Stone, this sounds exciting!!

LAM1 · 17/06/2014 17:54

Have been reading this thread with interest and suspect I will now be on here a lot....have been given clomid due to PCOS, DH is collecting prescription tomorrow. We had a chat with the fertility nurse today, she ran through a bit of info. One thing she did talk about was twins -now to go from no sign of a baby to a possibility of 2 is mad. Anyway there is a history of twins on both sides of the family. So my question, have any of you considered insurance for twins? I have googled and its hurting my head. Thought you ladies may just give a simple and quick answer that will help with the headache!

LondonSuperTrooper · 17/06/2014 18:12

Hello Lam and welcome to this thread.

I am sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about!! What insurance for twins?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/06/2014 19:01

Hi lam, welcome, lots of good advice & support to be had here. I've not, think we're all convinced we'll have quads the way the drs go on but I'm on my last month with not a sniff of a bfp.

With so many twins in both your families it may be diff for you, I hope so!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/06/2014 19:03

Didn't know you could get insurance for twins!

Triplespin · 17/06/2014 19:19

Fx stone!! Update us tomorrow.

ImpatientOne · 17/06/2014 21:03

Everything crossed for you Stone

well not quite everything as that would kind of defeat the object Grin

LAM1 · 17/06/2014 21:38

Thanks for the welcome! Nor did I until the someone at work took it out. Can't ask her though as she hasn't a clue this is going on. It pays out on arrival of twins to cover the double costs. Was in a bit of a rut thinking nothing was ever going to happen but the positive stories on here have helped plus the chat today. The twin thing wouldn't have concerned be just based on what the doc said but its all the twins in the family that has me thinking. I'll google some more....

Good luck stone

StoneBaby · 18/06/2014 06:37

Sorry stone. There is still a chance that its just too early, it takes some people longer to register a bfp on a test. Your symptoms do sound promising. Are you normally regular?

LondonSuperTrooper · 18/06/2014 08:42

I agree with Ginger. As hard as this may be, can you leave it & re-test in a couple of days?

StoneBaby · 18/06/2014 08:48

Well the evil b*ch has arrived. Good thing that I'm at work as if not I'll crying my eyes out.

Thanks for the support

Aww stone - sorry that the witch has arrived. Hope you can keep yourself busy at work and not think about it too much.

Will you be taking clomid again or review? How many clomid cycles have you had so far?

StoneBaby · 18/06/2014 09:13

triple I had 4 cycles of clomid and this cycle was my 1st of gonal-f injections.

I'll be seen the FC next week for my 1st scan for this cycle.

kerry I think you should go with Aladdin. Seriously.

Triplespin · 18/06/2014 17:55

Stone I am so sorry. Hope the FC are able to help with answers. How many more cycles of gonal-f will they offer you? I guess age is also a factor in tx, how old are you if you don't mind me asking? Sorry I don't know everyone's history.

kerrylou84 · 18/06/2014 18:11

So sorry stone x

StoneBaby · 18/06/2014 20:36

triple I'm 35 and diagnosed with secondary infertility. I don't know how many cycles I can have on gonal. It's on my list of things to ask. Once that's gone that'll be the end of ttc for me Sad

Can anyone describe what implantation bleeding feels like? Does it just feel like cramps? Or can it cause irritation?

AnnieHoo · 19/06/2014 11:25

Hi Firstimer

Both times I felt a tugging on left side in ovary area and a sharp stabbing pain - moderate pain but made me stop and say 'ouch' out loud.

How's everyone doing?

Just back from OB/GYN appointment and got our chromosome abnormality tests and recurrent miscarriage tests back all OK - what a relief!! Smile
