Hope ur all ok? im on 1 st lot of clomid. af due on friday. my boobs are extreamly sore. like ill punch anyone who looks at them. and Im very bloated. is this a good sign? or is af going to turn?

I'm due on on Monday, but I plan on POAS on saturday with an early detection test. I've had to get my husband to hide the tests otherwise I'd be wasting them and doing it way too early!

what does POAS mean? I have cer sore boobs and very bloated due on friday feel like my head is all over the place everything is baby baby baby thats all I see anyone else feel like this x

I don't feel any different either so looks like another month of bfn.

We found out at the weekend that a close family friend is pregnant and I'm so torn between feeling delighted and feeling absolutely gutted. They didn't realise until she was about 10 weeks too and they were like oh we only had sex twice that month and whoops! I feel so cheated when we time it so carefully and ttc pretty much takes up my every waking thought!

I think most of us here relate to that. I'd be gutted too! Pleased for them but very pissed. It's all just luck and we're clearly not lucky!

We still have a chance as some folk feel no diff & go on to get a bfp, fx!

I know at least 10 babies due this year.
Only so many smiley faces I can wear.

On another note, had anyone tried the clomid/robitussin combo? I've discovered that robitussin is vile. OMG how do drug addicts drink it by the bottle?

I'm thinking of trying acupuncture too.

I've been using it serenity & has made a huge diff! You could try a diff brand, as long as its only got guaifenesin (sp?) stuff in if.

I hope you don;t mind me joining this thread. I feel a bit of a cheat as I'm not using clomid. I've been told that I will be given Tamoxifen but not till my next appointment at the end of July. This is my last ditch attempt of TTC before embarking on IVF. I've also got to get my BMI to 30 and under which I am still struggling with

Ginger what's the recommended doesage of Robitussin? Are we allowed to use this? I might ask the consultant when I see her in July!

is robitussan a coff med? how woukd that help the clomid. I am getting to the desperate state where I will do anything. I think this whole process is messing with my head now. and starting to make my self ill. im due to test on friday this week is dragging and im dreadding getting BFN

Welcome london, the more the merrier here.

Ladies it works in the following way. Side affect of clomid is to thicken cm which isn't great for spermies. It's a decongestant so it thins cm thus making our vagagas a better environment. I take it for a few days (maybe 3 or when I start opk testing) to AF. Teaspoon in morning & evening but I'm not fantatical about it. Has made a big diff to me. Get a cough med where its the only active ingredient, that's why robitussin is good but there are other brands. Hth!

Hey ladies, how is everyone doing? Hope you are all well.

I went for my 16 week check up today and heard baby's heartbeat, was just amazing! My midwife said that I will probably start feeling the baby since hearing the heartbeat and guess what.......I felt it! It feels like bubbles popping, it's mad!

Great sensation kerry. I remember that with my DS it felt like flapping wings in my tommy.

So I had my 1st injection yesterday of gonal-f. The appointment with the FC was rubbish tho. I'm back to see him next week for a scan to see how I'm reacting to the injections.

hi everyone - just checking in :)

CD8 over here so not much going on although thankfully I have stopped feeling like an oven at night. Have had some icky side effects from clomid this month so really not feeling like taking it again - next month should be the double up to 100mg but I don't think I will...

Anyway got to wait until Tuesday for scan so DTD at least every other day until then.

Looking forward to some good news on here soon!

Thanks for the welcome :) Since my last post, I've found out that I will be given tamoxifen instead of clomid. Does anyone know what tamoxifen is? I gather the side effects are slightly different than clomid.

Ginger I've noted what you said about the cough syrup but it looks like I won't need it for tamxoifen.
