So what if the tablets over stimulate me and I end up with loads of eggs and I dont know, I cant not try up until that time because ill miss ovulation.
Argh what do I do?????

Has Clomid ever made anyone else feel exhausted and mood swings/grouchy/emotional? I've only taken 2 days of it so far (doing CD 2-6) and I'm really struggling. It was my birthday today and I could hardly even crack a smile, I felt really bad as DH was being so lovely.

Also is BDing every 2 days the best? I can't remember what my gynae recommended and I've read conflicting info.

Good luck to everyone this cycle, keep us posted!

hi everyone, I just want to share my minor achievement. i've been taking the bcp to try to cause AF in order to start clomid, and i woke up today with AF. i was terrified it wouldn't work as I haven't had any kind of AF in so long. I can now start clomid tomorrow. it's our first try, and I know it may not work, but small steps! Smile

Hi Ladies,

I thought id join as I was prescribed clomid to start next cycle.

A bit of info- Im 26 and DP is 30 we have been TTC 1 for 18 cycles with no success.

We started tests at the 12 month mark and found out I wasn't ovulating even though my periods are a regular 28 days.

I had my second gynae app yesterday after HSG (clear), internal scan (clear) and more blood tests which came back equivocal.

I have in the last few months started to get positive opks which id never had before but my blood test still came back equivocal so I dont really understand. I also get ovulation pains and EWCM at the right time.

Im in my tww at the mo but I very much doubt anything will come of it considering my results, so I will start my clomid around the 7th October.

Hi ago! I'm new here to and like you went through all the tests amds they came back normal, but have been TTC for 19 long months with 2 mc along the way. So I just started my first round of clomid and I'm on day 3 of clomid prescribed 5 days then on the 12th day of my cycle if it looks like I have healthy eggs I have an injection to take to force ovulation and fingers crossed. That is 7 days away ands I'm a mess just hoping that it works not ready for another let down right now. So trying to stay positive and non stresses. The side effects from clomid haven't been bad except they make my feel pregnant, physically not to bad but I think feeling pregnant Is doing a number on my mental state, hard to try not to think and worry about

Sorry to hear you've had such a rough time of it ridgeway...hopefully seeing a new doc will open up more options and bring you some positivity. My current gynae has said clomid 50mg...if it fails then clomid 100mg, if that fails a stronger tablet (dont know the name sorry), if that fails then injections...and finally ivf. I admit it seems like a crazy long process but he assured me there ARE lots of options before IVF.

Did provera cause AF with you? My doc was surprised it didn't with me and I find it worrying...anyone have any ideas why it may have failed if all my bloods etc were normal? I just hope BCP induces AF so I can try clomid.

Smile Hi everyone, im new here (been reading while undergoing tests). All my scans/blood tests/HSG tests are all normal, just haven't had AF since coming off BCP 15 months ago. Also I failed provera challenge.

Yesturday my Gynae prescribed 10 days BCP to hopefully cause AF (pleeeaaase work), followed by first round of clomid (50mg per day). If that fails, then we will try a higher dose. Soooo nervous it won't work, currently I just feel like my body is asleep, and having AF/O feels like such a pipe dream right now as it's been about 15 yrs since my last natural cycle (on BCP for aaages).

Anyone else here also had normal tests etc? Did clomid work for you? What dose?
