No mel, I just used sairei-to, on John's advice. I had followed the suggestion in Agate's FAQ last year, which included cordyceps, but I found my immune system reactions increased and when I ran this past John he was actually shocked at the combination suggested in Agate's FAQ as he said he couldn't think of a combination more suited to BOOSTing your immune system and absolutely I shouldn't be taking it!! You might want to chat to John before you order anything, explain your situation. He's very helpful :)

Yes he's been great but has emailed this:
Since you are trying naturally I would recommend the following for you.

Cordyceps: A 90 day course of 4 capsules per day to be taken in conjunction with your Sairei-to. Of course in reality you would start taking them as soon as you get them which would be a bit later than the Sairei-to which is already on the way, but that's fine. This would be a total of 360 capsules for the entire 90 day course. Cordyceps cost 0.50 Euros per capsule so the cost for the course would be 180 Euros.

Vitality Herbs: A 80 day course of 1 capsule two days for the entire course. This would be 40 capsules. Vitality Herbs cost 1.5 Euros per capsule so the cost for the course would be 60 Euros.

With the courier charges: 40 euros the entire cost would be: 180 + 60 + 40 = 280 euros.

If cost is a prohibitive factor then you could go with a 60 day course for each of these but it would be much better if you could do the 90 day course since you will be doing a 90 day course of Sairei-to.
Hope it doesn't rise my cells!!

I'd trust John - he won't give you bad advice.

Crikey but these herbs are expensive aren't they? I thought sairei-to on its own was bad enough, but when you add in others as well ... ouch!

I'd do anything if it works! Think I'll give them a try, I'll see what dr g suggests next too. Thanks ari it just worried me taking them all at same time!

Mel3062 · 28/08/2014 16:12

He's reassured me!!

suemays · 28/08/2014 18:15

mel I would try anything that could work!

I have some news - am currently 18 weeks pregnant with a boy! Had an anomaly scan today to primarily check the kidneys but was told everything else was normal too. Have been itching to tell everyone on here but petrified I would have another fatal 20 week scan and have to terminate as I did in 2012. This pregnancy was conceived on the first round of super ovulation at zita west using gonal f plus all the immune treatment. I started pred at bfp and had one intrallipid infusion at ovulation before I got a bfp (which would have been repeated every 3 months until pregnant). It seemed to work for me as taking pred from ovulation messed my cycles up. I then had intrallipids at 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks plus clexane and calcium tablets until 12 weeks. I would recommend the more holistic and natural approach at zita west as it has worked so far for me.
Still worried something will go wrong but I guess that's normal!

Mel3062 · 28/08/2014 18:32

Oh sue congratulations delighted for you xx

swlondonnanny · 29/08/2014 10:33

Sue what a great news Smile
I have a few questions if you dont mind.
Did Dr George suggest this immune protocol for you? I wanted to go to see him but was told (when I called ZW) that he could only offer treatment if we did IVF with them. So how does that work? Is doing SO with them enough to have immune treatment with them? Do you mind me asking how much is SO through ZW?

Arianrhod · 29/08/2014 10:35

sue!!!! SO damned pleased, what fantastic news!!! :) :) :) Without wishing to jinx anything, what does that make your due date??

BellyD · 29/08/2014 23:40

Oh Sue, that is amazing news. I thought you had been a bit quiet of lateWink. Sooo pleased for you.

Breezyweezy · 30/08/2014 10:11

Sue what fantastic news! Congratulations!

Waves to everyone.

suemays · 30/08/2014 11:57

nanny I went to see them for recurrent miscarriage but we did speak about ivf. George said he wanted me to try naturally for a while whilst having intrallipids every 3 around ovulation before a bfp. After 2 months I decided I wanted to try SO so he put me on gonal f. I had previously tried letrozole with mr s twice which had resulted in chemicals so was keen to try a new approach. I was a bit disappointed as only produced one follicle on the first go but George reassured me that it only takes 1 and it worked! The gonal f was pricey but I was advised by George to get it from Asda as they do fertility drugs at cost price. The intrallipids are £165 each time so nearly £200 cheaper than other clinics which soon mounts up when you need four from a bfp.

