What next? Will Sponge Bob have to stop living under the sea because some kid wont wear arm bands in the water because Sponge Bob doesnt need to

The mother is Barking

BellaBear · 15/01/2010 10:08

it's not even as if when they wearing seat belts they are five-point harness type things

gorionine · 15/01/2010 10:08

VT you are right of course!

grenadine · 15/01/2010 10:17

Peppa pig is an animal not a human and I haven't seen any dogs wearing seatbelts or in car seats!

gorionine · 15/01/2010 10:20

here

gorionine · 15/01/2010 10:22

Still agree with you though grenadine as on the to[p of not being human, she is not real!!1

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 15/01/2010 10:22

and she's a bloody talking pig!

LilRedWG · 15/01/2010 10:22

She's barking, absolutely barking. Raise your child, don't let Mummy and Daddy Pig do it for you.

LilRedWG · 15/01/2010 10:23

The mother is barking - not Peppa, obviously. [wank]

LilRedWG · 15/01/2010 10:24

Christ - I meant not [wank].

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 15/01/2010 10:24

They have encouraged my children to jump in muddy puddles though.

slightlystressed · 15/01/2010 10:24

Ridiculous

havoc · 15/01/2010 10:25

at 'Raise your child, don't let Mummy and Daddy Pig do it for you'

gorionine · 15/01/2010 10:28

'Raise your child, don't let Mummy and Daddy Pig do it for you'

I think it should be quote of the week as there is so much wisdom in it!

We could have variations like "Feed your child, do not let the gouvernment do it for you"

I am sure there could be tonnes of others...

MarineIguana · 15/01/2010 10:29

I have to admit it crossed my mind when watching PP that they didn't wear seatbelts and it was a bit of a bad example Not so much that I did anything about it though...

ShinyAndNew · 15/01/2010 10:34

Dora the Explorer was riding in a hot air balloon with a lion, t'other day.

Do you think that would be a suitable after school activity for dd1? She is 6.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 15/01/2010 10:39

im still giggling like a child over LilRedWGs typo...

scrappydappydoo · 15/01/2010 10:43

The new series does have them wearing seatbelts -must be a slow news day I mean its not like there's been a major earthquake somewhere or anything
I get get hassle that peppa was allowed to go outside and look at the stars at bedtime and my deprived dd's do not - I just say no!
I also have dd1 telling me everytime we see a boat that you have to wear a life jacket on a boat 'so we can be safe' just like dora

gorionine · 15/01/2010 10:44

If there is enough space in it for both your DD and a lion I do not see why not, providing they wear helmets and padded suits as well as seat belts, just in case, ShinyAndNew!

mayorquimby · 15/01/2010 11:29

Who the fuck are these moron parents who ring up the papers about this? it really does make you consider making people take a basic intelligence test to obtain some sort of licence to breed.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 15/01/2010 11:33

Me too, bouncingferret - now that is an emoticon I bet HQ haven't considered yet!!

And VT is spot on - these parents should tell their child to put her seatbelt on, and refuse to go anywhere until she does.

Simples.

GoldenSnitch · 15/01/2010 12:37

If Peppa Pig is 5 then she should be in a properly fitted car seat or at least a booster seat, not just a seat belt! George definitely needs a car seat!!

I shall write and complain!

JLo2 · 15/01/2010 14:01

Haven't laughed so much in ages - thanks
