Well hope you're one of the lucky ones and don't get sickness.
I weighed myself on Friday and have out on 7lb, which isn't bad considering I'm almost half way there, was expecting to of put on more lol.

The tiredness really got me bad around 11-12 weeks. I'm the type of person that can't sit still, if there's washing needing folded or out away etc il get up and do it instead of just sitting watching tv......but I didn't even have the energy to do that. My partner was amazing, so e everything for me and I just cried cos I felt lazy haha. But I'm back to the way I was.

Yes my boobs have grown too, im big chested to start with (36GG), havnt had myself measured yet though xxx

Let us know if you cave in Stone, fx for you.

impatient I forgot to add cough medicine to my list.

A genius idea that worked for someone on another thread is to use Softcups as a DIY Artificial Insemination thing.

Her DH was working funny hours so some nights he'd come home, wank into the Softcup, wake her up, she'd mix up the sperm with some Conceive Plus, put some conceive plus around the rim of the cup, pop it in and go back to sleep. As long as it wasn't in for more than 12hrs it's ok.

These are the things you consider when you've been ttc for 2 years!

This is nuts I know. I am verging on lunacy.

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/06/2014 12:29

Annie I feel the same as you. After more than two years of TTC, I would consider anything - including using softcups! Sometimes my DH has performance issues during my fertile period & maybe using this method will relieve the pressure of him.

This is possibly a very stupid questions but how would you mix the Conceive Plus with the sperm? And would using too much conceive plus damage the sperm?

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

AnnieHoo · 11/06/2014 14:37

Hi London
Conceive Plus helps the sperm to swim so it's the perfect environment for them. I don't think too much would harm it - there's only so much you can fit in the soft cup without it spilling (i would imagine!) and you'd rather have more sperm than Concieve Plus. PreSeed is the same as Concieve Plus I think so that would work too.

Its meant to be good to do it after DTD too. To hold the sperm near your cervix for longer. Same effect as hips elevated I suppose.

The OP used her finger to mix it up. Here's the thread I found it on:

Hi Annie thanks for your reply and for the link - I'll have a read once i get home.

I've just had a look at softcups. They have the reusable ones and disposable ones. Which would you recommend? I'm inclined to get the reusable ones but how would one clean it?

I would like to buy it both items (and the cough syrup) ASAP so I'm all ready for my next cycle :)

I'm trying EVERYTHING before embarking on the roller coaster of IVF in January.

StoneBaby · 11/06/2014 16:31

I use mooncup for periods and guess softcup are the same principle. Just wash with soapy hot water!

Triplespin · 11/06/2014 17:53

Really interesting about the mooncup. Same issue with my DH working very late hours and then I have to beg him to dtd in the morning!

When should I start the cough syrup and how much do I take? Tomorrow should be day 1 of clomid if my baseline scan goes ok.

All the best to everyone else!

AnnieHoo · 11/06/2014 18:47

I started cough syrup today on day 6 , 2 teaspoons 3 times a day. Drinking LOADS of water too.

AnnieHoo · 11/06/2014 18:47

Taking it until after ov.

StoneBaby · 11/06/2014 19:23

Well still haven't bought any pg tests. But having my usual pre-periods crampings so not having much hope Sad

Triplespin · 11/06/2014 21:59

Thanks Annie! I will start soon then.

Stonebaby - you have amazing self control. I find myself poas-ing at 5dpo.

Has clomid brought forward ov day for anyone? My last cycle was 37 days with ov around days 21-23. Hoping on clomid I can have more normal 14/15day ovulation.

LondonSuperTrooper · 11/06/2014 22:23

Great advice Annie thanks so much for sharing.

Stone when is your period due? I had terrible pre-period pain and it was a BFP. (It sadly ended up in a miscarriage though). Fingers crossed that it's a BFP.

Triple I'm not on clomid so hopefully someone else can come along & answer your query.

AnnieHoo · 11/06/2014 22:37

Triple yes Clomid regulated my cycle from 34-37 days ovulating on days 19/20 to 28 days ovulating on days 14/15. BUT it's not the same for everyone...

AnnieHoo · 11/06/2014 22:55

Oh eM Gee!!! My cervical mucus whiffs of menthol!!! I'm taking Benilyn Menthol because it was all I could find but didn't consider that the menthol would make it all the way down to my fanjo. In taking it orally btw!!! Weird sensation too Wink

Triplespin · 11/06/2014 23:26

That is hysterical and thanks for the warning!! I had better check I don't buy the menthol variety.

Hope it goes away soon Annie

Firsttimer9981 · 12/06/2014 07:21

Clomid brought my 35 to 50 day cycle down to 28 days the first month I took it and every month after that. Ovulation and af are like clockwork now!

Btw how do you tag people in messages?

Triplespin · 12/06/2014 08:15

Wowee firsttimer! That is incredible. I have also been recommended metformin by another doctor (who I saw for my miscarriages). I will check with my clinic today whether it is ok for me to have metformin alongside clomid.

I already have incredible mood swings - I wonder what clomid will do. Bring it on!

StoneBaby · 12/06/2014 13:28

Triple - my cycle went from 32 - 75 days to 29 on clomid

OP posts:
Firsttimer9981 · 12/06/2014 14:05

Triple, I take 3 metformin a day along with clomid. Its usually prescribed for diabetes I think, but my doctor at the fertility clinic said it helps some people lose weight and reduces the risk of miscarriage.

StoneBaby · 12/06/2014 16:46

Forgot to say annie your menthol comment has made my day Grin

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/06/2014 18:27

Hi everyone! I'm back from my holy-bags. Was hoping there'd be some new bfp's on my return, we're long over due I reckon.

StoneBaby · 12/06/2014 19:02

Welcome back ginger

Bah. My body is playing mind games. I now suffer from nausea and go for a pee every hour! Grrrr. If I was hopeful, it'll be good but I had those symptoms previously for nothing...