Initial consultation is £240 with scans at £165 for SO. Hcg shot was around £7 from a local chemist near baker st. They don't insist on scans every few weeks once preg unless you want more - I had one at 7 and 10 weeks. They also don't charge for prescriptions if you are a patient. I found George to be very sympathetic as his wife has suffered miscarriage and all of the staff were warm and friendly. For me, being able to have daytime appointments rather than evening worked better as I went whilst dd was at school. Some of the clinics seem to work evenings or early mornings which were a pain to me sorting out childcare. I liked it that ZW wanted to support your emotional as well as physical well being and I didn't feel like it was one treatment fits all.

suemays · 30/08/2014 11:58

Due 31st jan!

swlondonnanny · 30/08/2014 19:15

Sue thank you so much for all that info.
I actually called Zita West in the morning and had a long chat with the receptionist and was told that I can have a consultation with Dr George and if I need immune treatment he can prescribe whatever I need. I stressed out that we are not looking to do IVF just now and want to carry on trying naturally but will need immune treatment and she said it was fine (!!!!!) - when I spoke to them about 6 weeks ago they said it wasnt possible...
So we'll go to see Dr George on 16th Sept and see what he suggests ( if they tell us then that he will only provide immune treatment if we do IVF I dont know what I will do)
Had an appointment with Dr Gorgy yesterday and he decided I had to have LIT + Humira + another lot of blood clotting tests and we are not allowed to TTC till this is all done and after that we can try and he will provide a plan.... Well I ended up going home very upset.
And ended up calling Zita West. There was no question if I am happy and willing to have LIT/Humira...

Mel3062 · 30/08/2014 19:50

Sue, I've been to dr g and his super ovulation is so pricy. I actually have gonal f and ovitrelle in the fridge so eager to use it up. I was told id need another consultation if I wanted fertility drugs :/ he thinks ivf is my best bet. I was told I need lad retested too even though it was just 6 months Ago. Soooo may now try dr George for the superovulation point of view while I save for ivf. Do you know if they'd let me get a scan at home and email it to them?

brownstag · 31/08/2014 07:58

Hooray, Sue! That's just so, so wonderful. I won't say I didn't have an inkling. Wink As Belly says, you'd been a bit quiet. I'm always amazed at the fortitude of anyone who can keep these things to themselves - it's something I've never learned.
Nanny, it's just so frustrating. You wish there was just a simple, single route to take, that you could rely on someone else to do the thinking for you and not have to make all these confusing decisions between competing (and highly expensive) solutions.
Mel, if I had all that stuff knocking around, I'd be using it asap. I personally think ovulation needs a bit of extra help, extra energy if you like, when you have low AMH and it looks like gonal f can do the trick. I keep thinking about it but never seem to get off the starting blocks.
Has anyone had more than 12 superovulations or ovarian stimulation, incl IVF? I have one left.
Fertility Friend has lost all my records for the last 3 years, btw. Strangely liberating. I think I'm day 15, not ovulated yet and this cycle is otherwise normal.

swlondonnanny · 31/08/2014 13:29

Brown I think villagemum is doing SO and has been for a while. She might know how many are allowed.

suemays · 31/08/2014 18:34

mel don't think they would let you have a scan at home as they want to check everything. I was triggered by one of their nurses after the scan on day 10 with this pregnancy so ovulated on day 12.

nanny dr nudweke def does miscarriage treatment as he was one of the pioneers at create in Nottingham. He didnt say I needed ivf for immune treatment. I originally did consider him for immunes alongside donor egg with ivf Spain after talking to belly, but he was the one who advised me to try naturally for a few months first, then super ovulation. I think they don't go in all guns blazing and force you down the road of ivf.

VillageMum · 01/09/2014 17:14

brown Mr S told me that with letrozole there isn't necessarily a limit on how many SO cycles you can do. Not sure if that's the case with Gonal F!

brownstag · 02/09/2014 13:49

That's interesting, thanks, Village. How many have you had now?
I'm on day 17 and ovulating today, so more like my old cycle again. At least I won't have a 23-day cycle like last time, with early ovulation and a 10-day luteal phase!

Pebbles73 · 02/09/2014 16:22

Hi all thought I would pop on and see how you are all doing, miss chatting to you all!

Sue was so pleased to see your amazing news and wanted to say congrats! Smile

Arianrhod · 03/09/2014 11:50

pebbles How on earth are you? How are you doing? I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are!

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 03/09/2014 14:36

Ahhh that's so sweet of you Ari and I am doing good thanks. Had a couple if weeks feeling pretty depressed and crap from coming off the steroids and then just got on with things like you do! Been really busy and out a lot so took my mind off it all. Hoping to do fet at Serum end of the month then after that we just have to decide if we give donor eggs a try just to see or straight to adoption.

How are you getting on and how far along are you now?? I hope it's all still going well for you, when are you due ?

Arianrhod · 03/09/2014 14:46

Have Serum suggested any change in your protocol? Added neupogen at all? Your hysto cuts will still be in force, so no worries about having to have an endo scratch at least!

Me, feeling hugely elephantine although my lovely friends all assure me I have a 'neat bump'. Neat? It's huge! lol Due 17th Nov (27+2 now), since hospital have told me they will not let me go past 38 weeks come what may, but they don't seem to want to discuss options just yet.
