belly that's a shame - good luck with the blood test. Are you going to test with a FRER every day or wait for the bloods?

duggs can't believe you are 14 weeks - are you showing yet???

pebbles good luck for Saturday, hope the cystitis has gone by then!

I am at zita west today to talk about possibility of donor egg next year. Want to try naturally for another 6 months first, might do a few SO rounds.

duggs1976 · 23/04/2014 13:13

Ask about gonal f I have some for you here if you allowed it sue... Expect you get blood results this afternoon don't you belly?

swlondonnanny · 23/04/2014 13:18

Belly fingers crossed for good result.
Duggs wow 14 weeks
Pebbles only a couple of days and you will be in sunny Athens. Did your sample get delivered yet? Mine is still showing as waiting for delivery...
Ari so sorry about your OH's dad - so many things to cope with at the same time
Mel are you temping this cycle? Did you notice a temperature drop when you started pred again? And how is your OH's back? Hope he feels better now

BellyD · 23/04/2014 13:29

Hi, so it is a bfp, but HCG level is 33.9 which the nurse said was a little low. I am 11dpt 4dt. My progesterone is 133.8 - is this massively high? Anyway, now just got to mental until a repeat test on Friday to see if the levels have doubled, I am def not in Ari territory! I am going to book my IVIG for Friday pm regardless - got to give ourselves the best shot.

duggs1976 · 23/04/2014 14:11

Ok so will have to rely on Frer to see if the line gets stronger tomorrow and the next day until the bloods come in Friday.... Here's hoping bellyGrin how r u feeling?

BellyD · 23/04/2014 14:29

Frer line def stronger each day so far. No major symptoms apart from a few twinges and bigger b**bs! x

duggs1976 · 23/04/2014 16:01

Ok so that is what you want ... Most people in UK don't get blood tests anyway so as long as hcg going up that is what we want. So 10 days past a 4 day transfer could be a slow implanter and you just have less hcg in system the amounts are so variable belly. Do you feel ok?

VillageMum · 23/04/2014 16:06

belly I'm sure you know all of this already but hcg varies from pregnancy to pregnancy, and many do show slightly lower hcg in the very early stages and go on to be perfectly successful and healthy. A low rise at first can also be naturally compensated for by a very rapid rise later, just as if the embryo is trying to catch up. As long as the FRER line is getting stronger that's a great sign. Thinking of you x

Pebbles73 · 23/04/2014 22:02

I am looking forward to the trip Ari, not feeling excited about more treatment but am sure once I have been there will be much more enthused. We need a plan if action!
Thank you for all your advice re Serum. When do you have another scan?

Nanny my sample was delivered today! That took two weeks do don't give up on yours getting there!!

Belly glad to hear is defo bfp, i think hcg blood tests just worry you more! I would quite like to not have any if I get another bfp. Friday will soon come round before you know it.

Waves to all.

Mel3062 · 24/04/2014 06:22

Good luck Belly, fingers crossed for you.
Nanny yes I'm temping vaginally this cycle.yes I did get a bit of a drop when started pred, is that normal??
Then it went up again the day after, strange!it looks less erractic so far! Though some white circles!
Oh is off this week with his back too though he's stopped the diazepam thankfully. The osteopath helps.
Thanks for asking. We are even trying to Dtd in the morning which is a change!
Waves to everyone x

swlondonnanny · 24/04/2014 08:36

Mel yes, I had that temperature drop with pred as well, also after acupuncture when using some points to lower NKcells. It used to confuse FF software big time Grin.
I have a really bad back as well, could hardly move on Tue. Also I should be ovulating just now as well but with all the painkillers and my back/hips/legs/tummy hurting I can't say what's going on and also had a few faulty Ovulation tests so have no idea what's going on. Not that I am keen to DTD...
pebbles that gives me hope that they will deliver mine as well. Now my DH is worried if they still can process it after 2 weeks. Looks like he actually cares about this whole TTC.
Hopefully they will have the results for you by Mon so you can have a plan and also aquascan goes well and you don't need a hysteroscopy ( it is so expensive!!!) I had mine in Dec and was told all's fine so wouldn't be really impressed if I needed another one in June in athens

BellyD · 24/04/2014 09:47

Morning ladies. Sorry to hear about all the bad backs - so painful - especially if DTD involved too. Pebbles so glad your sample has arrived, hopefully you will get the all clear as that will be one extra thing ticked off the list. I know the thought of more invasive treatment is hideous but hopefully you will feel more inspired when you get to Athens.

Ok, so today's frer is a little bit darker than yesterday's but crucially (clutching at straws) quite a lot darker than the day before yesterday. I have taken a pic (like a loon!) but not sure how to post it. None of the lines are as dark as the control line, but they are not 'squinting in the sun to spot' lines either. Anyway I am now going to stop googling and being obsessive about it until tomorrow's bloods. As we all know, there is nothing I can do about it in any case. What will be will be! X

brownstag · 24/04/2014 13:04

Sorry, I seem to have lost track at some point of this thread but have just been catching up.
belly, great news on your BFP. I'm not sure you can send files on mumsnet, unless we sent our email addresses to send them to? I'd be interested to see the pics. If I haven't lines of my own to obsess over, I'm equally happy to investigate someone else's. :)
ari, what a lot of stress in your life, but from the point of view of your pregnancy maybe it's a small mercy that the focus of it is elsewhere and not on how the pregnancy is going. Not that you want any stress of course, and it sounds a heartbreaking situation.

