Hi ladies sorry for being off for a while it have been so busy.

I'm having a funny month. CD19 of second month of Clomid at 100mg. Usually ovulate myself but Clomid was prescribed as a boost.

Anyway last month (first month at 100mg) I didn't use my opk monitor for the first time in over a year - which normally shows that I have ovulation peak - as went away and wanted a more relaxed approach.

I did have 21 days blood but today has been 4 weeks and still haven't for my results back. I have been kicking off with the hospital royally but they are so slow. They will be getting another cranky call at 9.

So I've been a bit cautious about the 100mg because I have been experiencing bowel problems and also stomach pains. Also used this monitor this month and on cd19 it's showing I still haven't got a peak - been on high for 10 days which has never happened before as I usually get peak by cd15 the latest.

Me and DH have been dtd every other day but Sod's law the last 2 days he's had performance issues so not dtd since Monday. I think I am out this month now Sad

Also I think I am going to stop Clomid as I am not being monitored properly, I'm in discomfort and my cycle days have increased from 28 days to 31!!!

Hope the rest of you guys are doing well though - hopefully we get at least 1 BFP on this thread this month xx

Blueberry I think it may depend on your pct although I've not heard anything about people who are slightly overweight.

My bmi was around 28 when I first started.

How about giving the hospital a call and asking?

Yes I think it's worth calling the hospital and checking before you go. I was told during my appointment that most hospitals want your bmi to be less than 30, but that some were more flexible. I was dreading being asked to lose some weight too as I felt like it was one hurdle after the other and it wasn't like just losing weight was easy.

Hi all. Thanks for the welcome.

Blueberry, my gp originally told me that if you have a bmi of 35+ they'll tell you to lose weight before doing anything. I'm not hugely overweight though my ideal is 2 stone less than I am so that's probably not true lol! My bmi was 33 when they saw me & prescribed clomid, so depending on your bmi you'll have to see. Whatever the weather the more weight you lose the better it helps your fertility.

I've today taken my last clomid, 1st round of the stuff. So far the only side effect seems to be headaches at night. They want to do a transvag scan in a couple of weeks - I think to check for pcos, tho my scan in November was clear for that - so see what that brings. It all seems to drag by! Cycle 2 I then start the 21 & 28 blood test for my Progesterone level along with an amh to check my egg quantity (gulp!).

We're defo due a BFP from someone! Smile

Thank you for the replies.

My bmi is 34 and I know I need to lose about 2 stone but ive tried for ages and I never seem to loose much no matter what I do.

I will try and call them though and see what they say, although the appointment is the 19th so doubt ill manage to loose enough by then anyway.

Good luck everyone im going to spy for a while and join properly once they put me on clomid.

Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining in, just read the thread and found so much useful info.

I am on my first round of clomid - 100mg which I was worried about in case of side effects, but am on my 3rd day of it and luckily feeling fine so far.

I have regular periods and confirmed ovulation every month, but a short luteal phase and low progesterone. AMH borderline too but I don't want to read too much into that.

I have a docs appointment on Monday to check progress so I'll let you know what happens.

Well had my 2nd scan this cycle. One follicle in each ovaries measuring 13mm each. So increase of dosage and 3rd scan on Monday. Will try to convince DH to dtd tomorrow night and Sunday Confused just in case I ovulate this weekend I don't believe I will do to the size of those follicles

Morning

I was thinkng (odd occurrence) about my infertility. Has anyone had a sperm antibody test? To see if you have a murderous vagina that kills sperm?

serenity never had this test but has I already got a DS with my husband I would guess I am not an hostile environment!

Serenity I have always wondered that as we have unexplained fertility and our tests have come back clear it's something I have started suspecting. How would you get tested for this?

Ladies I may have to leave this thread as I have decided to stop taking Clomid. I finally got my bloods from my day 21 test on the increased dose of 100mg and it shows that again I ovulated naturally but the Clomid hasn't had any impact. So I don't want to take drugs unnecessarily if it's having no impact.

The good news is that I told the FC about the side effects and although in sep I will be eligible for assisted as it will have been 2 years of TTC, the FC is referring us now as it has been 4 months on Clomid with no impact. We will get our appointment at a specialist unit in June and we can then decide on IUI or ivf.

But to make it even better, I had asked my GP to refer me to another well renowned women's hospital in the next town and I have got an appointment there at the end of June too. So I will be able to get 2 points of view (hopefully the same one). I finally feel like I'm making progress Grin

Hi everyone. Just a quick question as this is my first month on clomid. I'm cd9 and feeling a lot of pressure in my womb. Could it be the follicles growing? Because I've not been ovulating I don't know when I will ovulate in my cycle. I've never known what it feels like when you ovulate either.

Any ideas what it might be? It's not really sore but twinges and pressure. Confusion reigns!!

xx

it could be the start of ov. or it could be cysts growing. if it doesnt stop in 2 days go to doc and ask for advice. i speak from experience...

Does anyone know what's a good number of follicles to be ready before you ovulate? Should only one grow each month or do a few grow then one releases an egg? I'm on my third month of Clomid. They only did a scan on the first month and were happy with one follicle growing. I'm just thinking whether to up my dose to 100mg next month instead of 50mg... will this increase my chances?

So it would appear that I ovulate much later than thought. CD18 today and I'm having iui tomorrow as the follicle should be ready. Got my injection of HSG today. So dtd yesterday, tonight and tomorrow iui.

My DM asked me at the weekend when I'll be stopping dtd Sad!!!
