Now I'm really confused! I have regular periods every 27-30 days. As far as I'm aware I ovulate - day 21 blood results were around 25 which a little low. But my private consultant said that it means that I do actually ovulate.

I guess I just have to rein in my confusion & thoughts until end of July.

Thanks for the help Thanks

London - I saw my FC on Monday. During this appointment, I voiced my concerns that I may not ovulate (1st reason why I was refered to him) as despites all the ingredients been pit together (aka iui) there is still not pregnancy. He told me that every women ovulate and that it can be proven by tbe fact that af arrives every month. He also said that the fact my blood tests showed no ovulation was probably due to them not been done on the good day.

I feel less aNd less confident in him but to go private I'll have to travel to mainland UK.

DH asked me tonight what we'll do if the injections dud not work... My answer was give up and sell all the baby stuff we kept! (All said while crying)

Stonebaby wherabout in the UK are you?

My consultant said that day 21 blood test giving results less than 5 indicates no ovulation. And with all due respect what you consultant has told you, well it seems incorrect. I have been told time & time again that just because a woman gets her period it doesnt mean that she ovulates.

Sorry that you are going through a tough time :(

I'm considering IVF in the new year (if Tamoxifen doesn't work),can this be an option for you?

Hi stone. Agreed with London. Your FC sounds rubbish.

I only just realised a couple of weeks ago that you are entitled to a second opinion. Is there another hospital that you could be referred to?

Report
StoneBaby · 23/05/2014 21:50

I'm based in the Channel Islands, only one healthcare system over here. If I want to go private I need to go to the UK. I know my FC is speakimg crap but that's the best I have.

Morning all.
How are you all today?
Pee'd on a stick or two?
Nothing thrilling here to report from the antipodes.

However I have a (tmi) question...... I seem to have a lot of fluid/discharge lately. It's very thin and watery. I keep thinking I've wet myself. Do you think it's from the clomid?

Serenity sounds like your fertile time - get into action - quick!! Smile. I usually get this on day of ovulation. Are you POAS?

Kurama good to hear you had a lovely holiday - you really deserve it. Hope you're feeling relaxed after your break. Sometimes a wee holiday helps to put things in perspective a bit and gives you strength to carry on. The sun is shining here - hope it stays that way! Smile

Hi everyone. Hope it's ok if I join this thread. I've been reading the previous thread to this one and of course this one, so know what you've all experienced since the end of last year. So many highs and lows.

Me, I'm 39 in July, was married for 19 years, divorced 2010 & met my true soulmate 18 months ago. I've got 3 children already and with my OH got pregnant early last year only to lose the baby at week 9 (didn't find out till 12 weeks though). Hard to cope when you've already had 3 natural pregnancies & births.. (esp as my eldest is 16 this year, the middle 12 & the youngest 6!). Anyway, since the mmc my cycles have been all over the joint with af turning up anywhere between 29 & 71 days then lasting 5 to 21 days!! Grrrr... hate af! Sooo... following much needle jabbing to test progesterone levels at various points in my cycles, the decision was finally made that I wasn't ovulating (no shit sherlock!) so following a fs referral I was given norethisterone for 7 days to then induce a bleed and this morning took my first 50mg of clomid (have to take it days 2-6). It's nerve racking as my OH has never been married let alone had kids of his own and at 45 he was starting to think he never would and it's all I want to give him now. I'm a stress bucket in general having had a very bad & violent marriage but life is so much better now. We're even planning on going off to run a pub in Somerset currently so lots to look forward to. A baby would just be the icing, as for everyone else on here!
So that's my background. Sorry it's so long! GL to all & lots of fairy dust as they say! xx

Welcome Fizz :)

How was the scan Stone ?

I've had my scan today - CD14 - and they gave me the hcg as I had a follicle of 33mm and lining of 10.6mm which is a vast improvement on the 5.4mm last month! I know really that it's because my scan was CD11 last time but it might just be the pomegranate juice and raspberry leaf tea I've been downing!! Grin

Feeling really nauseous this cycle which is not god when under strict instructions to DTD for the next 3 nights!

Report
StoneBaby · 27/05/2014 19:25

impatient cd11 here. Scan showed multiple follicles but still very small. So carry on with the injections (75 every 2 days since last Monday) and next scan will be Friday.

Fx your dtd goes well. Manage to convince DH to dtd tonight!

Oh well let's hope Friday brings some good news for you Stone

I might be on something different next month as I had some horrible side effects this month so awaiting the FC to see if I half the Clomid (to 25) or try something else.

DH knows the script with DTD this week - there is one day we have to DTD at lunchtime as I am away that night Blush I was telling the nurse today and she thought it was hilarious! She did also say that it's best not to get too stressed out about it though!

Hope everyone's doing well. I'm feeling good today after 3 days of being an irritable old bag. Looking forward to the weekend already! Smile

Hi Fizz20 and welcome. First of all congratulations on meeting your soulmate! Wine Wine

You're in the right place here. We all have experience of Clomid.
I was a bit nervous taking it at first but so happy to have something to take to give to give my fertility an extra boost. Clomid has worked for lots of ladies on this thread ...might work for you too. Smile

I'm so sorry about your MMC. It's horrible, I know. I had long cycles after MMC too for over a year but Clomid regulated them back from up to 47 days to 30/31 days.

LondonSuperTrooper
Hello and welcome! I looked up Tamoxifen and found it is used as an alternative for Clomid with less side effects. i found a thread about it on another forum here: www.fertilityzone.co.uk/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=38007

Stone hope it goes well tomorrow, fx.

Hi Ladies,

Im not on clomid yet but I expect it to be the next step as blood tests show im not ovulating.

I just wanted to ask if any of you were asked to loose weight before they would help you?

Im not hugely over weight but I could do with loosing a stone or more and im worried i'll get to my appointment on the 19th and they will say im to fat.