swlondonnanny · 24/04/2014 13:45

Yey the sample has arrived to Serum Grin
Sorry to go on about it but finally have a feeling like something is being done. Am very dissapointed with my GP / whole NHS system at the moment. After ma last chemical ( in March) I went to see a GP just to make sure I am not anaemic again just to be told of for trying when clearly it's not working and was told that I should think about why God doesn't want us ( me and my DH) to have a baby!!! And I shouldn't get emotional about it and just adopt!!! Shock
Well after all this speech we went through my file just to be told that the RMclinic we went to a year ago didn't really do all the tests and agreed that I will be reffered to St Mary's RM clinic. I just got an appointment through the post with an appointment to St Mary's Fertility clinic!!! The bl**dy GP can't even do a referral letter properly???
So I suppose we'll just waste tue afternoon to be told that they can't do anything for us as I am too old and fat for ivf!
Sorry to complain but when I talk to my friends they just don't understand that even if I was offered an IVF tomorrow I'd say no - as long as I don't know why I miscarry I just don't see any reason to do IVF just to loose it at 5 weeks again.
Or am I missing anything? Is there anything else a fertility clinic can offer?

duggs1976 · 24/04/2014 13:52

Sorry about all this nannyHmm I don't think st Mary's can offer anything that hadn't already been covered. I wouldn't even waste your energy. They were v vdissapponting. I honestly think you should focus on serum and see what penny has to say. It may be that if your infection tests come back clear she recommends DE IVF for you which there is a point doing because u r guaranteed grade A embryos it is a totally different level to standard. Have you had a phone consult yet?

swlondonnanny · 24/04/2014 14:13

Thank you Duggs will have phone consultation once the they have the results in. I actually still need karyotyping results + proper full clood clotting + someone who will do a proper scan of my uterus as have been to 3 different places and one of them claims I have fibroids, other that I have polyp , other hearshaped uterus etc. They all contradict themselves. Also I am fed up with having to pay for something I should have had checked 3 years ago ( after 3 miscarriages). Of course I know there are loads of tests NHS doesn't do and we'll have to pay for that but don't really have money to do NHS + private one privately...
But yes can't wait for the phone consultation with Serum

brownstag · 24/04/2014 14:17

Outrageous and quite bizarre treatment by your GP! And if God doesn't want you to have a baby, does he also want people to have the otherwise fatal illnesses that GPs routinely treat too? Perhaps we oughtn't to bother immunising children, for instance, and leave it all in God's hands.
I agree with Duggs; Serum seem to be everything that fertility treatment isn't in this country. Why not just concentrate on them? Although I haven't had any treatment with them, I found Penny to be so reassuring, and that they really will look after you, worry about everything for you, so that you don't have to any more.

Mel3062 · 24/04/2014 17:28

Aw nanny I'm sorry to hear that but glad your sample has arrived ;)
Belly pleased your line is darker.
Tried to get prescription for intralipids from dr g and apparently I've to pay £60 as not seen him for a month? Is that right? Even though he sent me off to try for 6 months and gave me 6 months worth?

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 12:18

Belly I've got everything crossed for you for a good bloods result.

nanny, I can only second what brown said above about your GP's remarks. Just incredible! How totally inappropriate to invoke God in a clinical medical setting. It just beggars belief. Ignore it and trust in Serum! They seem very thorough, and as you say - until you have had comprehensive tests, and know what is causing your miscarriages, there is no point in trying IVF. Serum might well advise you to try naturally, once they have done all the necessary tests. Very best of luck to you, hope you get the answers you need very soon.

Pebbles73 · 25/04/2014 14:33

Glad your sample has arrived Nanny, will be interesting to see if our results come out the same or not ! Just couldn't believe the things your doctor said, incredible!!!

Belly hope everything ok and your blood test was good news, have fingers crossed.

BellyD · 25/04/2014 14:53

Nanny outraged for you about your GP's comment, how ridiculously unprofessional. Glad your sample has turned up.

Not great news at our end - level today 48 hrs later is 55.3 only a rise of 62% - so ZW have said to test again Monday. This is even harder than the 2ww - not helped by all the drugs etc swirling round my system. I am currently hooked up to IVIG, really praying that might give things a kick up the *rse. Am alternating between despondency and what will be will be and the fear that if this doesn't work knowing we have a good embryo on board, then what will?

VillageMum · 25/04/2014 15:28

belly this could very well just be a slow-rising pregnancy. Stay hopeful! You are doing everything you can with the IVIG. The levels ARE rising xx

Pebbles when do you go to Greece? it must be very soon now.

duggs1976 · 25/04/2014 16:05

I hear you belly about the bigger picture. If this is an excellent quality embryo and it is struggling then it looks like IVIG is the best bet as it looks like immune are really at play for you. Not much comfort but at least you are getting them into you. What did progesterone levels show? I really hope this IVIG gives you the immune suppression you probably need for this little one to embed. That is all you can hope for now. It is trying bless it. I wish you as quick a weekend as you can have. Look after yourself x

suemays · 26/04/2014 10:39

Has anyone found or started a new thread for the other one we are on? Its on 1000 posts!
belly I am sure you will be fine but it's still a worry.
